ABB I-R Waterjet Systems combines the robotics and motion expertise of ABB Flexible Automation with high-pressure intensifier/pumping technology from Ingersoll-Rand to provide and continue to develop innovative waterjet cutting systems for global markets. The purpose of this assignment is to develop a process water purifier. The purifier should be applicable as an option to ABB I-R?s production cell Cutting-Box. At first hand the process water should be purified well enough to let out in the municipal sewage system, but the ultimate solution is purifying the process water to the range that recycling is possible. When investigating the different principle of purifying water, a research of different products and their manufactories was done. These different products were compared and the principle of filtration was the most applicable, as most of the products were designed for far larger applications. As the process water contains quite large amount of particles, it is necessary to perform the filtration in different steps. The process water purifier is therefore composed of a module of coarse filtration and one of micro filtration. In the module of coarse filtration the mainly amount of fibres and particles are eliminated. They are kept back in the container unit with the larger fragments and dumped with these when the container is emptied. In the module of micro filtration the filtration is performed in two steps. In the first step particles larger than 50?m are eliminated, in the second step the micro filter is setting the range of purifying, in this case 10?m.

Examensarbetet gick ut på att stötprova ett system för upphängning av kablar och rör i fartyg. Vid stötprovningen monterades upphängningssystemet i en fixtur. Gruppen fick fria händer att utforma fixturen. Med hjälp av Fredy Olssons teorier om produktframtagning utvecklades en fixtur bestående av fyrkantrör. Genom att värdera och selektera bland de lösningar som presenterades i examensarbetet ?Upphängningssystem? BTH-IMA-EX?2000/C-02-SE och andra nytillkomna likvärdiga lösningar, har gruppen kommit fram till och stötprovat ett system, bestående av aluminiumprofiler och vinklar från Bosch Rexroth.

This thesis work includes studies and simulation how magnetization of the translator in a linear generator for wave power can be automated. The translator is the moving component in the generator that is "dressed" with permanent magnets. The translator is magnetized with rectangle-shaped permanent magnets that are today's strongest permanent magnet type of neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB).Eight equivalent metal sheets are mounted around the translator. The plates have milled tracks where 106 permanent magnets per sheet are mounted. Today the assembling of the magnets is done by hand, which is a very tedious and time-consuming work.  This project presents investigations about the automation of the translator magnetization theoretically and simulation results are preformed in ABB's robot simulation software RobotStudio. Even robot-held tool was designed that enables the robot to be able to magnetize the translator in a simple manner.  The investment cost is roughly 1.5 million SEK. With an economic life-time of five years, the investment costs are estimated to 24000 SEK / month.  According to the calculations, this project is very motivated to implement, as it provides savings up to 17 000 SEK per translator which is 10.2 million SEK assuming that the robot cell is operating at full speed the whole year.According to this thesis work the result is a 4x9 meter cell with two industrial robots of the type ABB IRB6650S.The cycle time to magnetize one translator was calculated to about 10 hours.This prototype of project can possibly be implemented in a full-scale production line and performed according to the calculations and simulations presented in the report. Further work is suggested to improve the tool.Lyssna .

Background: Companies and organizations of today spend large amounts of money on IT-based business solutions. Such business solutions normally include business- consulting and software-creation (IT-related services). Due to the rapid development of the technology within this field of business the IT-customers find it difficult to select among potential suppliers on objective grounds.Purpose: To increase the understanding for the professionl approach of the people involved in the sales- and purchase process of IT-related services in a business-to-business context. The study is taking the buyers'as well as the sellers'perspective into account when analyzing the process. Method: The empirical findings were collected from eight companies in Linköping and Stockholm.

Funktionskraven på industrigolv har under senare år ökat. Ett industrigolv skall klara att överföra laster till underlaget samt utgöra ett fast och plant underlag. I denna rapport har två utföranden av påldäck för golv i lagerlokaler jämförts. Den traditionella metoden med armeringsnät har jämförts med en något nyare metod med stålfiberarmerad betong. Jämförelserna har gjorts under förutsättning att golvet skall belastas med 3 ton per kvadratmeter.

Syftet med uppsatsen har varit att undersöka framgångsfaktorer vid införandet av ERP-system i olika företag. Både kundernas och leverantörens syn på framgångsfaktorer vid införandet har klargjorts. Min empiriska undersökning har utförts på fem olika företag och jag har intervjuat totalt fem personer som samtliga haft mycket centrala roller vid ERP-införandena. Vid intervjuerna har jag använt mig av kvalitativ ansats där informanterna har fått berätta relativt fritt om vad de uppfattat kunna påverka framgången med införandet av ERP-systemen. Jag analyserade det insamlade materialet med hjälp av empirinär kvalitativ bearbetning, i form av innehållsanalys.

With the climate change issues growing in importance on the social agenda, the field of urban masterplanning is of no exception when it comes to minimizing the carbon footprint in a variety of projects. The aim of this thesis has been to prepare the Carbon Critical Masterplanning tool, a software plugin for carbon dioxide emissions assessment developed by Atkins, to be used in Swedish conditions. The main targets were to improve the areas of the tool associated with energy conversion and renewable energy sources, and to test the tool in a real case. A planned construction of a new campus in Albano, Stockholm was chosen for the pilot study. A 3D model was built in the tool and the carbon footprint was calculated for a variety of combinations for energy supply to the future area.

The burrs are removedusing different methods, one of which is deburring with special brushing machines thatare integrated into milling cells. The use of mobile devices has during the last years expanded and on the market you can see a huge amount of applications. The development of mobile applications differs from traditional systems development since mobility infers that mobile applications can be used in different technological and social contexts. Although previous research has recognized that mobility can present mobile application developers with certain challenges, empirical studies of how problems arise and how they can be handled has thus far been limited. In this study we focused on the requirements engineering process from a development view with the purpose of finding challenges emerging in the development process. The study is based on a qualitative case study that employed semi-structured interviews with both project managers and system developers active in the requirements process.

Det finns flera olika sätt att konkurrera med en balpress på marknaden. Ett av dessa är att minska cykeltiden för en komplett pressoperation. Härav formulerades en problemställning som lade grunden för examensarbetet. Problemställningen löd ?Metod och anordning för åstadkommande av stegrande presskraft i balpress, Nättraby Verktyg AB.? Sambandet mellan minskad cykeltid och stegrande presskraft gav lösningen med varierande hastighet på pressplattan. För att lösa problemet valdes en frekvensomriktare som omriktar matningsfrekvensen till elmotorn.

The project was conducted in close cooperation with Ergosafe AB.Ergosafe develops, manufactures and sells electric sliding windows. Under våren år 2013 har Emilia Andersson, en designingenjörsstudent på Högskolan i Skövde, utfört ett produktutvecklingsprojekt i samarbete med HAGS Aneby AB. Syftet med projektet var att utveckla en vippgunga vars storlek skulle vara anpassad för barn i åldrarna 1-3 år. Målet var att vippgungan ska kunna säljas över hela världen samt uppfylla den amerikanska standarden och europastandarden för lekredskap.Projektet inleddes med en förstudie och teori-fas, där bland annat litteraturstudie och konkurrentanalys genomfördes och annan information samlades in för att få djupare kunskaper inom ämnet. Därefter började idéer och koncept genereras, som sedan genomgick utvärderingar, så som användartester, vilket ledde till ett slutkoncept. Konceptet utvärderades med hjälp av bland annat hållfasthetsberäkningar och en antropometrisk analys.Den slutgiltiga vippgungan kan trots anpassningen för åldersgruppen, inte bara användas av 1-3-åringar utan också av äldre barn, tack vare att konstruktion och framförallt handtag ger extra lekvärden.

Competition of spruce fiber raw materials has increased dramatically in the last few years, leading to the fact that transportation costs in the current situation represents a much larger share of the total raw material cost. The Holmen-owned pulp industry Hallsta Paper Mill's location on the coast also constitutes a problem, because of the lack of raw material, which is much larger there, than for a pulp mill located in the hinterland. For a coastal industry it?s therefore natural to import much of the raw material by boat or to buy it from the timber terminals, in order to maintain good profitability. The purpose of this study was to analyze how the size of Hallsta Paper Mill timber supply area, without competition, with competition and with terminal use, affects the company ?s transport costs.
