In this thesis an energy analysis of ethanol production at the ethanol plant of Lantmännen Agroetanol in Norrköping has been performed. The ethanol plant has been studied in combination with Händelöverket, the combined heat and power plant which provides the ethanol process with steam. The purpose of this study was to determine the energy consumption for the whole production chain from grain to ethanol. The analysis has included the energy consumption for cultivation of grain, production of chemicals, the production chain for wood chips, the steam production and the ethanol plant. The grain and wood chips are both considered raw materials there for the energy content in these are not included as energy input in the system.

XML-RPC och SOAP studeras ur detta perspektiv. SOAP befinns vara mer komplext att implementera stöd för än XMLRPC i den begränsade testmiljön, som har 32kB internminne. XML-RPC visar sig ge fördelar över proprietära protokoll främst när det gäller underhållbarhet och återanvändbarhet..

The aim of this study was to examine how clients who have or have previously had a drug- and/or alcohol addiction experienced interchanges with social workers. In this study, eight semi-structured interviews were made with respondents from an out-patient clinic in a small town in Sweden. Questions were asked regarding clients? experience of the social workers' attitudes during the initial meeting as well as all continuing meetings. Other possible variables that affected the interchanges, either positively or negatively, including how the clients wanted to be treated, were also explored.

Vi har undersökt ett verksamhetskritiskt system i en större organisation för att se hur systemet är konstruerat och hur förvaltningsarbetet bedrivs för att undvika avbrott i systemet. Då det är särskilt viktigt att dessa system har hög tillgänglighet har vi försökt lyfta fram faktorer som visat sig vara särskilt viktiga för att uppnå hög tillgänglighet. This thesis examines different methods for the cooling of data centers. Several means of cooling with the refrigeration cycle have been studied, as well as the feasibility of using free cooling in different parts of Sweden. In addition, the possibilities of transferring excess heat to a nearby district heating system were investigated. It was found that in all investigated cases except two, the data center could be cooled solely with free cooling for at least 300 days a year when only the outside air temperature was considered as a constraining factor. The limit was then set to 20 °C.The vast majority of all district heating systems in Sweden get little to none of their heat from other excess heat sources.

Electricity production from renewable energy resources such as wind energy and photovoltaics is variable. Integration of these intermittent resources into the electricity system leads to new challenges in how to manage imbalance between supply and demand on the grid.One way to meet these challenges is to develop so-called smart grid solutions. One idea, called demand response, is to adjust the amount or timing of energy consumption, e.g. by control of household appliances, to provide flexibility that could be used to balance the grid. In aggregate, when applied to many units across the system, large volumes of energy could be made available when needed and this grid flexibility can be used as a product on the electricity regulation market.Despite the potential benefits, the number of demand response bids is currently low.

Detta arbete bygger på att skräddarsy ett CMS-system för administration och hantering av innehåll på diverse artist sidor, som hanteras av ett medieföretag. Systemet använder tekniker som JavaScript, PHP, MySQL som grund för dess uppbyggnad.

Finnhamn is a group of islands that are located in the middle north part of Stockholm?s archipelagos. On the main island Stora Jolpan there is a camp called Sommargården, which consists of eleven different buildings in various sizes. The assignment given by the Archipelago foundation (Skärgårdsstiftelsen) is to analyze if it?s benefited to replace Sommargårdens current heating system that consists of electricity radiators, with a more energy efficient heating system. This research is done with help of the literature review and a visit to Finnhamn in order to map Sommargården?s current state and its energy usage.

Examensarbete har utförts för AIAB DC Systems i Karlstad.Vår uppgift gick ut på att göra ett övervakningssystem för DC-system. Enheten skall användas för att övervaka isolerade DC-system avseende spänningsnivåer och isolation samt larma vid fel. Tidigare har man haft ett analogt system ute på marknaden men nu vill man ha ett digitalt processorbaserat system.Vi har använt oss av en 8-bitars RISC-processor. Programmeringen har gjorts i assembler med hjälp av ett utvecklings-kit och sköter logiken för övervakningen. Programmet manövreras med två tryckknappar och en display.Programmet vi har tagit fram behöver kompletteras med vissa funktioner.

The effects from a planned wind farm on the grid utility Gävle Energis electrical grid have been studied. The wind farm is planned to be built in the forest 15 km north of Gävle and will have 23 turbines with rated power from 2 to 2.5 MW, resulting in a total installed power between 46 MW and 57.5 MW. The grid connection will be made at 70 kV. The aim of the analysis was to determine what effects the wind farm would have on the power grid in the form of electrical disturbances (flicker etc.), need for new investment and raised operational cost. To allow the connection of the wind farm technical solutions (new lines, power stations and grid reinforcements) have been constructed.

This report describes the development of a system for controlling documents. The report starts with a problem description which the company wants an intranet-based solution for. The report then continues to describe the development phase for the different parts of the system which results in a complete system. The company that wanted this system is called Orbit One and is located in Ronneby, Sweden. They have had a problem with old documents circulating in different versions and in different binders. Now thanks to their new system they can access their documents easy and on demand through their intranet..
