People with certain types of disabilities have the legal right to ask for an individual plan. The idea is that the plan should be a tool for the disabled to get more power and influence over the planned actions that involves their lives. The aim of this thesis was to study the individual circumstances of interpersonal power and influence in the work of individual plans. The study was done with a qualitative approach, where three executing officers and three individuals were interviewed. The results show that the conditions for the individual?s influence are far more complicated than at first glance.

The study is made on behalf of SCA Skog Jämtlands förvaltning which is one of five administration units that SCA Skog consists of. The purpose of the study is to investigate which reduced expenses there are according to spatial concentration of cutting areas. By increasing the spatial concentration of cutting areas it will reduce the need of movements by trailer, also reduce the number of roads that you use during the activities. To be able to perform the study, access to a annual cuttings in nine years have been made available. From this volume new annual cuttings has been created but more concentrated. The two different results have been compared and the results show that concentration of cutting areas generates reduced need for trailer transports and less km road that has to be maintained. But then, if it´s practical viable can be discussed.

The purpose of this master thesis is to examine if booktalk is a good method for stimulating reading based on interviews and observations with two classes of pupils in the intermediate level of the Swedish nine-year compulsory school. Our aim is also to study the reading environment regarding of Aidan Chambers' factors about what is indispensable for a good environment for the children. The factors are: Time for reading, time for reading aloud, the stock of books and conversations about books. The study is based on interviews with 38 pupils, two booktalkers and two teachers in two different cities. It also contains two observations of booktalk.

The goal of this paper is to analyze the influence of the EU on Turkish democracy. In order to achieve this aim, the paper concentrates on three areas, as representative institutions, opposition parties and freedom of expression. The impact of the EU on Turkey has been more explicit during the last decades. In particular since 1999 when the country became a candidate for membership, and that will eventually lead to Turkey joining the European Union. Thereby this paper will examine the demands EU set up for the country and how Turkey accomplishes these criteria.

Syftet med denna studie var att se hur pass medvetna medarbetarna på vuxenförvaltningen inom Eskilstuna kommun var om de jämställdhetsmål som finns i kommunens egna styrdokument om jämställdhet. En webbaserad enkätundersökning har genomförts där 130 enkäter skickades ut. Respondenterna har fått svara på olika frågor runt styrdokumentet och fått ge förslag på förbättringar.  En kvantitativ metod har använts och materialet har analyserats utifrån det teoretiska perspektivet social konstruktivism samt tidigare forskning. Tidigare forskning har visat att det kan vara svårt att implementera en handlingsplan eller styrdokument i stora organisationer på ett tillfredsställande sätt. Resultatet av den genomförda undersökningen visar att få av respondenterna är medvetna om att styrdokumentet finns och bara ett fåtal har läst dokumentet och är medvetna om målen som finns uppsatta..

School can be an effective environment for achieving a more equal health among children and adolescents, since many individuals can be reached by the health promoting work in the school. In the year of 2000 a project in Skåne was started for the development of health promoting schools. The health promoting projects however, have shown to be of short duration. So, as an alternative, the integration of the health in school ought to be tried. The aim of this study is to give examples how health promoting schools can strengthen their profile.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att med tre GARCH-modeller skatta volatiliteten för fjorton aktier med t- och normalfördelade slumptermer. Dessa volatiliteter implementeras sedan i Black-Scholes modell samt i Monte-Carlo simuleringar och utfallen av dessa två värderingsmetoder jämförs.Författarna har kommit fram till att GARCH-modeller behövs för att skatta volatiliteten för de aktier som ingår i arbetet då modellerna tar hänsyn till den föreliggande heteroskedasticiteten.De skillnader som uppstår mellan Monte-Carlo simuleringar och Black-Scholes modell beror främst på skillnader mellan normal- och t-fördelningen samt att volatiliteten ger större effekt i Monte-Carlo simuleringarna. Prior studies have shown that earnings management can be used either to inform or to mislead investors about the future performance of a company. However, few studies have examined the impact of earnings management on forecasting return on equity (ROE). The aim of this thesis is to investigate whether the ability to forecast next year's ROE is improved when taking earnings management, measured as discretionary accruals, into account. This is examined by comparing a forecast model that takes the magnitude of discretionary accruals into consideration with a model that does not. The study is based on companies that were listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange during 2002-2012.

Research in this area is limited and the aim is to illuminate the area by listening to different people's voices that have been close to or involved in relocations. Chalmers University of Technology today have numerous computers which are never powereddown, at the same time there is a need for more computation power for researchers.Hence, we have investigated the possibility to use the computers for computing power andsecondly, if there is no work to be done, to put them into power saving mode.We have made a thorough study where we compared different distributing systems andin the end HTCondor was chosen as the best to implement. HTCondor is an excellent systemfor opportunistic use of computing power, i.e. make use of computers that no one elseis currently using. The system is used at several universities around the world with goodresults and would be excellent at Chalmers, where there is a need for such a system.Our implementation shows that HTCondor is well capable of handling unused computingpower. HTCondor can handle most file types that may be run on the system.
