The purpose of this essay is using theories about labeling and social bonds to study whether a measure of rehabilitation for the psychically disabled contributes to a return to a normal status as not-labeled. Partly we examine whether the activities organized by the regulation-ruled authorities during the work of rehabilitation lead to shame or pride, and partly how these activities are organized regarding the processes that lead to the emotions pride or shame among the participants. Method: qualitative semi-structured face-to-face interviews with professional rehabilitation-actors at the Public Employment Office (PEO), the Social Insurance Office (SIO), the Social Service (SOS), the Psychiatry and the Division of Labour Market (AME).Conclusions: the Psychiatry clients are treated with respect, may participate, and communication is characterized by attunement, therefore strong social bonds can be built. On the contrary, among the other examined activities, we found many elements that arouse shame. Since these are more ruled by regulations, the result is engulfment and demands on conformity, because the compromise-possibilities are almost non-existent.

This study concerns digital stories told by five young Romani students and one teacher from Roma Culture Class in Stockholm, Sweden. The theoretical framework draws from theories concerning identity, culture,Romanipe, the Romani value system and social semiotics. The material for the study is the digital stories that were analyzed qualitatively. The results show that the young Roma in the study demonstrate pride in their Romani background and culture, but also signs of changes and development in their culture. Some of the participants do not show external signs of Romani traditions, for example in the ways of dressing.

This purpose raises important questions of the use of Internet in everyday life.A new stance is taken toward studying the Internets integration into everyday life. Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka och generera idéer om vad som bör tas i beaktande då Västerås skall marknadsföra sig gentemot stockholmare. För att uppfylla detta syfte genomfördes fyra olika fokusgrupper, två i Västerås samt två i Stockholm. Fokusgrupperna iVästerås genomfördes med personer som flyttat till Västerås från Stockholm under 2002-2003. I Stockholm genomfördes de med personer som bor i innerstaden samt väntar barn. De slutsatser som går att dra efter genomförande av studien är att personer som har barn är merlockade av att lämna Stockholm än personer utan, samt att Västerås saknar den starka identitet som Stockholm har.

This comparative study deals with male and female subjects during their visit to Stockholm. The aim was to find out if there were any general differences in travel motives between the sexes. Travel motive and motivation in tourism is a topic that has long been studied. With the help of various motivation theories and theories about how motives for travelling are created, we conducted a survey of tourists in Stockholm and then compared their travel motives. The results gave similar answers to what we had expected regarding gender differences.

The purpose of this study is to examine how the work with young people at home to care and accommodation (HVB) are organized in a municipality outside Karlstad and how the staff perceive emotions in the workplace. The issues that are discussed are based on the concepts of social ties, emotional labor, roles, shame and pride. The number of people who are fleeing in the world is today about 51 million. The purpose of this essay is to investigate if signage for tourists in Stockholm is enough to easily find your way to attractions and public modes of transport and how the city works with the issue. Triangulation was chosen for the essay, that is, a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods. A survey of 100 tourists was carried out in the Old town of Stockholm and interviews were made with stakeholders in the tourism industry and signage policy in Stockholm. The survey showed that most of the tourists found it easy to find their way in Stockholm and that they were content with the signage. Few of the tourists thought it was difficult to find their way in Stockholm.
