Den lÀrande gruppen : Om reflektion i förskolan
Scheduled time for reflective work is common at many Swedish preschools. Reflection is a complex concept that is being used with many different purposes in preschools. The reflective work in Swedish preschools today has its roots in the theories from Vygotskij about how children learn by watching and cooperating with others. Also, many Swedish preschools have taken inspiration from the preschools in Reggio Emilia in Italy, who see the reflective work as something necessary in their work around children?s learning processes.

The society?s view of pupils with needs of special support in nine-year school has changed over time in Sweden. The teachers? views of the pupils have had an influence of how the special education process is designed. The aim with my paper is to make a comparative study of how special education teachers in rural schools and schools in Stockholm have designed their work with pupils with needs of special support.
IUP i skolan : Vad tycker lÀrare och elever om IUP och hur impementeras IUP i skolan?
Den hÀr rapporten handlar om Individuella utvecklingsplaner (IUP). FrÄn 1/1-06 gÀller en förordning om att alla barn i grundskolan, sÀrskolan, sameskolan och specialskolan ska ha IUP. Syftet med rapporten Àr att undersöka vilken information lÀrare och elever fÄtt om IUP, men ocksÄ ta reda pÄ deras instÀllning till och uppfattning om IUP.För att fÄ reda pÄ detta har jag intervjuat fem lÀrare och fem elever. LÀrarna har mellan 3-20 Ärs erfarenhet av skolarbete. Eleverna gÄr i skolÄr 1-6.
Vem tillhör mÄngkulturen? Ideologi, förkroppsligande och grÀnsdragningar i svenskÀmnenas lÀroplaner
In 2011, the new upper secondary school curriculum Lgy 11 set out to distinguish the
characteristics of the two subjects Swedish and Swedish as a second language. This thesis analyzes the consequences, or rather the underlying premises for such a characterization with the contradictory ideologies of the multicultural society as a point of departure. Using theories of cultural and linguistic hegemony, the thesis applies an ideological critique to the comparative text analysis of the two curriculums. The aim is to reveal the underlying assumptions of the two student bases as representatives of the majority society and the minorities. The results show that the characterizations of the two subjects are dominantly made along the line of the multicultural experience versus linguistic and cultural heritage.
Var Àr min frukost? : En studie av hur elevers övergÄng till gymnasiet och idrottsinriktad studiegÄng pÄverkar elevers frukostvanor
According to the national curriculum guidelines for elementary school, preschool and after-school 2011, (i.e. Lgr11), the Swedish school is based on a democratic foundation. Schools should prepare students to develop an understanding and acceptance of cultural diversity not only in the society as a whole but also how this should be reflected in the morals and ethics between us. The purpose of this study was to describe how teachers in multicultural schools perceptions and experiences on teaching pupils with diverse immigrant origin, and how they apply these cultural expression in practice.In particular, I focus on four teachers in multicultural schools and how they reason about applying cultural expressions that are transmitted at these schools and by them. Explicitly, I review how from policy documents and their own personal pedagogic are reflected in the actual teaching.
Att lÀsa och inte förstÄ Àr som att plöja och inte sÄ. : En studie kring forskningsbaserat arbete i lÀsförstÄelse.
The purpose of this essay is to present research-based literature and in that find basic practics that benefit the process of reading comprehension in the further reading. To get a broader perspective and a practical school related, we also held a small empirical study in the form of interviews with six active teachers. We discussed among other things, what reading means, the use of textbooks, how the reading process is conducted and so on. The results were correlated against the reported literature and the curriculum. It revealed a gap between theory and practice.
Jesu uppstÄndelse: centralt tema eller detalj? En jÀmförelse av framstÀllningen av Jesu uppstÄndelse i 12 lÀromedel för gymnasiet
The following study pertains to investigate the Christian belief in the resurrection of Jesus as it is portrayal in text books aimed at the course Religion 1 for Swedish upper secondary school. The study was carried out by looking at 12 selected books meant to function as teaching aids suitable for the course. The methodology covers both qualitative and quantitative aspects. The study shows that the topic of the resurrection is dealt with in a ratherneutral fashion. A survey of the evidence does not give credence to the notion that the textlength assigned to the resurrection, in any way gives greater importance to the resurrectionbeing of superior value as an Christian article of faith.The results are further discussed, and suggestions are given for how theresurrection of Jesus can function as a didactic tool for the purpose of teaching Christianityfor Swedish speaking upper secondary school pupils, in agreement and harmony with theSwedish syllabus.
Datorer i förskolan - barns nya kultur : barnvakt eller ett pedagogiskt hjÀlpmedel
In this essay I have chosen to explore how computers are used in preschools. The study was done as a survey. How does preschool seize the childrenÂŽs culture? In todayÂŽs society ICT and computers are a big part of childrenÂŽs everyday life and reflects on their upbringing.Since I am using computers as a pedagogical tool in teaching the children at my preschool, I find this topic interesting to explore.Are the teacherÂŽs using computers for an educational purpose with the children at preschools or are they using it in other ways?Do the teachers think they have the required knowledge to computers usage in teaching the children in a pedagogical way?What is the teacherÂŽs attitude towards computers in preschool?The essay starts with a introductorial background section where I talk about my own experiences of using computers with the children in my preschool, and then referring to the society then and now, school law, curriculum, teachers' computer skills, media situation amongst children and young people, computer use in preschools/schools and health effects. I have composed a survey based on the answers of 50 teachers in 30 different preschools and in nine different municipalities.The result of the survey is reported and concludes with a part of discussion, where the results are put up against the introductorial background section.
Didaktiska implikationer i lÀrares samhÀllsuppdrag : Uppfattningar om demokrati och biologiskt Àmnesstoff hos blivande lÀrare
In today?s school in Sweden the assignment of community encompasses mediated values and education of democracy as well of single subject matters. What does it mean then, that teachers have a certain kind of idea of democracy, and what implications may biology have for the assignment of community? In upper secondary school there are quite many courses in biology with a national curriculum, and findings show that students of teaching perceive or think of biology as helping to promote the dual-purpose of teaching. In this study, the author of the paper has interviewed four future teachers of upper secondary school with biology as one of their main subjects.

This essay is about the meeting of the pedagogic mission and the reality of the conditions in preschools. It is about the frustrations that I, as a pedagogue, experience when I cannot fulfill this mission. An example of this is working when understaffed.My purpose is the acknowledgment of two main areas of the curriculum: caring and learning. This essay demonstrates the diversity of the occupation and it ?s constant need of positioning.
Att undervisa om nyreligiositet : En studie om högstadielÀrares urval, metoder och definitionsproblem
Fyra stycken lÀrares beskrivningar om hur de undervisar och definierar nyreligiositet och nya religiösa rörelser har studerats i föreliggande uppsats. Syftet med studien Àr att undersöka vad verksamma religionskunskapslÀrare pÄ högstadiet sÀger att de undervisar om i undervisningen kring nyreligiositet och nyreligiösa rörelser. En kvalitativ metod med semistrukturerade intervjuer har anvÀnts för att fÄ fram data till studien. Teorier om didaktiskt innehÄll och undervisning som meningserbjudande har anvÀnts vid analysen av resultatet. Uppsatsen utgÄr frÄn tre stycken frÄgestÀllningar om hur definierar religionskunskapslÀrare begreppen nyreligiositet och nyreligiösa rörelser, om vad beskriver religionskunskapslÀrare att de undervisar kring nyreligiositet och nyreligiösa rörelser och hur beskriver lÀrare att de arbetar kring nyreligiositet och nyreligiösa rörelser i undervisningen? Resultatet i studien visar att lÀrarna har problem med att definiera begreppet nyreligiositet, vilket kan vara en orsak till att omrÄdet fÄr en marginell plats i religionskunskapsundervisningen.
Kristen tradition eller vÀsterlÀndsk humanism : En diskursanalys av skolans vÀrdegrund
Den kristna traditionen och den vÀsterlÀndska humanismen Àr tvÄ motstridiga moralsystem. Den förra utgÄr frÄn en vÀrldsbild dÄ Gud Àr grunden för moralen medan den senare har mÀnniskan som grund för moralen. Jag försöker ocksÄ se hur konflikten i förlÀngningen pÄverkat en grupp elever i deras utveckling av etiska stÀllningstaganden. Undersökningen Àr baserad pÄ en diskursanalys av styrdokumenten samt fokusgruppsintervjuer med en grupp elever i Ärskurs nio.
Kostundervisning pÄ gymnasiet : En undersökning om hur lÀrare i idrott och hÀlsa 1 undervisar och bedömer momentet kost
Syftet med studien Àr att utifrÄn en kvalitativ metod, med semistrukturerade intervjuer av gymnasielÀrare, undersöka hur kostundervisning bedrivs i kursen idrott och hÀlsa 1. I kursplanens centrala innehÄll kan det utlÀsas att eleverna skall fÄ kunskap om kosthÄllningens betydelse för hÀlsa och prestation. Det Àr dÀrför av intresse att se hur lÀrare transformerar styrdokumenten. Vidare undersöks Àven hur undervisningen bedöms och betygssÀtts. Resultatet analyseras sedan mot lÀroplansteori och Wiliams nyckelstrategi för att tydliggöra informanternas svar.

The aim of this study is to examine physical education teachers? and students? views on the thesis and its part in the physical teacher education program at The Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences.Does the view on the thesis differ between techers/students and the program with its curriculum and other policy documents?What does students/teachers value in a thesis?Does teachers/students have a mutual habitus concerning the thesis in the form of essay writing and how is this expressed?The study is based on a qualitative survey in which the respondents mainly answered open-ended questions with written answers. These answers have been categorized and analyzed with the aims of the study and the previous research in mind. The views on the purpose of the thesis differ, both within the group teachers/students and to a certain degree in relation to policy documents. The value of the thesis differs within the group.
Debatten kring en litterÀr kanon: En diskursanalys av artiklar pÄ dagstidningarnas kultursidor
Literary debates about canon occur regularly. In the summer of 2006 such a debate took place in Sweden. The aim of this Master thesis is to examine the debate to identify the different discourses and what they reveal about ideas concerning the role of literature in society. The empirical material used for the analysis consists of 46 debate articles from three important newspapers. The combined theory and method applied is the discourse analysis described in Ernesto Laclau?s & Chantal Mouffe?s discourse theory.
