Detta examensarbete handlar om vilka uppfattningar som finns om filosofiämnets syfte på gymnasiet. Det som berörs i uppfattningarna är huruvida de bygger på ämnets färdigheter eller kunskaper. Läroplaner (kursplaner) och läroböcker har analyserats och en grupp gymnasieelever har intervjuats. De läroplaner för filosofi som är analyserade är från år 1933, 1966, 1977, 1994 samt 2000. Läroböckerna som analyserats är Lars-Göran Alms Gula idéer sover lugnt, Martin Levanders Filosofi.

Abstract The topic of this essay is to show why I regard the non fiction novel as a problematic genre and to compare two popular and famous swedish non fiction novels; Legionärerna (1968) by Per Olov Enquist and Gömda (1995) by Maria Eriksson and Liza Marklund.I start with giving a short introduction to modern genre theory and to non fiction novels as a genre. I also discuss different definitions of non fiction novels by, for example, Rolf Yrlid and Lars-Olof Franzén. Then I discuss Enquist?s Legionärerna and the critics? reception of it. I am also doing the same with Eriksson?s and Marklund?s Gömda before I compare these two novels with each other. My conclusion is that Legionärerna and Gömda have a lot in common although there are some differences.

This graduate thesis is engaged with perceived safety and "safe making" design in public places. Despite the fact that we have never been as safe, questions of safety get more attention than ever in today?s society. Public demands for safer and more secure environments and low levels of experienced feelings of safety indicate problems in society that can shrink people's usage of public places as well as their quality of life. Through methodical exaggeration of danger and legislation of laws, the state creates a situation that in different respect work to overprotect the citizens, who are not unlikely to experience feelings of being unsafe at the same time that the actual safety is to big. An expansion of protection against fear can unlike what was first intended decrease the experience of safety.

Uppsala County has ambitious environmental aims for the planned residential area inÖstra Sala backe. In this thesis different energy sources have been evaluated todetermine which system that would be most favorable given currently availableinformation about the project. Planned energy usage has been divided into tap waterheating, space heating and power. Three base case scenarios were made with districtheating, small scale bio fuel and heat pump. Solar power and solar heating were thensimulated and the production from the two could individually be deducted from theenergy need in the base cases, constituting 9 different scenarios.

The purpose of this thesis is to explain why states obtain nuclear weapons and the role variousactors and interests play in the making of states´ nuclear policies. The main questions are asfollows: (1) What big theories exist concerning states obtaining nuclear weapon and nucleararmament in International Relations and what relevance do they have of the post cold-war period?,(2) What is the meaning of the perspective of the Military-Industrial Complex (MIC)?, and (3)Arethere empirical studies which supports the existence of a MIC in the United States?The focus lies on actors and driving forces that are internal to states and it is also important toinvestigate if the theories have relevance for the post 9/11-era. The study uses the method ofqualitative literature-study with some quantitative segments. It is claimed that states might beinterested in justifying their behaviour in a morally appealing way and that real reasons may behidden.

Hur gör jag när jag ska interpretera barockmusik? För att undersöka hur jag kan komma fram till en stilistiskt korrekt men personlig tolkning har jag valt att arbeta med en för mig okänd kantat av Georg Friedrich Händel, ?Nice, che fa? che pensa?? (HWV 138). För att kunna göra en stilistisk interpretation har jag läst litteratur om barockinterpretation. Jag har även tagit hjälp av tre olika lärare: sångpedagogen och barocksångerskan Emma Rönnlund, cembalisten Lars Sjöstedt och regissören Kjell-Peder Johanson. Syftet med arbetet är att lära mig hur jag ska tolka en barockkantat och överföra den till en klingande interpretation med personlig undertext.

Föreliggande uppsats syftar till att analysera hur den amerikanska globalstrategin harutvecklats under tidsperioden 11 september 2001 till FN resolutionen 1441 mot Irak (8november 2002). Den politiska retoriken har analyserats i förhållande till de teoretiskaströmningarna realism och idealism respektive internationalism och isolationism. Analysenbygger på en modell presenterad av Lars Maddox, bestående av en matris där dessaströmningar ställs mot varandra. För att analysera retoriken mot andra stater har Peter ViggoJakobsens teori om tvångsdiplomati använts. I de fall då användande av tvångsdiplomati harkunnat identifieras har retoriken prövats mot det som Jakobsen benämner som idealpolitik.Analysen visar att den amerikanska globalstrategin har förändrats under den studeradetidsperioden.

This thesis should be regarded as an integrated research synthesis. The purpose has been to analyse how the literary sociologist Lars Furulands model the literary process correlates in relation to todays book market for fiction. The central problem has been: In what different ways can some of the main actors featuring in Furulands model of the literary process use, produce or provide copyright protected works of fiction which are electronically distributed? Three questions have been considered to penetrate this problem: In what different ways can to judge from some projects which have been carried through at common public libraries electronic works of fiction be provided to their presumed readers? What reasons could there be as it appears in a number of texts that four Swedish authors have chosen to disseminate their works of fiction by the aid of the Internet? Which main functions may, according to current research, be supported by electronic media in connection with editing and retail of fiction? During this study a picture of two quite disconnected processes of publication has materialized. These processes seem to proceed parallelly to each other, without any close contact, in a traditional respectively an electronic circuit.

Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka hur Wikileaks agerande porträtteras i svensk dagspress, om skribenterna tar ställning för eller emot Wikileaks samt om porträtteringen har förändrats efter anklagelserna mot dess talesman Julian Assange.Vi analyserar tio ledarartiklar, framtagna genom ett obundet slumpmässigt urval som publicerats i Svenska Dagbladet och Dagens Nyheter under år 2010. Vår teoretiska ram bygger på Lars Nords teori om ledarartiklar, Baldwin van Gorp och Gaye Tuchmans teorier om framing samt Allan Grahams teorier om intertextualitet. Vår metod är en retorisk analys, kompletterat med en komparativ studie i före och efter anklagelserna.Undersökningen visar att Wikileaks porträtteras i svensk dagspress som en organisation vilken måste ta sitt ansvar. Majoriteten av ledarskribenterna tar ingen tydlig ställning för eller emot Wikileaks. Med undantag för två artiklar vars skribenter tydligt uttrycker sina åsikter.

In this study the semi structured interview method was used to explore what kind of knowledge one In State Authority: The Migration Board, and three Non Governmental Organisations: Red Cross, Save the Children and ISS- International Social Service have about the situation for separated children. Another purpose in this study was to explore if people who are close to the children are working for the best of the children and if their cases were treated with legal security. The result shows that the children?s cases are not treated with legal security and some of the children suffer psychologically from separations from the families and other children need new families because they were maltreated. The result also shows that there are signs that separated children are discriminated compared to children with a Swedish background..

This B.Sc. Thesis examines how Swedish Large Cap companies communicate CSR in social media. We describe the current state of CSR communication in four different social media channels, Twitter, Youtube, Facebook, and blogs. This research, supported by interviews with stakeholders and a quantitative survey, analyses the potential risks and benefits from communicating CSR via social media and provides concrete advice on the development of a CSR communication strategy for social media. Although some benefits have been realized, many companies have failed to truly reap the potential benefits from an effective social media strategy for CSR.

Around the 1950s an explosive population growth started in the Third World. Parallel with the population growth a global network grew up advocating population control and limited population growth. Sweden had a unique place in that network through a pioneering role promoting the issue in the UN organization. During the 20th century Sweden was a pioneer country in terms of initiatives for population control.
