This essay seeks to gain understanding on the thoughts of Konrad Adenauer regarding the future of Europe in the post-WWII era, and European integration in particular. The material used is his memoirs, which gives an insight into the part of his thought that he chose to share with the rest of the world. The essay uses an analytical framework of three theories, popular within the academic discipline of international relations: realism, liberalism and constructivism. The conclusion it draws is that none of the theories can in a satisfying way describe Adenauer?s thoughts, but rather that they all in some way describe certain elements of his thoughts.

Utifrån tidigare forskning om och utvärderingar av musikämnets ställning i lärarutbildningen är syftet med förestående uppsats att ytterligare belysa musikämnets situation i den svenska lärarutbildningen såsom den manifesterar sig i kursplanerna på högskolor och universitet. Föremål för analys är samtliga lärarutbildningars kursplaner i det allmänna utbildningsområdet (AUO), som tillsammans med den nationella kursplanen i musik (Kp2000) utgör underlag för besvarandet av forskningsfrågan ?På vilket sätt förbereds lärarstudenter för musikundervisning enligt Kp2000??. Ur ett hermeneutiskt perspektiv genomförs analysen baserad på fyra sökord; ?Musik?, ?Estetik?, ?Musisk? samt ?Konstnärlig?, ord hämtade ur den presenterade kontexten kring analysobjekten.

Background: Low back pain (LBP) is a common disorder in the western world. A majority of those afflicted by a first acute episode is at high risk of developing sub-acute or persistent symptoms. Persistent LBP can be caused by pathological changes in the discs and disturbed neuromuscular activation, which can cause hypotrophy of the extensors strong type-2 muscle fibres. Deadlift (DL) is an exercise that may correct all these pathological transformations. Aim: To investigate the effect of DL-training on patients with persistent LBP.

The purpose of the present essay, as part of the project Self esteem and Life circumstances among teenagers, was to investigate the rate of both deliberate self-harm (DSH) and risk behaviour related to eating disorders in 14-year-old swedish adolescents, gender differences in DSH, and possible correlations between DSH and risk behaviours related to eating disorder. In addition, the effects of expressive writing (Pennebaker & Beall, 1986) on DSH and risk behaviours related to eating disorders were investigated. Data from two pilot studies are included. In total, 198 14-year-olds from four different schools in southern Sweden participated. For the purpose of measuring the rate of DSH, a simplified version of Gratz's (2001) Deliberate Self-Harm Inventory (DSHI) was used.

In this thesis the author has through a discourse analysis examined how the concept of culture has been used in the discourse of integration during the late twentieth century in Sweden. The author argues that the integration of immigrating people has been the fundamental method in creating Swedish citizens within the immigrant communities. In this discourse the concept ?culture? has been a constant recurring way of explaining differences among the immigrants towards ?ethnic swedes? and Swedish way of life and establishing difficulties in performing integration outside of governmental policies. Syftet med denna uppsats har varit att få en inblick i hur pianot används inom den svenska folkmusiken. Bakgrundskapitlet handlar om folkmusikgruppernas och instrumenteringens utveckling inom svensk folkmusik. Jag har intervjuat tre aktiva folkmusikpianister och lyssnat på och analyserat deras spel. Det följer även med en cd-skiva med ljudexempel från intervjutillfällena. Vi pratade om karaktärsdrag som de lyfter fram i spelet, om deras inställning till folkmusiktraditionen, pianots möjligheter och begränsningar samt vilken roll pianot har i den svenska folkmusiken.
