Background: As companies are operating in more globally and complex environments, the need for risk control is accelerating. In an ever-changing environment, companies cannot merely focus on traditional risks, which include financial and insurable risks. To maintain competitiveness, companies need to extend their risk management to include all risks, traditional as well as operational and strategic risks. Purpose: The purpose is to describe and position risk management for Telecom operators, in comparison with the risk management literature, with regards to structure, processes, learning process, visions and benefits. In addition, our aim is to link risk management perspectives with the different strategies for knowledge management.

IntroductionSuccessful training is a key for athletes to make progress in their development. Training must not just involve overload, but also must prevent the combination of excessive overload plus inadequate recovery. Athletes can experience short-term performance decrement without severe psychological or lasting other negative symptoms. Too much hard exercise or too little sleep can cause overtraining, a condition in which the subject can prevent to be away from the sport for several weeks or months. Previous studies have detected that it is important to avoid overtraining.

AbstraktDet finns blandade åsikter om att en grad av rörlighet över det normala skulle vara främjande eller hämmande för prestationen och därför var syftet i denna studie att mäta rörlighet och den maximala hoppförmågan hos gymnaster, cheerleaders och individer som utövar parkour för att undersöka om rörligheten har någon betydelse för spänst/ explosivitet. Undersökningsgruppen bestod av 15 friska deltagare varav 8 män och 7 kvinnor i åldrarna 18-32 år. Deltagarna genomförde tre Countermovement jump hopp (CMJ) och static jump där markering gjordes på en vägg för att mäta hopphöjd. Enbens längdhopp mättes också. Aktiv rörlighet mättes i fotled vid både dorsalflexion, plantarflexion och sit and reach (bakre rörelsekedjan).

The performance of terrestrial laser scanners have improved and these could possibly be used within forestry in the future. The objective of this study was to validate how a terrestrial laser scanner could be used to measure stem diameter, and to test how the errors depend on distance from the scanner and tree species. Two plots (one pine and one spruce) were used for this study.

The thesis has two aims to first describe the phenomena by explaining how interim management works and what the charachteristics of an interim manger are. During the last decade executive coaching has become an increasingly popular method of management development. Few studies have been conducted within this area, especially in Sweden, and little has been said about the construction of management in executive coaching. The purpose of this master?s thesis is to study executive coaching from a social constructionist perspective, focusing on the construction of management. The two research questions are: How is management constructed in executive coaching? How can we understand the construction of management in executive coaching? Additionally, we identify gender as a social construction of importance and thus include a gender perspective in our analysis.

The aim of this thesis is to analyze and explain the similarities and differences in management control between a private and a public primary care company. A comparative case study was developed based on one public and one private primary care company in Stockholm County Council. The framework of Otley (1999) was used to define and limit the area of management control systems, according to his five factors. For the analysis of the empirical results Hood's (1995) seven doctrines of New Public Management was applied, and customized to fit the purpose of the study. The results indicate that the differences between the two organizations are very limited.
