Denna studie är gjord för att undersöka ungdomars tankar kring musik och text, och då med utgångspunkt från forskningsfrågan: Vad är det som gör en låt "bra" och vilken roll spelar budskap och text i musik för tonåringar idag? Studien grundar sig i ett intresse för budskap i musik och funderingar kring huruvida detta budskap når fram till dagens tonåring. All musik förmedlar något men hur uppfattar mottagaren det? Handlar en bra låt endast om musik? Spelar texten den viktigaste rollen i sammanhanget eller är helheten det som tilltalar? Påverkas tonåringarna av musiken och det eventuella budskapet, eller är det något man inte alls bryr sig om? Under tre gruppsamtal med elever från årskurs 7-9 lät jag elever lyssna på låtar och läsa låtens text samt fritt reflektera kring detta. Slutsatsen man utifrån dessa samtal kan dra, är att musiken är det man först möter och således det som avgör hur låten tas emot, samt det som avgör om man är intresserad av att lyssna vidare.

In this thesis you will meet people that are members of a ?health-choir?. This people are singing together once a week and the purpose is to get a better health. You will also see if choir-singing can be seen as A rites of Passage. You will get a direct link to the informants.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur personer som identifierar sig som sao braphet Song (transsexuella) i Thailand konstruerar identitet i vardagen. Uppsatsen utgår ifrån tre temaområden som rör (upplevelse av) kön, sexualitet och upplevelse av social status i samhället. Studien är utförd i Pattaya, Thailand under hösten 2007 och baseras på kvalitativa intervjuer tillsammans med observationer. Materialet tolkas med hjälp av teorier om socialkonstruktionism, postkolonial teori och genusperspektiv.Materialet visar på den komplexa situation som transsexuella befinner sig i då de ständigt måste kämpa emot ett heteronormativt utanförskap. Genom performativa handlingar skapar deltagarna i studien kön och sexualitet, och i många fall är berättelserna fyllda av motsägelsefullhet.

Hållbarhet är ett begrepp som har fått en allt större och viktigare betydelse i samband med evenemang. Denna genomslagskraft beror på flera skäl såsom etiska, strukturella och marknadsföringsmässiga. Tack vare utvecklingen har många organisationer fått upp ögonen för detta fenomen och Malmö stad och Region Skåne, som bär huvudansvaret för Eurovision Song Contests kringaktiviteter, är inga undantag. Ett mål som Malmö stad har under sitt värdskap är att ISO-certifiera organisationens arbete vid kringaktiviteter i samband med musiktävlingen. Huvudsyftet med denna studie är att undersöka vad ett hållbart evenemang är.

Vad tycker och värderar musiklärare som viktigt när de väljer låtar och repertoar för kursen Instrument eller sång på gymnasiet? Detta kopplas sedan samman med Lucy Greens teorier kring det informella och formella lärandet, som till exempel handlar om elevers egna inflytande över musiken och deras egna inflytande över musiklektionernas repertoar.Denna uppsats är främst grundad i kvalitativa metoder. De utvalda lärarnas tankar och idéer är insamlat ifrån en internet - enkät där frågorna var mer eller mindre öppna.

This hasbeen an exploratory work in how I could translate my illustrations tomoving images in the program Adobe Aftereffects. I have formed myown narrative by creating a storyboard. I worked with illustrated setdesign, created an atmosphere in the film and experimented with howto tell a subtle story.

People have different hobbies. The people we are going to meet here share the same interest - choir singing. Singing together in different choirs is their hobby (leisure time interest).What brings them together is the singing, getting an opportunity to sing together with people they otherwise would not meet. My working process is craft based and influenced by devotion for the textile material and techniques, but the concept is just as important. I mainly do sculptural objects where I treat fascination, frustration and disgust for the human body from a personal perspective. I am also deeply fascinated with Michael Jackson; an iconic figure that I adore above all else. A man with an inner musical ability, dedicated his entire life to tame and signify it through his body. My master work is an investigation where I look upon similarities and connections between my fascination with the body and the admiration and fascination with Michael Jackson.

The purpose of ?The Lake? was to create an experience with music and visuals working with no budget.A personal purpose was that I wanted to explore new areas in design, like scenography, and combine them with my previous knowledge and skills. My method was to keep my hands busy at all times and use new materials. I also wanted to work with other creators and learn from their methods. Together with a musician I created the music and the concept for the project.

Purpose: Exploring the relatively new technology of convolution reverb, to gather knowledge on its limitations when used practically in the production of pop music, and from these findings to learn about applications in other performing arts and sound design. Methodology: This is a case study of creating convolution reverb by doing impulse responses (IR) and then applying them to studio recorded pop music. The empirical data consists of the final Song results, notes and journals from during the process and the comparisons, as well as established litterature on acoustics, psycho-acoustics and music production. Results: Convolution reverb can widely and freely be used in the production of music and other audio-based art forms, since our study shows that the result of a well-made impulse response from a particular room is indistinguishable from music that is actually played and recorded in the same space..

This paper strives to answer ?What happens to the experience of diehard fans when a groupchanges an original Song?? and the musical example for this are the German group Blutengeland their Songs Behind The Mirror and Reich mir die Hand, which they first performed assymphonic versions at 2012?s Gothic meets Klassik in Leipzig, Germany. Theoretically thispaper is built on the idea that musical meaning conjures not only from the music itself, butalso from the perceiver and the situation.Through five interviews this paper answers who the informants are, what music means forthem and specifically, what the music of Blutengel means for them. The result shows that theinformants were acceptant to the musical change, but for some disappointment would occur ifthe band continued with orchestral instrumentation. The limit for acceptance seems not to liein musical rearrangement but instead in changed artistic identity..
