Den interna marknadsföringens påverkan på tjänstekvaliteten: en fallstudie av två säsongsbaserade hotell

The purpose of this thesis was to study how internal marketing affects service quality in the tourism industry. It was decided to conduct a case study on two hotels with summer seasonal employees. Pite Havsbad and Strand Hotell Borgholm were chosen as study objects. The case was based on interviews with the hotel manager at Pite Havsbad and the vice president at Strand Hotell Borgholm, who coordinates the internal marketing at the companies. The findings were that seasonal employees do not affect service quality much.

Det moderna svenska köket verkar ha blivit 2000?talets vardagsrum. Matlagningsprogram och inredningsreportage säljer in den livsstil som är så eftersträvansvärd för stora delar av befolkningen. Vid köp av ny bostad är köket ett av de viktigaste rummen. Vad beror denna utveckling på eller rör det sig om en utveckling överhuvudtaget? Denna uppsats syftar till att studera synen på det svenska köket, hushållsarbetet och vilken effekt dessa har haft på utformningen av just det svenska köket.

The profit a company makes is dependant of its employees which means that their competence is important for the company to perform well. The middle manager has a central position in the organization and is expected to take on different roles. This probably puts a lot of demands on the middle managers and their competence. We want to contribute with a comprehension of how learning, competence and needs for competence can look at a middle management level. Furthermore we also want to find out what kind of strategy for competence development the middle managers want the company to use so their competence development can be facilitated.

In organizations today Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is becoming a common means to try to gain legitimacy and credibility for their business. A successful CSR strategy has the potential to generate positive outcomes for a company and reaching out to stakeholders about the corporation?s contribution in the field is an important part of the work. In this study I examine how the employees at Max Hamburgare receive the corporation?s efforts within sustainability, how it is perceived and what this means to the employees.

Real estate managers work in a hard branch with big competition and skeptical customers. For most people, buying a property is the biggest private purchase of their lives. This puts a big pressure on the real estate agent to make the process run smooth. But how does the customer know which real estate manager to choose? We have researched what effect the real estate managers clothing has on the customers? first impression and how clothing affects customers? choice of real estate agents.To answer our questions we´ve done 13 projective interviews with ten customers and three real estate agents, where we showed four pictures with the same person dressed in different styles.

This study is based on the public eldercare assistances administrators and unit managers perspective. The purpose of this study is to describe and understand how the assistance administrator and unit manager approach elderly needs, who can be harder to accommodate as well as alternative providers that also can meet the needs of the elderly. It is important to gain more knowledge about how assistance administrators and unit managers look at these aspects, what their attitude and approach is towards them. This is important to learn more about because the assistance administrators and unit managers have discretion in their work and the power to change and affect the elderlys situation in a significant way. They decide on actions and design implementation to meet the needs of the elderly and enable them a reasonable standard of living.The choice of method used in this study was qualitative through semi-structured interviews, conducted with assistance officers and unit managers.

Ett stort evenemang - En liten stad : Synen på Vätternrundan genom fem representanter

Vätternrundan is an annual sporting event that takes place in the Swedish town Motala since 1966. It is one of the world largest recreational bicycle rides and attracts over 20 000 participants each year. This study focuses on event effects and how an event can be of value within the principles of place marketing. Within this study five representatives were interviewed with semi-structured interviews.The results show that the representatives describe Vätternrundan as a positive event which mostly generates positive effects for the city itself and for the people living and working there. The effects consist of the events ability to create awareness of the place, the possibility to extend the tourism season and several social effects like solidarity and interaction.The result also shows that Vätternrundan is a well-known brand and because of this it can be used as an advantage in place marketing.

Heja Hemmalaget!! : En studie av objektivitet inom lokal sportjournalistik

Within the journalistic profession lays a commonly accepted normative view stating that objectivity is an ideal to seek. The aim of this bachelor is to study Swedish sportswriters on local newspaper and their views of journalistic objectivity, and themselves in comparison to the traditional ideals. We want to study how local sportswriter work against their ideal and if factors like age and education affect their view of themselves and ther ideal.We have done eight semistructured deepinterviews that all build on theories and studies of the traditional ideal of journalists. The interviewed are all sportreporters, at four different newspapers. We have done active selection of participants based on age and education.

CSR som värdeskapande verktyg i jakten på sponsorer : En fallstudie av Hammarby Fotboll

CSR är viktigare än någonsin i dagens ekonomi och konceptet är numera etablerat i de flesta branscher. Huruvida det finns ett samband mellan CSR och intäkter är omdiskuterat. CSR inom underhållningsbranschen har dock inte fått någon större uppmärksamhet i akademiska sammanhang. Syftet med studien är att undersöka om, och hur, CSR kan användas som ett strategiskt verktyg i jakten på sponsorer. Ett positivt samband skulle kunna uppmuntra socialt ansvarstagande i branschen.Uppsatsen består av en kvalitativ fallstudie av Hammarby Fotboll.

The New Gym Bag

Detta examensarbete omfattar 15 hp och utfördes av Jelena Todorovic, student på Malmö Högskola, Produktdesignprogrammet. Syftet med arbetet var att utveckla en sportbag för personer som bor i närheten av ett gym och som efter träningen duschar hemma. Projektets bas var Användarcentrerad design, som innebär att utvecklingen av konceptet sker efter användarens behov, önskemål och preferenser. Användaren inkluderades i projektet i allt från skisser, intervjuer, observationer, utvärderingar och urval av koncept till slutkonceptet. Studenten såg ett behov av en annan väska än den traditionella sportbagen. Projektets förstudie resulterade i att studenten sammanställde en kravlista på målgruppens önskemål och behov. En sportbag där funktionaliteten var viktigast kom att bli projektets fokus.

Megaevenemangets attraktivitet: en inventering av argument för värdskap

Denna studie gör en inventering av de argument som attraherar värdnationer till att ansöka om värdskap för megaevenemang. De megaevenamang som behandlas i uppsatsen är fotbolls-VM i Tyskland 2006 och fotbolls-VM i Sydafrika 2010. ?De ekonomiska framgångar som antas för värdnationerna visar sig oftast vara felaktiga då kostnaderna underskattats och intäkterna överskattats. Att vara värd för så stora megaevenemang kräver stora förpliktelser från både offentliga och privata resurser under en lång tidsperiod. Ett värdskap för fotbolls-VM kan ge värdnationen de resurser de behöver för att skapa ett meningsfullt socialt liv och att förändra faktorer som underbygger detta.

ELITSTYRKELYFTARES VISUALISERINGSUPPLEVELSER OCH AVSIKTLIG TRÄNING

Imagery is an individual and cognitive process (Morris, Spittle, & Watt, 2005). This study has therefore qualitatively examined following objectives: (1) elite powerlifters imagery experiences and (2) if elite powerlifters use imagery deliberately. Five elite powerlifters participated in the study (3 men, 2 women), they were 21-37 years old (M = 27.6; SD = 6.1). The Individual Profile of Imagery Experiences in Sport (IPIES; Weibull, 2008b) was modified and used to meet the objectives for the study. Imagery was used by all elite powerlifters.

This essay is about leadership in libraries within the academic world, i.e. leadership in research libraries. To place our survey in a context we begin the theoretical review with a chapter about organisation theory. We dont think its possible to separate the leader from the organisation so we wanted to describe the organisation and its effect on the leadership. The next theoretical section is about leadership research.
