Många ungdomar besöker idag en fritidsgård och där de kan finna en vuxen utanför familjen, en fritidsledare, att knyta an till. Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva vad fritidsledare upplever som viktigt i sitt arbete med ungdomar. Metoden som användes var en kvalitativ metod som baserades på intervjuer med fritidsledarna. I resultatet framgick det att det som upplevdes som viktigt i arbetet med ungdomar är att möta och bekräfta dem i deras vardag. Det fanns också upplevelser om att fritidsgården har ett friare klimat än skolorna och att det inte fanns något hotande betygssystem på fritidsgården, vilket upplevdes som en viktig del i arbetet.

The reason why this study has been made is the fact that a substantial part of students in the upper secondary school changes their field of study, during or after their first year. The aim of this study is to find out the reasons behind such changes as well as finding out the affecting factors. The study has been made in two steps, first quantitatively by a poll study and the second step is qualitative by interviews. This research has been made in both private schools and municipal schools, with the ambition to search for differences between these two separate school forms. The study shows that no general differences can be found in a comparison between them.

In the past years the traditional donors of development assistance have been increasingly aware of changes in the donor landscape. This as emerging economies like China and India has undergone a transition from recieving aid to becoming emerging donors. By identifying and comparing ideas, beliefs and interests pursued using foreign aid between so called emerging and traditional donors, the greater purpose of this thesis is to take a closer look at the alleged changes in the world order. The starting point is Goldstein & Keohanes framework of the impact of ideas and interests in foreign policy and the one of K.J Holsti about institutions as markers metrics of change. The results show that there is no vast difference in interests but a detectable difference in the ideas behind foreign aid.

The Swedish Warmblood riding horse is a popular horse for sport in Sweden, and the breeding goal is to produce competitive horses in both show jumping and dressage. The breed has its origin in native Swedish cavalry horses but has been highly influenced by foreign stallions throughout the years. Breeding values are estimated based on the results from young horse field test, which are held for 3- or 4-year old horses, and competition data. The young horse field tests are highly correlated with later performances in competition. The total proportion of horses with own observations to include in the genetic evaluation are slightly under 50 %, and in most cases their pedigrees are known.

Syftet med följande arbete är att undersöka hur lärare och skolledning förstår och implementerar den värdegrund som förs fram i de styrdokument som skolan är ålagd att följa. Det är också en målsättning att undersöka hur värdegrunden motiveras och vad den säger ur ett analytiskt filosofiskt perspektiv. Arbetet grundas på fyra intervjuer som gjorts med lärare och skolledning på en gymnasieskola i Malmö 2005. Med hjälp av att analysera intervjuerna och stämma av det hermeneutiska tolkningsresultatet med den filosofisk-rationella analysen av värdegrundens olika påståenden och värderingar skapas en bild av lärarnas och skolledningens förståelse av värdegrunden. I arbetet analyseras också den motiveringsgrund som man från politiskt håll lägger fram och vilka konsekvenser detta får för de värden och rättigheter som återfinns i värdegrunden.

In Sweden there is an integration policy and a policy for national minorities. The integration policy aims to integrate newly arrived immigrants (nyanlända invandrare), whereas the minority policy aims to maintain and strengthen the rights of the national minorities. The national minorities are though, at times, included into the integration policy, even though they hold a minority status in Sweden. This paper aims to, through discourse analysis, investigate the research question: ?how is the content of integration referred to, when it is related to immigrants, contra when it is related to national minorities?.

Following study is about the anorexic behavior and the pro-ana movement, which is a web-based subculture where the followers of this, stands for anorexia as an identity position and lifestyle, rather than a disease. The purpose of this study was that, from a sociological perspective give possible interpretations of the anorexic behavior, and interpret why some anorexics choose to be a part of and identify oneself with the pro-ana movement. The reason has been to conduce more knowledge and understanding of the topics, but also to contribute with a deeper perspective and sociological approach to the former research that is already available.To conduct the study, qualitative research has been used, and the chosen methodology was document analysis/text analysis. The collected empirical data consisted material from two pro-ana forums, four blogs and six twitter accounts, where all the users of those claimed to be supporters of the pro-ana. There are more and more elderly people and different diseases will affect them. How will the public care be able to face this need of care for the elderly? There are a lot that shows that there will be an increasing demand on the achievements of the relatives. How can this development be answered to? Shall the achievements be concentrated on giving support to the relatives, or will there be a concentration on nursing staff? The purpose of the study was to enlighten who elderly people will be nursed by if a disease affects them.

Sverige och Finland är två länder som ofta jämförs. Så även inom utbildning då media framställer finska barn som framgångsrika. Förutom hög status inom lärarprofessionen i Finland bekräftas framstegen i PISAs undersökningar där finska skolungdomar presterar höga resultat. För de små barnen går största delen av dagen ut på att leka och undersöka deras närmiljö. Genom leken skaffar sig barnet värdefulla färdigheter som gagnar barnet i det livslånga lärandet.

The study examines the massacre of the garrison of the castle of Kalmar in 1525 and its causes. The goal of the investigation has been on the one hand to elucidate the most probable sequence of events, and on the other to identify as many different plausible explanations to the massacre as possible. For this end, four contemporary sources have been examined and compared in their details. To enable a broad basis for interpretation, the author has consulted various works on the themes of warfare, soldiers and violence in the late middle ages and the sixteenth century. Apart from political aspects, the study highlights social and cultural conditions as important factors in explaining how the massacre could be carried out without provoking any single part of society.

Vargaslätten is a 15 hectare large privet garden in Halland in the south-west of Sweden.In the beginning of the 1990s Gunnar O.Westerberg, the owner of Vargaslätten,commissioned a work from the young landscapearchitect, Rolf Efvergren, to writeVargaslätten ? tillägnad naturen. It was a discribing work of the current status of the gardenand the summer-house of Vargaslätten. Vargaslätten ? tillägnad naturen was acomprehensive work with a detalied inventory of all the plants, the buildings, the descriptionof the surroundings and the history.

The purpose of this study is to examine sex/gender relations amongst staff in public libraries who have taken part in projects related to information technology. This is done through e-mail surveys and telephone interviews with staff who have participated in the development of the two library websites Mina bibliotek and Biblioteket.se regarding their experiences. The theoretical basis for the analysis is two gender theoretical perspectives with reference to technology. The first perspective is represented by Yvonne Hirdman?s theory concerning the gender system, in which women and men are kept apart and in which there is always a hierarchy where men are higher up, and Hanna Westberg-Wohlgemuth?s theory concerning sex marking of job-tasks.

Under året 2006 exporterades krigsmateriel från Sverige för närmare 10,4 miljarder kronor. Mottagarländer av krigsmateriel från Sverige under det året var bland annat Sydafrika, Pakistan och USA.Detta kan ses på olika sätt. Vissa ser på detta som ett sätt att bland annat höja Sveriges teknologiska status. Detta, menar dem, bidrar således till att främja en framtida säkerhet för Sverige, vilket är en av huvudriktlinjerna för svensk krigsmaterielexport. Andra aktörer, å andra sidan, ifrågasätter det moraliska i att samarbeta med länder vilka befinner sig i en eller flera väpnade konflikter, vilket strider mot en annan av dessa riktlinjer för denna exportform.

Denna studie handlar om svenska lärare som på ett eller annat sätt tagit sig utomlands och som arbetar på svenska skolor utomlands. Valet av ämne utgår ifrån dels ett intresse för ämnet och nyfikenhet till motiven att flytta, dels ett egenintresse för arbete på svenska skolor utomlands där det är intressant att veta hur lärare gick tillväga. För att få svar på dessa forskningsfrågor användes det fenomenografiska perspektivet med utgångspunkt i kvalitativa intervjuer. Fyra gymnasielärare kom att intervjuas och materialet har sedan transkriberades och analyserats utifrån det fenomenografiska perspektivet. Med utgångspunkt i den resulterande empirin skapades således kategorier utifrån de uppfattade fenomen och motiv som låg bakom flytten från Sverige.

Fewer and fewer people from the age of 60 and upward are still in the working life according to a working survey from Central Bureau of Statistics. Only one of twenty can consider retiring after an age of 65. According to another survey that National Insurance Administration put through year 2000, just about 40 % of the working population desires to finish working before an age of 65. This trend towards lower seceding age seems to continue. There are number of factors that seem for lower retirement age and others for a higher retirement age that we prove in our study.
