Höjdmodellering med laserdata : Studie av Kärsön, Ekerö med fokus på upplösning, datalagring samt programvara
The New National Elevation Model (NNH) is a new high-resolution digital elevation model (DEM) of Sweden from airborne laser scanning. It creates many new opportunities, particularly in the area of flood mapping. NNH is provided by Lantmäteriet in two formats, both in raw LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) data and in grid format with two meter resolution. These alternatives have advantages and disadvantages and the aim of this thesis research is to identify these. One of the focuses of the study is data storage and thus data structure analysis, resolution and storage facilities. The research questions are:Why and in what context the different NNH-products from the National Land Survey are used (DEM 2+ or point cloud)?What constraints and opportunities are created by the different options, mainly in terms of different software, resolution, and data storage?The study area is Kärsön in Ekerö municipality located in Stockholms län and has an approximate area of 25 square kilometers. The study is divided into two parts. The first objective is to identify the consequences of using different software to create DEM from pointcloud compared to the DEM2+ model. Height models with a two meter resolution are created in FME and ArcGIS. The models are then compared with the grid from Lantmäteriet, created in TerraScan. The second objective is to examine the impact of the change in resolution, both the storage aspect and both the accuracy aspect. Inverse Distance Weighted (IDW) is an interpolation method which in previous studies proved to have the best results on high resolution LIDAR data. This model was tested and compared with a model from FMEs built-in function and the model from Lantmäteriet wich are based on triangulation (also proved a good method in previous studies). The grid created in TerraScan has good properties such as accuracy.

This report describes the development of a sample loader for my diploma work at Q-linea AB in Uppsala. The sample loader will replace the process of loading fluid samples into Q-linea?s instrument for biomolecule analysis. The earlier process was done by hand and was a time consuming and inefficient task.The work was initiated with a design phase where an overview of the system was created. The sample loader will be receiving text commands from a PC that coordinates all the subsystems like pumps and lasers on the analysis instrument.

When driving hard and cornering on a circuit good control of a car?s roll is desired, so the car reaches steady state quickly but yet in a controlled fashion. This control is mainly given by the combination of the cars springs, shock absorbers and anti-roll bars.The aim of this report is to investigate, analyze and measure a Porsche Boxster?s turn in behaviour and roll dynamics as well as with the aid of simulation results give suggestions for improvement of the previous mentioned combination.Two different simulations were made, one based on a simpler model that was based on an evolved version of the bicycle model in Matlab and one was more advanced model in the simulation software rFactor. Measurements of the real car was made using a GPS-based measurement system.
Riktlinjer för yttre hot - En inblick i riktlinjer angående yttre hot för Karlskrona kommun
Målet med detta arbete är att bättre förstå hur riktlinjer ska skapas och
användas. Utgångspunkten har varit att media uppmärksammat ett flertal
incidenter där främmande människor tog oönskad kontakt med olika förskolor i
Karlskronaområdet. Författarna ville då se över hur kommunen arbetade med
frågor om yttre hot vilket medförde att arbetet utmynnade i ett försök om att
bättre försöka få förståelse för riktlinjer och dess användning då kommunen vid
arbetets start saknade riktlinjer för yttre hot av denna typ. Metoden som
använts är av kvalitativ art i form av intervjuer med några säkerhetsansvariga
för förskolor i andra svenska kommuner. Resultatet av dessa intervjuer
tillsammans med kompletterande material från generella tillvägagångssätt för
identifikation och analys av säkerhetsproblem resulterade i ett förslag på
arbetsmetoden vid skapandet av riktlinjer samt en påminnelse om att se över
befintliga riktlinjer för yttre hot..
Implementation av FlexRay prototypstack
FlexRay is a new communication protocol which is fast, reliable and flexible and therefore can meet the increasing demands on data communication in the vehicle industry. The protocol is developed by an industrial consortium containing among others BMW, Daimler Chrysler, Motorola and Phillips. Today (May 2009) Hägglunds is using CAN for data transmission in their systems. CAN is getting obsolete and has difficulties in coping with the increasing flow of communication. In this report FlexRay and its communication capacity is studied.
Att förstå friskvård och hälsa ur ett individperspektiv : Intervjuer med anställda inom verkstadsindustrin
The aim of this qualitative study was to give an deeper understanding of how employees in the engineering industry experienced health education and how they understood and gave meaning to the terms health and health education. The study was based on interviews with eight men and women who participated in a health education project which had been held on their workplace. When the study took place the interviewees were in the age between 28 and 58 years. The results indicate that the employees understood health as a combination of both physical and psychological factors. The positive aspects described by the interviewees based on their experiences from the project were increase physical activities and that the project had helped them to get a better diet.
Instabila processer i visuell kultur
I uppsatsen undersöks instabila processer i visuell kultur på två plan: i tid och rum och i material och metoder.Den tar upp vad instabila processer i visuell kultur är uttryck för och vad processerna får för konsekvenser förkonstbegreppet.Inledningsvis kartläggs hur Nicolas Bourriaud, Lev Manovich, Mieke Bal, Manuel Castells och MiwonKwon beskriver kulturella instabila processer. I syfte att undersöka om teorierna går att tillämpa på visuellauttryck utförs därefter en empirisk analys av musikvideor av Coldplay, Radiohead och Röyksopp. Också enjämförande analys görs för att se om instabila processer går att finna även inom scenkonsten. Det somundersöks i detta fall är en teaterföreställning av 123 Schtunk.De instabila processer som beskrivs i texterna återfinns i hög grad i de analyserade verken. Processernavisar sig vara en spegling av en nomadisk och mobil diskurs som orsakas av nätverkssamhällets strävan efteratt överskrida tid, rum och fasta begrepp.

Störningsindikation på lågspänningsnät
Föreliggande rapport är avsedd som ett examensarbete i elektroteknik (20p).Syftet med arbetet är att skapa en applikation för att finna störningar pålågspänningsnätet upp till 95kHz. Bakgrunden till arbetet kommer frånenergibolagen som vill kunna skicka datainformation direkt pålågspänningsnätet, detta vill de kunna göra med hastigheter mellan 2k ? 5kHz. Beroende på med vilken hastighet man vill skicka information kan störningar mellan givna frekvenser hindra datatransmissionen, därför är detviktigt att hitta vid vilka frekvenser störningarna uppstår så att lämpligaåtgärder kan vidtas.Grundläggande delar i applikationen är ett oscilloskop för mätning, dator medGPIB- kort för upptagning av data och LabView programvara för hantering avdata. AbstractThe purpose of this bachelor thesis is to describe the use of artificial insemination (AI) in sheep and discuss the possibilities for AI in Sweden. Male and female fertility, heat detection, semen handling and insemination techniques in sheep are described. Advantages and disadvantages of AI are discussed. In order to achieve genetic progress it is important with well planned and implemented breeding programs. The Swedish Sheep Recording Scheme and computer software from Elitlamm are the basis for sheep breeding in Sweden.

This Master thesis discusses the development of a virtual human soft tissue object for use in exercise applications of various medical procedures.The soft tissue object to be developed shall look like, feel like and behave as living human tissue. It shall give the user a realistic feeling of weight, softness and roughness, and shall behave in a correct way for exercise purposes. The soft tissue model is to be used in a three dimensional stereo graphic environment with haptic feedback. A prototype for practicing the procedure of inserting a catheter is built. The prototype is used to evaluate the potential of the virtual environment for medical exercise applications, and to assess the realism and usability of the soft tissue object.
