When nursing human patients during hospitalization, the nurse is the one responsible. The nursing is controlled by different models of nursing and careplans, shaped by every patient?s individual needs. This is to guarantee the quality of the care. The veterinary nurse is not ultimately responsible for patient care.

I uppsatsen undersöktes faktorer som bidrar till skolstress och somatiska symtom hos ungdomar på studieförberedande- och yrkesförberedande gymnasium av båda könen. Deltagarna var 105, varav 59 från de studieförberedande programmen, 23 elever var killar och 36 var tjejer samt, 46 var från de yrkesförberedande programmen, varav 25 var killar och 21 var tjejer. Undersökningen var kvantitativ och enkäter skapades som innehöll 42 frågor varefter 10 variabler skapades av dessa och en fråga analyserades med kvalitativ ansats. Resultaten visade att studenterna på de studieförberedande programmen generellt upplevde mer skolstress. Tjejerna upplevde mer skolstress, externa krav, somatiska-, psykosomatiska besvär och de ansåg sig ha för höga krav på sig själva.

Bakgrund: Psykiska sjukdomar beräknas drabba var fjärde person i världen. Patienter med psykisk sjukdom drabbas i högre grad av somatiska sjukdomar och vårdas då inom somatisk vård. Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva faktorer som påverkar attityder till patienter med psykisk sjukdom hos vårdpersonal inom somatisk vård. Metod: Allmän litteraturstudie med kvalitativ ansats bestående av systematisk granskning av fjorton kvalitativa och kvantitativa artiklar. Resultat: Resultatet visade på att vårdpersonalens attityder påverkades av deras upplevelse av brist på kunskap om att vårda psykiskt sjuka.

Abstract:Job satisfaction has great significance for nurses. The job is very demanding and requires a great deal of responsibility. Low job satisfaction and organisation changes affect their work negatively. The aim of the study was to investigate the nurses? job satisfaction and job situation.

Bakgrund: Baby Friendly Hospital Initiativ bygger på Tio steg till lyckad amning och lanserades år 1991 i Sverige. Efter detta sågs en ökning av amningsfrekvensen. Nu 20 år efter införandet av Tio steg till lyckad amning sjunker amningsfrekvensen. Studier har visat att amningsutfallet påverkas av hur amningen initieras samt det stöd kvinnan får från vårdpersonal, partner och närstående. Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva nyblivna mödrars erfarenheter av förberedelse och initiering av amning.

Patients with COPD (chronically obstuctive pulmonary disease) often experience acute episodes of the disease. On these occasions it is usual that the ambulance nurse is the patients first contact in the care. The purpose of this study is to describe patients' experiences in acute condition of the disease COPD and the Pre-hospital nursing. The method was systematic literature review with content analysis. The results show four prominent themes on the basis of patients' experiences.

Background: Miscarriage is one of the most common complications connected to pregnancy, every fourth woman undergoes a miscarriage during her lifetime. There is often no medical explanation why miscarriage happens, although the risk may increase due to certain factors in lifestyle or diseases. During incomplete miscarriages medical or surgical treatment is needed.Women are treated at surgical or gynecological departments and the period of treatment is often very brief, on some occasions not even a day. Therefore, the nurse faces a great challenge in meeting the women?s needs during the period of treatment.Aim: The aim of the study is to illuminate womens experiences of miscarriage and the treatment they experienced.Methods: A systematic literary study containing 13 articles.Results: Miscarriage is an individual experience and many women are affected emotionally and have many strong feelings afterwards.

Upplevelsen av mötet med akutsjukvården kan vara komplicerad på grund av att det ofta handlar om snabba korta möten där patienterna kan befinna sig i en kris. För att mötet med patienterna ska bli så bra som möjligt är det viktigt att vårdpersonalen har kunskap om hur patienterna upplever mötet med akutsjukvården. Syftet med studien var att få en djupare förståelse för patienters upplevelse av mötet med akutsjukvården. En litteratur studie med kvalitativ ansats gjordes. Studien resulterade i två stycken kategorier positiva och negativa upplevelser.

A thesis directed towards Innovationsslussen in Gothenburg about securing, improving and simplifying sitting on the toilet for patients with sitting difficulties. The primary target group for the project is patients who have had a stroke and as a consequence from that suffers from various kind of bodily paralysis.An overall goal was to design an aid that was comprehensive enough that the patient could manage sitting securely on the toilet without have a nurse giving physical support during defecation.Five conceptual proposals were developed and evaluated in consultation with Innovationsslussen and one was selected to be further developed.The result was an integrated support at the toilet that facilitates a good sitting posture which minimizes the risk of falling and provides comfortable support when leaning to the side. The product is divided in two with both a redesigned carryingsystem and a new type of support surface adapted for the purpose..

The purpose of the present study was to investigate the cow-level association between acute hoof lesions and the somatic milk cell count in dairy cattle. Cows from three loose-housed Swedish dairy herds were enrolled in the study if they had an acute hoof lesion treated by a veterinarian or professional hoof trimmer during the preceding year, according to farmer records. Studied lesions were sole ulcer, dermatitis, interdigital necrobacillosis and hoof abscess, in each case causing lameness. For each hoof-diseased cow, 0 to 3 healthy cows were included, matched with respect to herd, breed, parity and lactation stage. Cell counts were obtained from monthly test recordings from one month before to three months after the hoof-lesion diagnosis, and log-transformed.

These workforces are those most affected by brutality and for ages it has been looked upon as a part of the psychiatric line of work. This viciousness is threatening the safety for both the personnel and the patients.

Mixade vårdsalar, det vill säga där man blandar män och kvinnor, är något som förkommer på sjukhusen runt om i landet och bör uppmärksammas utifrån patientens perspektiv då denne är i beroendeställning av sjukvården och dess vårdmiljö. Det blir allt vanligare att sjukhusen idag har mixade vårdsalar, detta oftast på grund av tids- och platsbrist. Studiens syfte var att beskriva patienters upplevelser av att vårdas på mixad vårdsal på en akut sjukvårdsavdelning inom nedre kirurgi. Studien var kvalitativ med fenomenologisk ansats. En intervjustudie med femton patienter som hade vårdats på mixad vårdsal genomfördes och i resultatet framkom att majoriteten av patienterna upplevde det positivt att vårdas på mixad vårdsal.

Asthma is the most common chronic illness in children. Re-admissions to hospital are common and asthma has a significant impact on children and their families. The purpose of this study was to describe the outcome of the nurses? information and education handed to the family. The result of this literature study was based on 14 scientific articles which evaluated the families? knowledge and the illness? impact on daily life after different ways of asthma information and education.

In Sweden regulations stipulates that dairy cows are kept on pasture, or given the opportunity to spend time outside during a coherent period of between two to four months, depending on region. The transition out to pasture is a big change from the winter period in the stable, especially for the modern high yielding dairy cows. The let out to pasture includes a change in feed, environment, and new routines. There are indications that the milk somatic cell count (SCC) rises in a peak shortly after the let out. The purpose of this study was to see if peaks in the SCC could be observed after the let out, and to study the contribution of inflammatory cells (neutrophils) and if the milk composition are affected. The study included 35 cows that were kept in stable during the winter.
