Syftet med denna kandidatuppsats är att undersöka vad forskningen säger om trygghet i den fysiska miljön. Vidare är syftet att undersöka hur Stockholms stad förhåller sig till denna forskning genom sina två ansökningar till Boverket om stöd för trygghetsprojekt. Arbetet har utgått från två teoretiska perspektiv - social brottsprevention och situationell brottsprevention. Undersökningen har skett genom metoden kvalitativ innehållsanalys, som använts för att analysera de två ansökningarna ?Trygg i Trekantsparken? och ?Trygga samband över Järvafältet?. Resultatet visar att forskningen om trygghet i den fysiska miljön är nyanserad.

Stockholm har inför 2050 satt upp ett mål om att bli koldioxidfritt. I strävan mot detta söker man utvinna energi med förnybara metoder och ett alternativ för elproduktion inom stadskärnan skulle kunna vara solceller. Solceller är en teknik som genom sammanfogande av halvledarmaterial och den fotoelektrisk effekt genererar el ur solinstrålning.Avhandlingen studerar dagens solceller, med verkningsgrader uppemot 20 % och deras potential att täcka den mindre del av Stockholms elbehov som idag härstammar från fossila bränslen. Genom att se till en uppskattad befintlig takyta i Stockholms kommun och jämföra den med ytan som baserat på solcellernas potential behövs för att täcka behovet, konstateras att endast en liten del av detta kommer kunna täckas. För att solceller skall vara aktuella inom storskalig elproduktion, krävs att de är ekonomiskt lönsamma och att det i dagens läge är praktiskt genomförbart att montera dem inom stadskärnan.

Within the ambulance care in Uppsala County a vacuum splint is used to immobilize fractures on extremities. The research available on which method of immobilizing to prefer during pre-hospital treatment is limited. The purpose of this pilot study was to examine the perceptions of the ambulance personal in Uppsala County on the issue of usability of SAM-splint and vacuum splint when immobilizing extremities. The project was also aimed at researching if SAM-splint could be seen as an alternative or a complement to vacuum splint, and to get an apprehension on any evident differences in patients? perceived pain when treated with the two different approaches. A descriptive comparative study was carried out. All patients, regardless of age and sex, with the need of immobilizing supposed fractures, were included.  Patients with suspected femur fracture, collum fracture, or where pre-hospital care was not possible or in question, was excluded.

There is no standardized test to control the appropriate physical ability in the Swedish ambulance service. The county in question does not perform annual physical tests. A project has been going to develop science-based physical tests, designed for the ambulance service. The research has resulted in the Aasa-test.Objective: The aims of this study were to examine the ambulance staff perception of the Aasa-test relevance, introduction of annual tests and the importance of their own physical training in relation to ambulance work.Method: A quasi-experimental study with a comparative design has been conducted. Aasa-tests were conducted in 41 randomly selected staff at an ambulance station in central Sweden.

This paper discusses animal welfare, and Sweden, as an EU member state, has a responsibility toensure that official animal welfare inspections are carried out in accordance with communityregulations. The first of January 2009, the welfare moved from the municipalities in to the 21county administrative boards. This restructuring was made due to the deficiencies that the auditconducted by the EU of the FVO (Food and Veterinary Office) 2003 found in the Swedishsystem. Sweden failed in coordination and inspection to ensure animal welfare.The aim of this examination paper is to shed light on animal welfare work operated in the countyof Halland and in Sweden in general. This is an essay about unemployment in Trollhättan during the period 1880-1910. In my essay I write about what was made to help the ones who were unemployed. I ask the questions: What did the society, the workers and last but not least the unemployed themselves do?My conclusion is that some things were done. For example were The Labor Unions in their growth and economical support from them and the county could help some people.

The aim for this essay is to investigate the importance of studying religion in an upper secondary school in Närke county, this is done by distribution of a questionnaire. The importance is studied both on the individual level and on the societal level. The result shows that although the students do not have a big interest in religious studies still the subject has an importance on both an individual and a society level..

Modern forestry requires a high degree of machine traffic for clear felling and scarification operations. The machines most frequently used are big and the traffic often results in tracks on the forest ground. There are many small streams running through a forest, in connection to logging operations, machines might cross these frequently. These crossings could result in the erosion of fine particulate inorganic matter, which ends up in the stream. The aim of this thesis was to give a general description of small forest streams of order-one in the county of Värmland and to determine the frequency of machine tracks in small streams.

Hotellbranschen har utvecklats till att fokuserar mer på att locka externa besökare utifrån, vilket förändrar dynamiken kring hur hotell ser på sig själva och dess omgivning. Denna uppsats syftar till att studerar hur hotellen använder sina publika utrymmen såsom lobby, bar och restaurang till att locka mer människor utifrån och vilka typer av rum som skapas. Uppsatsens empiriska material bygger på intervjuer med anställda på olika hotellkedjor i Stockholms län. Det teoretiska ramverket bygger främst på Ray Oldenburgs teori om den tredje platsen men även kring teorier om hotellens påverkan på städer, tjänstesamhällets utbredning och teorin om buzz. Resultatet av studien visar att hotellen har förutsättningar och möjligheter att fungera som mötesplatser som liknar den tredje platsen genom att de fått nya möjligheter genom att kombinera deras tillgång till ytor och ny teknik.

I dagsläget kan WM-datas Fältmodul i deras MoveITS-system inte hantera kartdata i andra format än Shape. Fältmodulen är en TabletPC som kör operativsystemet Windows XP. Den kan användas för att redigera viss geografisk information som exempelvis skyltpositioner. Fältmodulen används av Stockholms Tekniska kontor för inventering av skyltstolpar.Stockholms Tekniska kontor ska börja leverera sina kartor i GML (Geography Markup Language). Men eftersom WM-datas Fältmodul inte klarar av det formatet skulle det här examensarbetet gå ut på att ta fram komponenter för hantering av det.

I denna studie undersöks betygshets bland juridikstudenter vid Stockholms universitet. Syftet med studien är att undersöka om studenternas kulturella kapital och sociala kapital kan relateras till sannolikheten att de har upplevt mycket betygshets under sin studietid på juristprogrammet. Kulturellt kapital indikeras i denna studie av föräldrars utbildningsnivå samt studenters betyg från gymnasiet, medan socialt kapital indikeras av antalet personliga kontakter som varit stöd under utbildningen samt antal kontakter som varit ett intellektuellt stöd under utbildningen. Data är insamlat via en enkät som skickades ut av juridiska institutionen vid Stockholms universitet hösten 2014 till samtliga studenter som påbörjade juristutbildningen vid Stockholms universitet hösten 2007 eller våren 2008, vilket gör studien till en totalundersökning. Data omfattar svar från 119 av 591 tidigare studenter, varav 104 ingår i denna studie.

The purpose with this thesis is to investigate how a number of municipalities in Stockholm County proceed when they allocate land and establish land allocation agreements for exploitation, and to investigate how a number of municipalities define land allocations and land allocation agreements on the occasion of public land sales. The aim of this thesis is to describe the allocation methods a municipally uses when they offer land for sale and to give an insight regarding which correlation different land allocation agreements have in different municipalities.Methods used are: (1) a literature review where the underlying theory for land allocations and land allocation agreements have been studied; (2) a questionnaire have been done to complement the literature review and to provide a picture of how a number of different municipalities in Stockholm County use and apply land allocations; (3) an agreement audit have been done to see the extent to which different agreement terms exists.Responses from the questionnaire, together with the definitions form different municipality?s land allocation policies and the literature review, resulted in a definition of a land allocation and a land allocation agreement. The agreement audit shows that agreement terms regarding: price or price indication, location, cost-sharing and planning costs are the most common agreement terms within the municipalities we have investigated.The study suggests that there is some confusion regarding land allocation agreements and the meaning of these, that became apparent when agreements where gathered, despite a careful explanation that it was land allocation agreements we requested, we still got exploitation agreements and purchase agreements. Therefore, we consider it necessary with an official definition of a land allocation agreement well anchored in the Planning and Building Act together with the rules of development agreements or other legislation.That there is a lack of research within the subject becomes evident when reports, essays, and other literature generally refers so the same sources.Keywords: land allocation, land allocation agreement and public land sales.
