The aim of the study was to examine the competence of dental hygienists among Clinic Director´s within the Public Dental Service and Private dentists in the county of Skåne . The study was quantitative and consisted of an electronic questionnaire sent out to all Clinic Directors in the county of Skåne. A total of five hundred and thirty eight questionnaires were sent out. The inclusion criteria were the Clinic directors who employed dental hygienists who had obtained their professional degree during the last four years. Twenty nine Clinic directors responded to the study.The results showed that in general clinic directors are pleased and feel that dental hygienists are proficient in periodontology and dental caries diagnostics.

AbstractWe are facing a century of rapid change in climate, with significant challenges in managing the impact of changes in living conditions for plants and animals. We can already see the responses of species through changes in phenology and spatial distribution, which may change ecosystem structure and function, with subsequent effect on ecosystem services and biological diversity. In Sweden, between 2005 and 2010, the red-listed species has increased by 13 % and similar trends can be seen across the world, making it difficult to attain national and international environmental objectives of preserving biodiversity. One way to reduce the loss of biodiversity is to protect nature from exploitation by allocating valuable areas as nature reserves, but climate change affects protected areas just as much as other landscapes and therefore requires elaborate systems of protection to facilitate species' survival. The paper has examined  how the decisions and management plans for nature reserves in Sweden have been followed-up and whether they are climate adapted or not by examining 30 nature reserves, classified as newly formed (2012), recently revised (2009-2011) and older (1977-2007) reserves, and assessed what is in the decisions and management plans for follow-up, revision, long-term goals and documentation.

Ett problem i offentlig miljö, som Habiliteringscenter Stockholm, är att enkelt och tillfredställande kunna informera de som vistas där hur de ska agera i händelse av brand. Denna information ska vara utformad så att alla som vistas där har möjlighet att begripa den. Detta är speciellt viktigt för offentliga miljöer där personer med funktionsnedsättning vistats. Metod som användes var att utföra en mindre litteraturstudie inom områdena befintlig brand/larm- och utrymningsrutiner, utvecklingstörning, kommunikationsteori och Habiliteringscenter Stockholm, för att få underlag till hur de tänkta rutinerna och informationsbroschyren skulle kunna se ut. Därefter arbetades det fram förslag som diskuterades och utvärderades av Rose-Marie Trillkott och Jan Gustafsson.

Det här är ett arbete om ekologisk dagvattenhantering i Stockholm. Området vi har valt att arbeta med är Kungsträdgården som ligger vid vattnet i centrala Stockholm. Arbetet är utfört dels som en skrivuppgift och dels som en gestaltning som behandlar de praktiska lösningarna i kombination med ett estetiskt värde. Gestaltningsförslaget ingår i en internationell tävling för studenter som har hållbart tänkande i fokus.

AbstractBackground: Plantar fasciitis is the most common heel injury and is a long-term pain syndrom in the attachment of the plantar fascia to the calcaneus bone. The condition is treated mainly in primary care, but there is currently no treatment guideline for the treatment of plantar fasciitis in Sweden. The purpose of this study was to investigate which treatment that occurred in primary care in Dalarna, Gävleborg and Västmanland counties, which treatments that were most common alone and in combination with each other. The aim was also to investigate if the four most commonly used treatment methods as physical therapists said they had used were supported in the literature, and if there was any difference between county employees and private physical therapists in the choice of treatment method.Method: 100 physiotherapists in primary care in Dalarna, Gävleborg and Västmanland counties, received a questionnaire by mail. 80 of the 100 physiotherapists were county employees and 20 were private employees.

Denna uppsats behandlar innerstadens kajer i Stockholm. Syftet är att analysera hur innerstadens kajer fungerar som offentliga rum och hur de uppfattas av stadens invånare. Källmaterialet består till stor del av plandokument samt av intervjuer med både tjänstemän och stadens invånare.  En fallstudie vid en av innerstadens kajer har genomförts för att på ett tydligare sätt förstå kajernas dynamik. Resultaten från uppsatsen visar att planeringen kring kajområdena är splittrad och uppdelad mellan många olika instanser. Denna uppdelning tycks ge kajerna dess fysiska och psykiska utseende som antingen uppskattas eller ogillas av stadens invånare.

I denna uppsats studeras betalningsviljan för småhusrelaterade egenskaper i Stockholm, Göteborg och Malmö för tidsperioden 1994-1996. Med en hedonisk prisekvation estimeras elasticiteter för ett antal småhusrelaterade egenskaper. Exempel på småhusrelaterade egenskaper är boyta, tomtyta, avstånd till kommunaltcentrum och förekomst av bastu. Studiens syfte är att jämföra om betalningsviljan för småhusrelaterade egenskaper skiljer sig mellan storstadsregionerna. Resultaten visar att betalningsviljan för småhusrelaterade egenskaper varierar mellan regionerna Stockholm, Göteborg och Malmö.

This bachelor thesis aims to analyse the Swedish mortgage market and investigate whether it is in a current price bubble or not. Comparisons have been made with Denmark, a country with a market similar to Sweden?s, and where the mortgage market faced a price bubble that crashed in 2008. The housing market in Stockholm has been analysed as a separate market, as it differs from Sweden as a whole in prices and underlying factors to increased prices. The conclusion of this thesis is that not Sweden, nor Stockholm, is currently in a price bubble at the mortgage market.

Tanken med det balanserade styrkortet är att hela organisationen eller företaget skall kunna styras mot ett mer målinriktad beteende där styrkortet fungerar som kommunikationsmedlet.SyfteSyftet med uppsatsen är att utveckla/ta fram ett förslag till ett balanserat styrkort åt Hotell Stockholm.Metod/materialMetoden är grundad på kvalitativa tillvägagångssätt och fyra intervjuer med företrädare för Hotell Stockholm har genomförts. Frågan om etiska överväganden gjorde att vi erbjöd respondenterna att vara anonyma samt att anonymisera Hotell Stockholm.ResultatVi påvisar att varje respondent har kunnat bidra med värdefull information och olika synvinklar, detta har varit betydelsefullt för vårt syfte. Undersökningen visade att Hotell Stockholms vision och affärsidé inte är något som är nedskrivet. Det finns specifika mål/strategier för de olika avdelningarna på hotellet men dessa är mer eller mindre uttalade.

The Stockholm Bypass is an infrastructural project planned to be located west of Stockholm. This study investigates the argumentation concerning the project from different perspectives. The theoretical starting point is within Decision Theory. The main theories include Bounded Rationality, Kingdon's study of the political agenda and theory regarding venue shopping, framing and lobbying. The method chosen for this qualitative case study consists of both gathering data through semi-structured interviews and through documents provided by stakeholders and information available publically through archives and media.

This thesis focuses on the construction of drystone walls in the county of Sm?land, as well as their historical value and significance to the county. In Riksantikvarie?mbetets Plattform Kulturhistorisk v?rdering och urval, a directory for historical evaluations of buildings and objects, the first clause is to describe the object and its history. When trying to do this, the lack of literature focusing on the constructional elements of drystone walls and their history became an issue and is what prompted the writing of this thesis. With a study of different handbooks, a compilation of the constructional elements of the walls were put together.

The purpose of this study is to examine who were given the opportunity to express their opinions in the government proposition concerning the future of the school system ? particularly regarding the proposal that pupils do compulsory military service - submitted to the Swedish parliament 21 March 1941. Our focus is mainly on three parts of the proposition: the proposal to introduce shooting- and grenade practice for all pupils, the proposal to introduce an obligatory military leadership training course for teachers and the proposal to introduce an obligatory summer camp for all pupils.Using primarily a qualitative method we examine how different opinions and views are expressed in the statements and utterances responding to the pending proposition and who the responders are. We will attempt to clarify who were considered to be undisputed authorities and experts, and whose opinions, for that reason, carried a lot of weight in the decision making process, comparing them to the statements and utterances submitted on a voluntary basis by non-experts. And finally, to what extent the opinions in the statements and utterances were allowed to guide the propositional work.Results show that the statements and utterances were submitted by authorities, chapter, county administrative boards and religious, non-profit and political organizations as well as different types of schools, representatives from the Board of Education and elementary school boards not a part of county councils or other types of associations.

In 1911 Valfrid Palmgren founded the Children's Library of Stockholm, the very first in Sweden.She was a well-educated woman, who believed in social and educational equality for all.During a journey to the USA in 1907, she was deeply impressed by the public libraries, andshe put many of the public library ideas to use in the Children's Library of Stockholm. Palmgrenstrongly opposed to the Swedish libraries not allowing admission to children, since shefirmly believed that educating the people had to start with the children.Other reasons for opening a children's library were to give children an alternative to roamingthe streets, to give children a quiet place to read, to give an alternative to the cheap trashliterature that flooded the market and to teach the young ones how to extract information frombooks. This essay is based on the work of arranging and making an inventory for an archive consisting of records from the Board of Education (Utbildningsnämnden) within the administration of the County Council in Uppsala, Sweden. This archive is kept at the County Councils Archives in Uppsala where I have done the work. I have documented the process and discussed the complex of problems relating to it. In this particular case the issue of limitation of the office of origin and the respect of the fonds, or the principle of provenance, have been of interest. This is due to the fact that the records had been rearranged and mixed with records with other origin related to the Board of Education.

Denna uppsats syftar till att undersöka och försöka förstå inverkansfaktorer och maktrelationer bakom planeringen av ett större infrastrukturprojekt. Studiens fokus ligger på det stora vägprojektet Förbifart Stockholm, som bland annat syftar till att avlasta befintligt vägnät och bidra till att bättre knyta samman Stockholms norra och södra kärnor. Den reella politiken och planeringen behöver inte alltid vara densamma som den formella, vilket i uppsatsen klargörs genom bland annat uttalanden i media, remissvar och intervjuer med involverade aktörer och politiker.
