Background: In our case study we have been studying a company that during the last seven years have tried to implement the control system Balanced Scorecard. They have during this period made three attempts. According to Kaplan and Norton, the creators of Balanced Scorecard, it should take about 16 weeks to implement a Balanced Scorecard. Purpose: Our purpose is to investigate which factors that influence the possibility to implement Balanced Scorecard. Method: We have conducted a case study where we have studied implementation at three levels in a company.

Anställdas produktivitet har överraskande visat sig öka under tidigare nedläggningar. Detta uppmärksammade fenomen benämns nedläggningseffekten och förklaras bland annat av anställdas ökade autonomi och utrymme för innovativa förmågor under nedläggningsperioden. Relationer mellan ledare och underanställda är enligt LMX-teorin av olika kvalitét vilket kan förklara anställdas engagemang, ett engagemang som även kan förklaras av anställdas individuella differenser. Syftet med studien är att undersöka ledarskapets och personlighetsvariabeln work locus of control betydelse för anställdas målengagemang under en nedläggningsperiod. En enkätundersökning för 275 medarbetare utfördes 2006 på ett tillverkningsföretag.

?Statistical process control? har för syfte att genom av statistiska metoder, mäta och analysera variation för att upptäcka särskilda orsaker till variation i processen och sedan genom eliminering av de orsakerna, förbättra processens kapabilitet.Inom SPC finns några begrepp som kräver lite förståelse, till exempel olika typer av variation, skapandet av styrdiagram och tolkning av detsamma för att hitta särskilda variationer. Till författarens kännedom finns idag inget spel som på ett enkelt och konkret sätt underlättar förståelse av dessa teorier.Inom område ?Lean Produktion? finns ett spel (?Lean-spelet?) som har för syfte att förklara begreppet slöseri, olika typer av slöseri i produktionsprocessen och hur man kan förbättra produktionen genom eliminering av de olika slöserierna inom produktionsprocessen. Syftet med detta examensarbete är att se på möjligheterna till ett liknande spel för SPC.Utgångspunkten för skapande av sådant spel var design av en monteringsprocess som färdiggör en produkt (i detta fall en traktor).

Because of their comprehensive experience and offering of broad rangeof services they can contribute to integrated extensive solutions for their customers.Indoor Energy Control works with building management through control andregulation. This work is realigned by programmers and project managers. Working inthis area is complex and places a great demand on both technical innovation andprofessional project management.Due to the complexity of the work Indoor Energy Control has a hard time to get thenew employees to be independent in their work as a programmer.

The aim of this study has been to achieve an increased understanding of the meaning of home for people in homelessness. The study is based on texts written by people in homelessness and a qualitative content analysis has been used to process the material. The result has been analysed with an inductive approach, using parts of the analysis method grounded theory. Three aspects of the meaning of home was identified in the texts; control, self-determination and independence. The lack of a home means a major limitation concerning these aspects, according to the texts.

The National Property Board (SFV) has been appointed by the Swedish government to administer all property of cultural value owned by the Swedes collectively. The commission includes maintaining the soul and character of each individual building, to adapt these buildings to present needs and requirements, and furthermore making them available to the public. The return on equity demanded by the government is based on the CAPM used within the real estate industry. The theoretical assumption that organizations are either function-driven or pay-driven will serve as a starting point, after which SFV will be defined as a function-driven organization with a pay-formed management control system. This paper aims to examine how applying a pay-formed management control system will affect a function-driven organization.

The main purpose of this thesis is to examine the process of selecting films at Bibliotekstjänst and at Swedish public libraries. The tools that have been used for analysing and interpreting the results from the interviews and the questionnaire are theory-based models describing the selection process concerning film and Carl Gustav Johannsen?s quality definitions. The result of the investigation shows that Bibliotekstjänst doesn?t really work with any quality definitions in their selection process.

The purpose of this thesis is to assist the Swedish energy company NIBE Energy Systems in their studies of adaptive regulation applicable to electrical water heaters. Due to coming energy classifications of these appliances in the European Union, NIBE Energy Systems needs to use adaptive regulation, called Smart Control, to keep their products in the best possible energy class and remain competitive to the market. By using this Smart Control regulation a 2-3 % improve-ment of efficiency can be credited the system. This is a small number, but heavily needed, since the energy classes are based on the idea that the European Union is provided with electricity from coal condensate power resulting in a 40 % maximum efficiency. Furthermore, doing noth-ing will result in some water heaters not being approved to use on the market from 2015 due to low efficiency.

The main focus with this study was to investigate if there was a difference in level ofeducation and self-rated health and if it could be explained by the amount of control,demands and social support at work. Theories used in this essay are education, health,and the job strain-model (control, demands and social support at work). Organisations tend to focus more and more on product and process development to increase their competitiveness. Several major organisations, among them ABB, have developed models aimed to more effectively control and manage product development processes. ABB is using its standardised model ABB Gate Model for this. The purpose of this thesis is to analyze how the introduction of ABB Gate Model has affected the outcome of decisions and also the decision-making in the product development process. The study is limited to elucidate the version of ABB Gate Model handling product development projects.

The work with this report has been focused on developing a methodology model for control at purchase. The methodology model covers parts classification, dispatching systems, batch shaping and more. The aim with the methodology model is that it will be used as an aid for a cost effective material planning to increase the value for customer.The work covers also a description of the present situation and the purchase process at Company X. Six parts have been applied, two from each class (A, B and C), in the methodology/model. This thesis aims at; describing and creating an understanding of how Friskis&Svettis internationalization process, at the start-up in England, can be seen as entrepreneurial, to describe and analyze how various cultural factors can be identified and the impact they have on the internationalization process. The empirical data were obtained through two interviews and it appears that both the organizational culture and national cultural differences can be identified and that these affected the process.
