Att balansera en tvåhjulig robot har traditionellt innefattat någon form av återkoppling till dedrivande hjulen. Den här rapporten ämnar redogöra för hur såväl design- somkonstruktionsarbetet av en aktiv självbalanserande robot på två hjul kan gå till. De idéer samtlösningar presenterade här skiljer sig från konventionella tvåhjuliga robotar och använder sig avluftströmmen från en rotor för att balanseras. Den färdiga prototypen utnyttjar kraften genereradi en rotor, med kontrollerbar anfallsvinkel, för att balansera kroppen mellan två parallella hjul.Rapporten är resultatet av ett fördjupningsarbete inom Mekatronik, som en del av enKandidatexamen vid Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan, Stockholm, Sverige. Roboten bedöms eftersin prestation i en tävling mot liknande robotar på bland annat punkterna hastighet ochinnovativa lösningar.

SammanfattningSyftet med studien var att utifrån distriktssköterskors berättelser beskriva deras arbete med palliativa patienter inom hemsjukvård samt deras upplevelse av arbetet. Studien hade en beskrivande design och tio distriktssköterskor från fem olika hälsocentraler i Mellansverige deltog i studien. Data samlades in via semistrukturerade intervjuer och analyserades utifrån kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Resultatet redovisas utifrån kategorier som bildade två teman. Temat ?Att balansera mellan nuet och planera slutet ? att vara steget före? framkom ur kategorierna Att se patientens livssituation och utföra omvårdnadsåtgärder, Att strukturera arbetet, Att stödja och ha kontakt med närstående, Att uppleva utvecklings och utbildningsbehov samt Att vara professionell i sitt förhållningssätt och beskriver distriktssköterskornas upplevelse av att vårda palliativa patienter.

AbstractIn this thesis we aim to extend the current theories about a concept called persona. A persona is a model of a user, mostly based on qualitative research and made with such accuracy that it to some extent can be used as a replacement of a real user in a development process and as a communicative tool. We will present a way of constructing this persona without meeting the actual users and follow up with interviews from the organization using them. This will lead to a model over the process of introducing personas as a concept in an organization,previously not familiar with the concept. The model is adapted to also work for projects and organizations where the concept is already known..

The goal of this thesis is to analyse whether the method ?Observiaire? is of any use for traffic analysis. The method consists of analysing film material, preferably before and after changes are made to an area, by answering a survey for the users that are observed within the population. The method also opens up for deeper qualitative analyses which are rooted in the quantitative data collected from the survey-study. In this study we analyse the method by applying it to the case study of the changes made at Götgatan in Stockholm, where a green wave was implemented and the bicycle road widened.

Den här uppsatsen är en kvalitativ analys om hur Stockholm stad har valt att använda sig utav eventkommunikation för att kommunicera ett budskap. Eftersom att event kan användas som strategi inom flera typer utav kommunikationsområden, används här begrepp som kan relatera till flera av dessa områden.För att komma i närmare kontakt med eventet har intervjuer genomförts med projektledaren och kommunikationsansvarig för Kulturnatt Stockholm. Genom textanalys, retorisk analys och innehållsanalys studeras intervjusvaren och en reklamaffisch som utformats för att marknadsföra eventet.Det kan konstateras att det utformade syftet för eventet går hand i hand med det kommunicerande budskapet och att Stockholms stads intressen kan återspeglas i reklamaffischen. .

Abstract In my work, I have tried to define and clarify the conception of sustainability seen from my perspective as a landscape architect. With a basis in literature studies, I have analysed and commented on different applications, contents and meanings of sustainability and endurance. This compilation is based on how a number of writers, researchers and authorities consider the importance of integrating ecological, social and economic aspects of sustainability in city planning. My perspective has mainly been founded on the anthologies and compilations from the 80´s and 90´s where Per G. Berg and Björn Malbert acted as editors.

This thesis describes the redesign ofequipment designed for drying bags thatis used in Fresenius Kabis´manufacturing of their nutritionmedicine in Uppsala. The need of thistask arise during the start of thedevelopment of a new packaging line werethis equipment were meant to be used. Anevaluation of the bagdryers capacity andcapability was necessary.The work started with gathering ofinformation from suppliers of the usedcomponents and from the responsibleengineers for this equipment. Aneducation to learn how the equipmentworked and how to operate it were taken.That was followed by the creation of astudy plan were the tests were plannedto test different parameters effect onthe drying result and to see if thebagdryer managed to handle the bags ofthe correct format in the pace that theequipment should be designed for.The test results detected a need ofdesigning a unit with a function thatholds the bags in place while passingthrough the dryer in order to attainhigh quality results. The results werelater used for optimization of thedesign.

The aim of this thesis is to describe and analyze the geographical distribution of everyday criminality in the town of Borlänge during the year 2002 and to analyze which measures to be taken in the physical social planning to decrease this everyday criminality there. The term everyday criminality is here to be understood as those categories of crime that appear most frequently in the records of reports to the police every year. Here two kinds of crime have been in focus, thefts from cars and office burglary.In fulfilling this aim two main questions have been answered. The first one is how the everyday criminality was distributed geographically in the town of Borlänge during the year 2002. The second one is which measures to be taken in the physical social planning to decrease this everyday criminality in the town of Borlänge.In order to answer the first question a spatial autocorrelation analysis, Local Moran LISA has been used.

Utformningen av mitt bibliotek är förenklat sett en rampförbunden terrasserad plan som tar besökarna på en vandring upp till den översta nivån där gångvägar passerar förbi och leder vidare till andra delar av Södermalm. Byggnaden hängs delvis in i berget med bergsförankringsstag och byggnadskropparna täcks utvändigt med falsad skivtäckning av zinkplåt. This study examines which socially constructed threats and subjects of security existed during the aftermath of the terrorist attacks in Stockholm 2010. With ideas of identity and difference as a starting point the theoretical framework is then developed with ideas from the new critical security studies including key subjects such as attributes, risk, imaging and visualisation. The study will be executed with the use of a discourse analysis approach using newspaper articles and chronicles as the principal empirical material. The analysis will then follow two separate themes. Firstly, the different threats and subjects of security will be deduced, and also, how these social constructions inevitably create each other and require each other to continue existing.

In this thesis I investigate aesthetic preference for picture books among children aged 3?6 as well as criteria for preference among parents. Through my design project: illustration of a picture book, I aim to put my research on preference in the context of illustration and design. By using the design project as an applied method for research I have sought to answer how one as an illustrator can apply knowledge regarding preferences of the target groups when illustrating for picture books. I have primarily based my research within the field of cognitive developmental psychology, with primary focus on stage theory, and the field of literature.
