BackgroundToday a common approach to solve a complicated problem is to assemble a temporary workforce in order to solve the problem by working together within a project. One of the difficulties with working in projects is to maintain the planned budget. Working hours and costs are often exceeded. Many companies presume that any certain project will succeed, a presumption that leads companies not to anticipate risks involved in a project. In companies today there is seldom time for evaluation or moderation of a project, in order to have time for evaluation there is a great need for an adequate planning of the project.IntentThe intention with this study is to create a model for planning, budgeting and evaluation of projects within consultancy companies.MethodWith the help of interviews and discussions within the group Hamnar och Byggkonstruktioner at Sweco has evidence to present a proposal on planning, budgeting and monitoring been developed.ResultsA model has been developed to ease for consultancy companies to plan, budget, monitor and evaluate projects.
Stjälkröksvamp (Tulostoma brumale) : stora eller små individer?
The spatial population structure of the saprotrophic basidiomycete Tulostoma brumale was investigated at a site in south eastern Sweden. Sporocarps were mapped and collected, and somatic incompatibility tests between mycelial cultures cultivated from the sporocarps were used to identify genets. Calculations of the size and numbers of genets and their distribution were performed. The spatial distribution of the tested sporocarps and the identified genets are presented graphically in a grid. The total number of identified genets within the investigated area (1210 m2) was 27 based on 48 tested sporocarps.
Destinationsutveckling och Fysisk planering : En Fallstudie om möjligheterna i Stockholms ytterstad
Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka om fysisk planering kan samverka eller kombineras med destinationsutveckling genom en fallstudie av Stockholms stad för att skapa attraktiva destinationer i stadens ytterstadområden.Undersökningen omfattar en fallstudie av Stockholms fysiska planering och destinationsutveckling. Studien består av tidigare studier om urban turism i en litteraturstudie. Offentliga strategidokument har också analyserats. Intervjuer med fysiska planerare och destinationsplanerare har genomförts. Vidare har resultatet av intervjuerna analyserades tematiskt, en metod som valts för dess användbarhet för att få en djupare förståelse av en företeelse i samhället.Resultaten visar att det finns utmaningar, möjligheter för planerare att samarbeta och skapa ett nytänkande om hur deras planering områden kan samverka.
Strategic forest planning using AHP and TOPSIS in participatory environments : a case study conducted in Vilhelmina, Sweden
When a decision is to be made on what long term strategic forest management plan to use, consideration must often be taken to multiple objectives. Such decisions are very complex and a promising approach to handle them is by Multiple Criteria Decision Analyses (MCDA). The study is based on the problem that the MCDA that have been implemented into forest management planning have only had capacity to compare and evaluate a limited number of management plans; which means that there is a risk the most suitable plan is missed. The aim with this study was to test the applicability of combining the MCDA tools: the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) and the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) for including consideration to multi-objectives into strategic forest management planning. The study was based on the process of creating and selecting a management plan, using Heureka PlanWise, suitable for all the major objectives found in the forest holdings of a municipality in northern Sweden.

NCC has given us a commission to investigate a planned housing area in Haga, Karlstad, situated close to the traffic route Hagaleden and the railway. The housing area consists of one hundred apartments in five different houses. The houses are linked to each other by balconies with glass panels. A long carport is situated between Hagaleden and the housing area to absorb part of the noise from the road. The design of the housing area is creating a silent backyard.
Är kusten klar? - En studie av tillämpningen av riksintressebestämmelserna för kust- och skärgårdsområden
Uppsatsens syfte har varit att studera hur hanteringen av riksintressena enligt
4:e kap. 1- 4 § § miljöbalken fungerar idag i förhållande till systemets
ursprungliga intentioner genom att undersöka om det finns brister i hur
riksintressesystemet fungerar i dag och vad det i så fall kan få för
konsekvenser för markanvändningen. Syftet har även varit att studera hur det
ökade exploateringstrycket i kust- och skärgårdsområden påverkar avvägningen
mellan exploatering och bevarande i tillämpningen av bestämmelserna i 4:e kap.

Transportkvalitetshöjande åtgärder : en fallstudie vid GP-Last
This thesis has been done on a haulage contractor company named GP-Last (AB Gustav Perssons Åkeri) and the purpose with the paper was to analyse their traffic from Malmö to Stockholm and leave suggestions on efforts that GP-Last can use to increase their level of transportation quality. This has been done with two main questions, which problem do they have today and which efforts they need to do to solve their problems? Through a case study with interviews as method to collect data it showed that GP-Last had four main problems. Not enough information about their freights. The transport planning unit in Malmö doesn?t have the exact delivery address when GP-Last begins to bring in the gods. There are no clear routes.

The study aims to reduce energy consumption in apartment buildings where individual metering and charging of heat is applied. The aim is to develop planning and design for individual metering and charging in apartment buildings.The study is based on literature review, interviews and case study that include analysis of existing documents. Interviews were carried out with the property developer and the involved consultants who planned the apartment building Yasuragi. To investigate the differences the condominium association has noted in heat consumption between flats, the debit values of the heat were used to discern which houses that were furthest from the average consumption. On these flats there were temperature measurements and thermal photo shoots made for discriminating behavior and possible construction techniques which could be the explanation for the heat spread.Boverket shows that the consumption of heat can be reduced by 10-20% after insertion of individual metering and charging in an apartment block.

Transportation represents 10-15 % of wood supply costs. It is therefore important to improve efficiency in the transport system to decrease these costs. The aim of this study is to map the timber vehicle routing processes used by a sample of timber hauling contractors and to identify possible links between the vehicle routing process and service and economic variables. The study was carried out at Södra Skog in autumn 2008. 15 timber hauling contractors were sampled and interviewed about their work with timber transports.

We have gone from a city development characterized by spontaneousness, where commerce and people side by side shared the space, into a function-based planning where people and functions are being increasingly separated. Regardless the forms of planning the city design causes implications for those who live there when the physical environment controls were we live, work and meet. In today's society where `sustainability ' has become a watchword the current community planning needs to be questioned so we, in the best possible way, can meet future changes. Searching for new planning strategies is part of this and in this essay the term `mixed-use´ will be investigated and analyzed in terms of its social aspects.

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to investigate students' perception of their grades in relation to the grading criteria in physical education. To investigate this used issues: how values and experience rating criteria? How do students their teachers' planning of lessons? How do students grading assessment in physical education and what they believe is important? The method used was a questionnaire with closed questions. The purpose of this graduate thesis is to illustrate what could be theeffects of urban renewal carried out in a too hasty manner, the pointbeing that there could be features which have (yet) not been identifiedand therefore are lost if the planning of the city is not given theadequate amount of time and resources.Through a case study located at the wharf of Gullberg (Gullbergskaj)the significance of urban fringes and areas without too strict of aplanning are highlighted. Utvidgning av Kalmar centrum - via stadens strategiska stråk
Kalmar är i dagsläget i en kraftig expansionsfas. En satsning med ett stort
internationellt mässcentrum och hundratals bostäder i norra Kalmar innebär att
staden sätts på kartan på ett nytt sätt, inte bara som den historiska staden.
För att centrala Kalmar ska kunna behålla sin särställning som stadens
kommersiella centrum krävs det att även det utvecklas. Det är dock inte helt
okomplicerat. Kvarnholmen har en begränsad yta och stora delar av den består av
värdefull bebyggelse.
