The industrial sector accounts for a large share of greenhouse gas emissions. To reduce its negative impact on the environment is crucial in the quest for a sustainable future. In discussions of the industrial sector's impact on the environment guidelines have been highlighted as a tool to assist the industries in their efforts to change the relationship between the consumption of energy and production. This by improving energy efficiency and a shift to the best available technology. During the past 30 years the steel industry has reduced its energy consumption per ton of steel produced by 50 percent.

Att individer i organisationer lär är en förutsättning för att organisationen ska kunna möta samhällets ständiga förändringar och nya krav.  Att medarbetare lär av varandra och att deras förmågor samordnas och tas tillvara är en viktig uppgift för en pedagogisk ledare. Vid få tillfällen står lärandet i fokus lika tydligt som i kompetensutvecklingsarbete. Jag har därför valt att på en gymnasieskola följa en inledande termin i ett långsiktigt kompetensutvecklingsarbete om bedömning för lärande. Under arbetet sker regelbundna erfarenhetsutbyten med mellanliggande uppgifter att testa i undervisningen. Jag har intervjuat sex lärare om deras erfarenheter av och syn på kompetensutvecklingsarbetet för att undersöka mina frågeställningar vilken typ av lärande som sker och vad som främjar respektive hindrar att lärande sker. Jag har utgått från teorier som ser lärande som något som skapas av individen i samspel med hennes omgivning.

As we travel more and more by train it becomes increasingly important that the time we spend traveling, is of great quality. This has been the foundation of this master thesis and has shaped the outcome of it. The traveling experience, that is, the experience of the landscape that flashes by outside the train window, is an important aspect in railway planning and an aspect that should be taken into greater consideration. The purpose of this master thesis has been to examine how to compose or improve the travel experience for an already planned high speed railway and how the travel experience can be combined with other aspects, which have claims on the landscape. This thesis is based on a literature study and a case study of Ostlänken. The work describes Ostlänken, a planned high speed railway in Sweden between Järna and Linköping, with top speeds at 300-320 kilometers per hour.
