The first information recruiters have access to, when recruiting a new co-worker is the applicant´s CV. It may even happen that the applicants are sending a photo with the CV, which can lead to the possibility that the appearance of the applicant will affect the assessment. Previous research shows that individuals who are regarded as beautiful get a better assessment than those who are considered to be ugly or mediocre looking, but if this can be prevented through awareness, the problem can easily be counteracted. The purpose of this thesis is to, through an experimental study, investigate whether recruiters can avoid being affected by the applicant?s appearance in the assessment of their CV if they receive information about the stereotypical thinking that is tied to a person's appearance.

Looking at the debate on nuclear power in Sweden, the issue of risk is central to understanding the difficulties in resolving differences between proponents and opponents. I sought to answer the research question: "how is the concept of risk constructed in the nuclear power debate in Sweden?" Four main aspects of risk construction were defined and investigated to identify differences between sides in the debate. Through a qualitative study of the debate and its actors I found clear differences in respect to all four aspects of risk construction. First, the perception of nuclear power as a "normal risk" is common among nuclear opponents in contrast to a largely probabilistic view among proponents.

Det krävs mycket av en sjuksköterska för att kunna skapa tillit och förtroende prehospitalt med en skadad person. Syftet har varit att undersöka vilka faktorer/åtgärder/förhållningssätt som krävs av en sjuksköterska i första mötet med en skadad person för att skapa en förtroendefull och kontakt med känsla av tillit. Undersökningen har genomförts som en litteraturstudie och resultatet visar på att om en förtroendefull kontakt ska skapas mellan sjuksköterskan och en skadad person prehospitalt krävs det framför allt att en kommunikation dem emellan kommer till stånd. Andra slutsatser i resultatet är att en sjuksköterska måste utföra vissa kommunikationsstrategier för att en kontakt ska uppstå. De kommunikationsstrategier som är väsentliga för att skapa en förtroendefull kontakt är bland andra sjuksköterskans förhållningssätt samt att sjuksköterskan har självinsikt och kunskap om effekter av ett sitt agerande.

När en person lever med ischemisk hjärtsjukdom, så påverkar det förutom den som har sjukdomen, också starkt dennes eller dennas partner. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva partners upplevelser av att leva med en person som har ischemisk hjärtsjukdom. Tio vetenskapliga artiklar analyserades med hjälp av kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Analysen resulterade i fem kategorier: Att ha störd nattsömn och vara känslomässigt påfrestad till bristningsgränsen: Att vara överbeskyddande och kontrollerande: Att sakna bra samarbete med sjukvårdspersonal och önska stöd i partnerrelationen: Att ha svårighet med livsstilsanpassning och längta efter det tidigare livet: Att med positiv inställning tillsammans genomföra livsstilsförändringar. Resultatet visade att partners inte blev sedda av vårdpersonal och de önskade mer kunskap om sjukdomen och professionellt stöd.

The aim with this paper is to study Karl Popper?s view on realism and relativism. Further aim is to see whether those ideas have been consistent over the years. The paper argues that Popper since his first interest in philosophy has taken a realistic and antirelativistic attitude. Only his arguments for this position have been developed to meet his critics.Common sense speaks for realism but can neither be proven nor refuted.

Internkommunikation är något som finns i alla företag och förefaller vara en viktig del av ett företags ekonomistyrning då ledare med hjälp av internkommunikation mer effektivt kan samordna personal att sträva mot företagets mål. Då det behövs mer forskning kring hur företag med hjälp av internkommunikation kan bli mer effektiva är syftet med studien att skapa en förståelse för hur företag kan använda sin internkommunikation som en del av sin ekonomistyrning. Studien har genomförts som en fallstudie med intervjuer på ett tjänsteföretag som är en del av en större koncern och visar på vad ledare kan behöva ta hänsyn till när de ska utforma kommunikationsstrategier. Vidare har studien med utgångspunkt i Agentteorin och Attention-Based View of the firm tagit fram en förenklad modell för att försöka förklara sambandet mellan dessa teorier, det vill säga hur relationen mellan informationsasymmetri och personalens förmåga att rikta uppmärksamhet mot information ter sig. Det kan exempelvis påverka kvinnans välmående under graviditeten i form av högt blodtryck, graviditetsdiabetes, risk för intrauterin fosterdöd och en långsam framskridande förlossning. Krav ställs på barnmorskan i mötet med den gravida kvinnan med BMI ? 30 kg/m2 då kvinnan önskar att få information om risker kring graviditeten utan att barnmorskan är dömande.

This paper aims to give an account of, and to discuss the view-points and theories of different researchers on the christianization of Sweden, especially the province of Öland, during the early middle ages. Its purpose is to investigate how, and in what sense, their positions can be said to correspond to what we may know of the historical ?facts?. This will be possible by comparing different points of view with a study of the development in a single parish. An overall difficulty however, is the nature of the sources relating to the time in question, they are scarce or even non-existent.Part I of the paper consists of an outline of the field of research and the different theories put forward on the subject.

The purpose of the study was to inquire into pupils? attitude towards the current beauty ideal from a gender- and an ethnicity perspective. The study was based on a quantitative survey among 116 young students about prevailing beauty ideal from two different schools in the Stockholm area. The result showed that the students are partially characterized by the stereotyped images of women and men but that there are tendencies towards another view especially among the girls. It is however clear that appearance still is important.

In September 2014 the ECJ issued its decision in C-7/13 the Skandia case. The case con- cerned service transactions made between a main establishment in a third country and its Swedish branch. The branch was a member of a VAT group in Sweden. The ECJ estab- lished that the membership resulted in that the VAT group was considered as one taxable person which meant that the services was considered provided to the group itself and not the separate member. In recent years there have been major changes in the accounting field and the question of what is fair and accurate reporting is always a relevant issue. Defining the concept of true and fair view and to find an accurate synonym is difficult, still it may be considered that there is an implied meaning of the concept in the business of accounting. In 2004 BFN started the development of K2, a simplified regulatory framework for small companies. The purpose of K2 is to facilitate the accounting and reduce the administrative burden for these companies. In Sweden, 95 percent of all companies belong to the category of small companies and are allowed to use the new and simplified regulations, K2.

All since Thomas Kuhn?s strongly influential The Structure of Scientific Revolutions the Philosophy of Science and ?even more so ?the Social Sciences have contained a greater amount of theories that could be described as more or less relativistic, meaning that the standards of justification or truth thereafter more often were said to be relative to language, culture, or biological makeup. One of the more elaborate ways of developing Thomas Kuhn?s theories in a more relativistic direction ismade by the philosopher Richard Rorty. Rorty, mainly a supporter of Thomas Kuhn, is also a philosopher who has been seen as a main exponent of a so called Postmodern philosophy.My intention in this thesis is to evaluate whether Kuhn's and Rorty's theories of science and knowledge could be regarded as relativism, in respects of their view of incommensurability, rational argumentation, and of their position vis-á-vis the more conventional picture of scientific knowledge and truth.
