This report contains a programming improvement work in a LabVIEW? fire testing furnace control system for SP Fire Technology in Borås. Here materials and products behaviour are tested and evaluated, being exposed to fire. For this task, UGNET is being used for control and surveillance of the testing furnace system. System hardware has been updated gradually through the years, while the software has been neglected.

The water tower in Uppsala city forest was built in the late 1950's in what is now a nature reserve. The unique place was supposed to be visited by people, which is currently not the situation. This bachelor thesis aimed to perform an analysis and make a design proposal for the environment surrounding the water tower. The analysis was performed using the methodology previously described by architect Arne Branzell. The methodology focuses on how a space is perceived by a person moving through it.

This report aims to provide an insight into the particle physics of today, and into the research that goes on within the field. The focus is partly on the recent discovery of the Higgs boson, and partly on how software can be used to simulate processes in particle accelerators. Basic concepts of particle physics and the search for the Higgs boson are discussed, and experimental results, including those from the Large Hadron Collider, are compared with simulations made in MadGraph 5. Furthermore, simple new models of particle physics are created in FeynRules, in order to make simulations based on the models. To support the presentations of these aspects, some of the underlying theory is built from the ground up.

The building industry consumes approximately 40 % of the total energy consumption in Sweden, where the using stage is dominating with 80 %. There is a lot of work in progress to reduce energy use in the building industry, and the demands from authorities regarding energy use increases. As a part of this work Building and planning department of Sweden has established a requirement that has been applied since 2006, and restricts a maximum energy use for buildings.The requirement includes that an energy simulation must be done in advance to demonstrate that it is possible to meet the demands.Reality is however more complex than an energy simulation program, that frequently underestimates the energy use of buildings. The purpose of this thesisis to study and analyse deviations between estimated and actual energy use in modern apartment buildings. The study includes four apartment buildings in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Jönköping that were built in 2007-2009.

This work has been carried out at a company in the region which has about 30000 employeeswith about 400 sites all over the world. The company outsources their network including theLAN refresh and the WAN migration. They needed help with an upgrade of their LAN at theirScandinavian headquarters and to find a new solution for their WAN. The reason why the upgradeof the LAN was needed was that the equipment was too old and did not pass the securityrequirements. They also required a solution to segment their LAN, which consisted of a singlelarge VLAN with 1,300 employees.

En brotyp som är vanlig bland brokonstruktioner är plattrambron. Denna brotyp byggs både med slak- och spännarmering. Det är dock vanligare att bygga med slakarmering än spännarmering, vilket övervägs särskilt då spännvidderna är ungefär 25- 30 meter eller mer. Inledningsvis har en noggrann litteraturstudie genomförts tillsammans med en intervju av en kunnig brokonstruktör för att säkerställa en interaktion mellan teori och aktuell praxis. Detta arbete har haft ett huvudmål, vilket är att ur ett struktur- och kostnadsperspektiv jämföra och utvärdera hur behovet av slakarmering varierar i en plattrambros farbana då spännvidder varieras och betongtvärsnitt ändras.

The purpose of this study is to achieve an understanding of how a CE- marking process is conducted and to identify the relevant factors that must be considered in such a process. We have conducted our study at Lo?vhults Svets & Smide AB (Lo?vhults) in Skruv, Sma?land Sweden, which are manufacturing brackets for small covering constructions.To understand how a CE-marking process is conducted several documents and provisions have been reviewed to achieve a basic understanding and insight of the subject. It thus led to that guideline ETAG 015 were studied and the factors to be considered in the CE-marking of brackets were identified. Together with Jan-A?ke Johansson at Lo?vhults we agreed on four different brackets to investigate for a potential CE-marking.

The idea for the project emerged when Nilorn wanted to get better control over their supplychain and improve operational efficiency. The company also want to reduce their expenses inthe continuous process of improving profitability. By choosing the right option oftransportation and mode of transport there are large potential savings for the company. Thisenables Nilorn to reduce the transportation costs and strengthen the environmentalresponsibilities by reducing their environmental impact.The flow of goods within Nilorn has over the past years increased significantly and most ofthe gods today is transported by air. The aim of this thesis is to analyse the supply chain of thecompany and evaluate the potential economic savings in this area.

Idag byggs det i städer allt oftare med hållbarhet i åtanke. Allteftersom forskare hittar nya sätt att mäta konsekvensen av vår slösaktiga livsstil blir risken med klimatförändringar ett faktum. Därför har Sveriges regering nyligen investerat stora summor pengar för att bedriva det största hållbarhetsprojektet i landets historia, Norra Djurgårdsstadsprojektet. I projektet har man satt som mål att sänka emissioner och energianvändning genom att bygga system för källsortering, energisparande, utrymmen anpassade för cykelpendlare och lätt tillgänglig kollektivtrafik. Men då begreppet hållbarhet är relativt nytt genomgår den en ständig bearbetning och utveckling.

Syftet med studien är att analysera möjligheter och begränsningar med att använda programvaror baserade på öppen källkod för att förvalta en organisations e-post där utkontraktering inte är ett alternativ. Detta baseras på tio krav som identifierats som relevanta i relation till e-postlösningar. Inom studiens omfattning representeras OSS(Open Source Software)-lösningarna av programvarorna Zimbra Collaboration Suite, Citadel och Kolab Server. För att undersöka styrkor och svagheter hos dessa har hybridmetoden action case tillämpats. Genom ett interpretativt och iterativt närmande har representanterna ställts inför de identifierade kraven och deras förmåga att leva upp till kraven har analyserats.

I vår produktion har vi tagit fram ett system för order- och lagerhantering, med vikt på realtidsuppdateringar, åt en extern mottagare där infrastrukturen inte hängt med i företagets utveckling. Vi valde detta projekt i syfte att bredda våra kunskaper inom både programmering och projekthantering. Denna slutreflektion tar upp den förundersökning vi gjorde för att kunna besluta om vilka verktyg vi använde i utvecklingen, den tar även upp vårt sätt att hantera och planera projektet. Under projektet har vi arbetat med en egenutformad arbetsprocess vilken även beskrivs här. --- Our production has been to design a system for ordering and supply management with emphasis on realtime updates to an external recipient, where the infrastructure has not kept pace with the development of the company.

Intelligibility is a central concept in speech-language pathology regarding assessment and treatment of speech. At present, there is no reliable or valid Swedish test for measuring intelligibility. The main purpose of the current study was to conduct a clinical trial of the computer-based intelligibility test ?Swedish test of intelligibility for children? and to investigate the test?s reliability. Another purpose was to investigate the reliability of the rating form ?Intelligibility in context scale?.

There are those who currently use social networks as a marketing tool that creates the standards that exist. There is no given standard, there are no absolute facts that exist through all time. A constant change is happening and therefore forcing everyone involved to adapt and make the changes needed to be current. What is relevant to consider in this study are the different roles a freelancer creates on the various channels of social media. Based on the results of the interviews that have been conducted the informants create different identities at different forums they reside on.

Alstom Power i Växjö arbetar med utveckling och försäljning av bland annat elektrofilter tillrökgasreningssystem vid olika typer av miljövårdsanläggningar för t.ex. kraftverksindustrin.Dessa elektrofilter kontrolleras och regleras med hjälp av styrutrustning uppbyggd av ettantal styrenheter som idag kommunicerar via en egentillverkad standard kallad ?Fläktbuss?. Föratt övervaka detta system vill man använda handburna PDA och kommunicera med Fläktbussenvia USB. För att få kommunikationen mellan USB och Fläktbuss att fungera krävs någon form avaktiv konvertering.Detta examensarbete kommer att ta upp så väl problematik och lösningar kring detproblem som finns i samband med denna konvertering..

Bakgrund: komplementära smärtlindringsmetoder har inom hälso- och sjukvården visat sig vara effektiva vid smärttillstånd hos barn. Det är därför viktigt att som sjuksköterska ha kunskap om dessa metoder.Syfte: att beskriva vietnamesiska sjuksköterskors kunskap om samt användning av komplementära behandlingsmetoder för barn med smärta.Metodbeskrivning: data samlades in med hjälp av enkäter under hösten 2012 på ett barn- och kvinnosjukhus i Da Nang, Vietnam. I denna studie analyserades sjuksköterskors kunskap om komplementär smärtbehandling hos barn med hjälp av IBM SPSS Statistics för Windows software. Sambandet mellan kunskap och användning undersöktes.Huvudresultat och slutsats: kunskapen om komplementära metoders betydelse visade sig vara hög, medelvärde 4,45. Användningen av komplementära smärtlindringsmetoder visade sig variera.
