I dagens Europa är stora löneskillnader mellan kvinnor och män samt låg representation av kvinnor på höga befattningar fortfarande ett stort problem. Mot bakgrund av detta har EU framlagt ett lagförslag om kvotering till börsbolagens styrelser. Debatten om jämställdhet är livlig och högaktuell. Parallellt med detta agerar näringslivet i en kamp om kompetensen där jämställdhet anses vara en viktig komponent för att vara en attraktiv arbetsgivare. Då studien antar ett nyinstitutionellt perspektiv har antagandet varit att organisationerna anpassar sig till omgivande krav för att vinna social legitimitet och således att jämställdhet är en viktig legitimitetsskapande faktor i denna process.

Denna studie utgår från att den partipolitiska argumentationen för Sverige och Danmarks säkerhetspolitiska positionering inte varit överensstämmande med den statliga säkerhetspolitiska positioneringen genom åren. Syftet med denna undersökning är att genom ett historisk institutionellt perspektiv belysa hur politiska partiers stigberoende har inverkan på i vilken riktning som den statliga säkerhetspolitiska debatten kommer att anta och således den statliga säkerhetspolitiska positioneringen. Forskningsfrågorna som skall besvaras är; Utgör de politiska partiernas argumentationer en stabil och förutsägbar politisk institution? Hur argumenterar respektive parti för sin ståndpunkt gällande statens säkerhetspolitiska ställning under 1965, 1992 (1995) och 2014? Följer Folkpartiet och Venstre samma stigberoende? Följer Vänsterpartiet och Socialistisk Folkeparti samma stigberoende?Studien utgår från en kvalitativ textanalys för att frambringa hur de svenska partierna Folkpartiet och Vänsterpartiet samt de danska partierna Venstre och Socialistisk Folkeparti argumenterar för sin säkerhetspolitiska positionering under åren 1965, 1992 (1995 för Venstre) och 2014. Därefter har en kvalitativ jämförande analys genom de teoretiska analysverktygen utförts för att påvisa huruvida partiernas följer ett stigberoende på ideologisk grund, efter det formativa momentet eller avviker från stigberoendet.Resultatet påvisar att partier med ett konsekvent stigberoende i förhållande till sin ideologiska motpart har större slagkraft för i vilken riktning den politiska säkerhetsdebatten kommer att anta, och ger en inblick i hur debatten kommer att fortskrida i framtiden..

Det finns olika synsätt och sätt att bruka Bibeln. I denna uppsats finns det tre kategoriserade former av bibelläsare. Problem/Bakgrund: Det neurotiska tillståndet och upplevelsen av det är ett psykologiskt fenomen, men upphovet och konstruktionen är en sociologisk orsak. Även om upplevelsen är psykologisk så får vi inte förbise att det är miljön i interaktion med människan som ger upphov till problemet. Genom kulturutvecklingen blir detta problem framstående, därför är det viktigt för sociologin att bearbeta det genom att förstå dess orsak.Syfte: Denna teoretiska uppsats har till syfte att med psykoanalytisk teori, sociologiskt förklara uppkomsten av neurotiska tillstånd. Jag har använt psykoanalytisk personlighetsstruktur som i interaktionen med kulturen visar hur neurotism växer fram. Objektrelationernas betydelse för personlighetsstrukturen kommer att framhållas och hur personlighetsstrukturens uppbyggnad är intressant i kulturella sammanhang.

This thesis has aimed to study steering process and institutionalization in the context of educational policy work. This has been conducted by using empirical material from the political decision-making process that preceded the implementation of a new national program on how principals should be educated and certified. By using an aggregated theoretical point of view containing new institutionalism and traditional Swedish curriculum theory, the process was analyzed from different perspectives. The results depict a process that contained several actors who tried to shape the principal education program differently. From the theoretical perspectives, the decision-making process could be understood as an act of both self-interest as well as trust in their own beliefs and cultural values.

Ett använt begrepp när det gäller tonårstjejer och sexualitet är sexuell agens, att handla efter egna beslut. Avsikten med denna studie är att nå en ökad förståelse av vad som påverkar utvecklingen av sexuell agens hos tonårstjejer, utifrån berättelser av två professioner vid ungdomsmottagningar. Syftet är också att göra en kritisk analys och en sociologisk teoretisering av upplevelsen av sexuell agens samt utifrån ett maktperspektiv utreda dess disciplinerande och frigörande potential.Tidigare forskning visar främst att det finns en avsaknad av lust och kunskap hos tonårstjejer samt att deras förmåga att ta självständiga beslut i relation till sexualitet är avhängt deras agens. I denna studie genomfördes kvalitativa intervjuer med barnmorskor och kuratorer vid ungdomsmottagningar. Tematisk analysmetod användes vid tolkningsförfarandet.

The aim of this master thesis is to study how the development of a public library by means of ideas and methods from the private sector can be related to traditional core values. We base our study on institutional theory, which focuses on norms and values in an organisation, and new institutional theory, which focuses on how organisations are influenced by changes in the environment. We also use New Public Management with a market focus to analyze the implications of a development towards a more market oriented view.The method used is that of a case study of a new library concept, Idea Stores in London. Idea Stores are a number of new public libraries in Tower Hamlets developed from the results of a major opinion survey about libraries. The Idea Stores combine traditional library services with elements of adult education and lifelong learning in a partnership with local learning centres.

This study examines whether social media had an influence on the revolution in Egypt. Social media was an important tool for the revolution since the president Hosni Mubarak and the Egyptian regime strictly controls the media. However social media was not the determining factor for the revolution, the revolt evolved due to many underlying factors. Social media facilitated communication, made the mobilization effective and, spread information to the inhabitants and to the rest of the world. A tragic event in 2012 sparked a debate about the need for a law of civil courage when it became clearthat passivity in situations where people ?s lives are put in danger is not punishable. In this essay based on qualitative interviews with jurists and students of law the issue of civil courage is analyzed with the help of sociological theory. My objective has been to try and find out if a law of civil courage can be motivated with the argument that it would strengthen the public moral. My conclusion is that a law of moral courage is not a suitable way of making people more willing to help others or to strengthen the civil courage or the public moral.

The aim of this study is to through six interviews, with six experienced, social workers?, in three cities, understand how the child?s position in the Swedish child protective services? enquiries has change, and the factors behind it.
