Tutor: Michele Micheletti. ?Hennes & Mauritz ? a case study of their CSR work and collaborations with NGOs.?The purpose of this essay is to examine if and how the transnational corporation Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) collaborates with NGOs in it?s work with human rights for workers and increased corporate social responsibility. I have looked at H&Ms CSR report from 2006, the Swedish network Clean Clothes Campaigns report about Swedish corporations in the textile industry and if their CSR work during the past ten years have given any results and I have also done two interviews with two NGOs.The examination is thereby a case study where I?m examining H&Ms CSR work and its collaborations with NGOs and the NGO?s opinions about H&Ms CSR work.My delimitation lies in the fact that I only have examined one corporation and what two NGOs thinks about the corporation.

This degree thesis is based on an assignment from BEOMAT in Storfors. BEOMAT is a company that constructs and sellsclay pigeons to both the national and international market.Our main purpose with this paper is to find a solution/system that can replace the expensive and space demandingOlympic trap facility. Our solution will replace fifteen clay pigeon throwers with one automatic thrower whosimulate all throwers together. The system will be provided with an appropriate control system for mass productiontherefore this system needs to be user-friendly so no previous knowledge is required.Totally 405 different throw coordinates will be stored in the programme in nine different subprograms. According tothe Olympic-rules the throwers should coincidence within certain specified conditions, this will be solved with anrandomizer in the programme.

Since Sweden can be considered to be a secular society it is interesting to investigate how different actors experience swimming education in the course syllabus of sports and health education, for practicing Muslim girls in middle and high schools. The investigation is based on qualitative interviews with sports teachers, practicing Muslim girls and the staff of the public swimming center in Växjö. The result shows that swimming education can be somewhat problematic, since the Muslim girls only want to attend lessons that are gender separated. In the public swimming center, there are no pools exclusively intended for women, and there are only a few times available for women every week. However, the teachers stress opportunities instead of obstacles, and the students? experience that their teachers are trying to create possibilities for them to have a gender separated swimming education.

For youths leisure activity the organized sport is vital. Young people become increasingly sedentaryand the healths of young people are the various municipalities responsibility. In Eskilstuna, thehandball is very popular but there are only three grounds that meet the standards of the dimensions ofa handball pitch, 40x20 meters. The same dimensions are used by floorball. Eskilstuna municipalityowns one of these, the other two is privately built and owned and the municipality rents time in thehalls.IF Guif and HK Eskil are two handballclubs in the central part of Eskilstuna.

Syftet med denna C-uppsats är att beskriva den redaktionella bloggens format med hjälp av tre huvudfrågor. Fråga ett rör innehåll och ämne i redaktionellt anknutna bloggar, fråga två hur dagstidningar förhåller sig till bloggformatet som en del av utbudet på den egna webbsidan och fråga tre hur bloggen används av och påverkar den journalistiska yrkesrollen.För att besvara fråga ett och tre har jag utfört en kvantitativ innehållsanalys av totalt 30 blogginlägg från tio redaktionellt anknutna bloggar. För att besvara fråga två har jag gått igenom 60 dagstidningars webbsidor och antecknat deras förhållningssätt till bloggar som en del av utbudet.Min undersökning visar att bloggen är en ny typ av genre med outnyttjad potential inom den traditionella journalistiken. Ämnesvalen i blogginläggen rör nöje, sport, spel och ledare. Ett normaliserande av bloggen går att se med exempel där enskilda bloggförfattare håller kvar vid ett traditionellt refererande i skildrandet samt medieföretagens förhållningssätt till bloggen som en del av utbudet på webbsidan.

Den övergripande frågeställningen för uppsatsen är: Vad innebär det ur ett demokratiperspektiv när en abonnerad morgontidning väljer att ge ut en gratistidning för att nå lågresursgrupperna i samhället??. Bakgrunden till frågan är att Helsingborgs dagblad valt att ge ut gratistidningen Xtra Helsingborg för att nå ut i de områden där tidningen har få läsare. Gemensamt för dessa stadsdelar är att de tillhör de fattigaste i Helsingborg och att en större andel av invånarna har utländsk bakgrund än i övriga Helsingborg.Genom att göra en innehållsanalys av Helsingborgs Dagblad och gratistidningen Xtra har jag undersökt vilka innehållsmässiga skillnader det finns mellan tidningarna. Jag har också intervjuat Helsingborgs Dagblads VD Lars Svensson, Xtras chefredaktör Kersti Forsberg och nyhetschefen på HD City Anders Håkansson för att ta reda på vilka tankar man har om skillnader i målgrupp och konkurrensen mellan tidningarna.Innehållsmässigt har Xtra ett större fokus på Nöje, Sport och Opinionsmaterial än HD och bristen på lokal samhällsinformation i Xtra kan skapa stora kunskapsklyftor mellan dem som läser HD och dem som läser Xtra.

The purpose of this paper is to examine how the two Swedish cross-country skiers, Charlotte Kalla and Marcus Hellner are portrayed in the tabloids Aftonbladet and Expressen. The study is based on theories of sports journalism, media- and gender studies. Within these theories there are beliefs that men and women are portrayed differently in sports journalism. Sports journalism is described as a subject where there is a hierarchy in which the man is often framed as dominant in relationship to the woman.This study was made in an attempt to examine whether this was the case in the Swedish tabloid magazines Aftonbladet and Expressens coverage of the winter Olympics. Articles published about Charlotte Kalla and Marcus Hellner in the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, and the Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014 were analyzed by a quantitative content analysis.

This paper is a Master thesis for the Master?s program in International and European Relations in the Department of Management and Economics at Linköping University. As the title indicates, the aim of this thesis is to make a comparative analysis of the conflict resolution initiatives that were employed in the Sierra Leonean and Liberian conflicts. The research questions are: ? What were the root causes and trajectories of the Sierra Leonean and Liberian conflicts? ? What were the conflict resolution initiatives employed in resolving both conflicts? ? Why did the Lome Peace Accord succeed in the case of Sierra Leone whilst the Abuja Peace Accord failed in bringing peace to Liberia? In order to answer the afore-mentioned questions and fulfil the aim of this paper, a qualitative research method has been chosen.

Denna magisteruppsats i offentlig rätt är ämnad att behandla implementeringen av direktivet om betaltjänster på den inre marknaden i svensk rätt. Betaltjänstdirektivet är väsentlig vid inrättande av den inre marknaden inom EU:s medlemsstater, då alla inre gränser skall avlägsnas för att möjliggöra fri rörlighet för varor, personer, tjänster och kapital; i det sammanhanget blir det viktigt med en modern och konsekvent rättslig ram för betaltjänster på EU-nivå. Uppsatsen syftar till att undersöka implementeringen av de processuella och materiella bestämmelser i betaltjänstdirektivet som knyter an till principen om god förvaltning och därtill medlemsstaternas processuella och institutionella autonomi. Till de frågor som analyseras hör tolkning av begreppet god förvaltning och hur de utvalda principerna kan identifieras i svensk rätt genom implementeringen av direktivet. God förvaltning i denna uppsats förstås i vid mening som ett begrepp motsvarande vad enskilda har rätt att förvänta sig av det berörda förvaltningsorganet vid handläggning av ett enskilt ärende.Uppsatsen har visat att direktivet innehåller ett flertal bestämmelser som knyter an till principen om god förvaltning och som reglerar hur svenska myndigheter skall handlägga ärenden inom direktivets tillämpningsområde.

The findings in this case study are mainly based on material collected during a field trip with a fellow student to Laos in February-March 2005, which was sponsored by Sida through a Minor Field Study scholarship. The original interest was to study a political aid project (Governance and Administrative Reform Project Luang Prabang, GPAR LP) in a country like Laos with very complex preconditions such as one-party polity. In Laos my interest in evaluation of political aid grew mainly because I found out that the two donors in the project, Sida and the UNDP, had reached different conclusions in their respective evaluations of the project.The main interest in this thesis has been to study how donors have evaluated a political aid project. The study shows that Sida and UNDP used, what in the literature usually is referred to as, Conventional evaluation as methodology when they conducted their evaluations of GPAR LP. The study also shows that the main reason for the different points of view that are expressed in the evaluations depend on a lack of dialogue and consensus, regarding for the project crucial concepts, rather than choice of evaluation methodology.

Denna studie behandlar det önskade ledarskapsbeteende och den önskade relationen mellan utövare och coach enligt svenska simmare. Undersökningen omfattar 115 svenska simmare. Syftet med studien är att beskriva och analysera vilket ledarskapsbeteende herr- och damsimmare i Sverige önskar att en coach ska ha och hur de önskar att relationen mellan coach och aktiv ska vara. Studien undersökte även om det fanns ett samband mellan önskemål och kön på utövare. Alltså om kvinnor önskade ett visst typ av ledarskapsbeteende och relation till sin coach och män ett annat typ av ledarskapsbeteende och relation till sin coach.

The focus on this essay is derived from an international and national dialogue for sustainable development. The recommendation from international level has been to find solutions for governments to implement strategies for sustainable development between local and regional level. This initiative is to improve and stimulate the dialogue between the local inhabitants, officials, entrepreneurs and stakeholders in the communities together with the authorities on the regional level. The purpose is to share knowledge and find ways to learn about the natural systems and how to co-operate in the work of preserving the natural resources and developing different processes for a sustainable development. Many scientists? today stress the importance that ecosystem resilience is promoted by biodiversity conservation and that we need to find solutions for local ecosystem management practices.This essay aims to find theoretical approaches and perspectives that can be used in a wider framework to study co-operative processes between the local (agent) and regional (structure) level.

The aim of this study is to examine physical education teachers? and students? views on the thesis and its part in the physical teacher education program at The Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences.Does the view on the thesis differ between techers/students and the program with its curriculum and other policy documents?What does students/teachers value in a thesis?Does teachers/students have a mutual habitus concerning the thesis in the form of essay writing and how is this expressed?The study is based on a qualitative survey in which the respondents mainly answered open-ended questions with written answers. These answers have been categorized and analyzed with the aims of the study and the previous research in mind. The views on the purpose of the thesis differ, both within the group teachers/students and to a certain degree in relation to policy documents. The value of the thesis differs within the group.

Företag kan ha olika struktur och med denna organisationsstruktur kommer en del utmaningar. Matrisorganisationer är en utformning av det mer komplexare slaget och dess tydligaste kännetecken är multipla rapporteringsvägar. På senare tid har det visat sig att matrisorganisationer som arbetar med Project Management Office (PMO) har problem med hur de ska prioritera sina projekt. Detta för att beslutsvägarna är komplexa och det många gånger är svårt att veta vem det är som bestämmer. Syftet med studien var att beskriva och analysera prioriteringsprocessen i ett PMO som existerar i en matrisorganisation. Studien har även velat påvisa vilka faktorer som påverkar denna prioriteringsprocess.
