Syftet med examensarbetet var att skapa ett kostnadseffektivt, vackert fackverk av limträ i en samtidig utvecklingsprocess med arkitekt, konstruktör och entreprenör. Metodiken har till stor del följt idéerna i concurrent engineering, en samtidig utvecklingsprocess där alla involverade gemensamt kommer fram med förslag och lösningar. I och med att arkitekt, konstruktör och entreprenör jobbar samtidigt utformas också hela konceptet inklusive detaljer och produktionsprocess i en och samma utvecklingsprocess. Till stöd för beslutsfattandet i designprocessen har axiomatisk design använts, vilket är en metodik som hanterar design i matematiska termer. De olika lösningar som evolverar från processen concurrent engineering har sedan optimerats med ett Matlab-program med avseende på lägsta materialkostnad.

This thesis has been performed at Scania CV AB Technical Centre in Södertälje and its aim hasbeen to study the causes and effects of deformations in the interface between the rear axlehousing ADA1100 and the central gear house R780 during operation. Design changes that wouldincrease the sealing capability of the studied interface are also suggested. Finite element (FE)and CAD software have been the primary tools in this study.Finite element (FE) simulations are used in the industry to predict and develop engineeringdesigns. The main motive for FE simulations has traditionally been to identify weak spots in thedesign, regarding high tensions and large deformations.The FE model is an aggregation of submodels and interface models that represents the rear axlehousing, suspension, central gear, central gear housing, wheels, bolts and weldings, and theirinteractions. The submodels have different material properties and they are connected withcontact interface models.Boundary conditions are defined on the bushings in front of the rear axle and on the air bellowsbehind the rear axle.

This report is a bachelor thesis work within the field of Product Development and is also an assignment for Thule Sweden. The work has been performed by Niclas Tjäderborn and Christian Holm, students at the Mechanical Engineering Program with major in Product Development and Industrial Design at Jönköping School of Engineering during spring the semester of 2009.The thesis work concerned the development of a new wheel holder for bike carrier for Thule Sweden. The background to the project was that the initiator wanted a more user friendly wheel holder with better design than those available on the market. The wheel holder is able to be implemented on one or several of Thule?s current wheel holders.

This master thesis has been carried out at Scania R&D at the department for Powertrain Control System Development during the winter of 2010/2011. In the thesis the writer examine and evaluate the existing method for collecting information from the tests carried out during the development of the Powertrain Control Systems software. It also contains suggestions for how a new method that enhance the validation elements could look like.The master thesis uses Vicentes theories of the ecological approach and theories of how knowledge sharing of tacit and technical information works within an organization and between the organization and its customers. First a workplace analysis at Scania R&D is carried out to see how Powertrain Control Systems work and how they test their software. Second a control task analysis, where the aims decided on after the interviews, is compared to the existing method.

The aim for the project was to develop a risk analyse tool for measuring the fire safety level in Cultural Heritage buildings of Visby, Gotland. In 1995 Visby were taken into the Unesco:s World Heritage List with the explanation ?Visby is an outstanding example of a Northern European walled Hanseatic town which has in a unique way preserved its townscape and its extremely valuable buildings? One of the demands for the tool was that it should be easy to use and result into a ranking level in examined buildings. The user of the tool is recommended to be personnel in the fire department. This major project in Building Engineering has its focus on inquiring into what methods has been used in the planning process of the residential buildingLjusbojen 1. This project has been conducted in cooperation with Kadesjös Ingenjörsbyrå AB, an engineering contractor firm which also acts as the property developer. Initially several different general methods for planning residential buildings have been presented. After the methods from the process of building Ljusbojen 1 has been analyzed compared to the general methods presented in part 1. This shows what the determining factors are during the planning process; factors such as cost, quality, time management, know-how and environmental issues.

Internet OS är operativsystem som placerar sina resurser och processorkraft ute på Internet, ofta med hjälp av olika molnettjänster. Det finns problem och utmaningar med Internet OS. Dessa problem kan vara ett hinder för företag att överge de traditionella operativsystemen, som exempelvis Windows, och övergå till Internet OS. Det saknas undersökningar om IT-företag vill eller kan flytta sin verksamhet till molnet. Vi vill ge en tydligare bild och bidra med ny kunskap om företags syn på Internet OS. Arbetet har genomförts med en litteraturstudie som har fokuserats på vad den akademiska världen vet om Internet OS med fokus på Chrome OS.
