The purpose of my report was to find out how music can benefit the language development of children, whilst getting a glimpse of how the educators in preschools use music as a tool for the language development of children. During the course of the report I?ve used the sociocultural perspective theory as a foundation to stand on, this is most of all visible in my analysis and discussion of the result. In the result we can see that the educators possess insight in the importance of music in childrens development, and that they therefore give music a lot of room in their work. Songs where rhyme and language play are allowed are common elements at the preschool that attracts the children and makes them want to partake. Songs sung with movement is a commonly used combination which also serves to further lift the childrens language development when they, through movement, give meaning to the lyrics. It does however take a devoted educator to make music with the preschool children and to support them and making them want to do it.

Dessa är frågeställningarna som vår studie undersöker. Metoden har bestått av två delar: text- och videoanalys samt kvalitativa intervjuer av både beslutsfattare och medborgare i stadsdelen. Teorierna som har legat till grund för vår analys är Foucaults diskursteorier, Ristilamis forskning om förortsdiskursen samt Stigendals teorier om sociala levnadsförhållanden.Text- och videoanalyserna och de kvalitativa intervjuerna har visat oss att politikernas och tjänstemännens bild av trygghetssituationen i stadsdelen har varit annorlunda gentemot medborgarnas perspektiv. Denna skillnad ligger till stor del i deras olika tolkningar av begreppet trygghet som kortfattat kan uttryckas som att beslutsfattarna har en snävare, säkerhetsbaserad syn på trygghet medan medborgarna generellt inkluderar fler aspekter såsom den socio-ekonomiska situationen.

The history of Banu Umayya has since the collapse of the caliphate occupied a major part in Islamic historiography. The present thesis analyses the presentation of the Umayyads in Ibn Khaldun?s al-Muqaddima and its relation to previous historical traditions. The thesis examines the social and intellectual context in which Ibn Khaldun stood and how it is represented in his historiography, while also providing an overview of the various socio-political, intellectual and historiographical developments in Islam. The theoretical perspectives are based on the concept of agency, examining the intellectual room for manoeuvre that the historian disposed of while composing the works.

This essay deals with risk management and social risks, which have received increased attentionin recent years. Syfte: Studiens syfte är att utvärdera Swedbank Markets aktieindexobligationer, SPAX, och ta fram optimala portföljen över de senaste tio åren. Den ska även fungera som ett bidrag till debatten kring aktieindexobligationer. Metod: Denna studiens huvudsakliga arbete bestod i att samla in och bearbeta den stora mängd data som krävdes för dess genomförande. Ett arbete som bedrevs genom olika databaser och över Internet. Därefter användes den teoretiska referensramen som tagits fram för att utföra beräkningar på dessa data, vars resultat sedan även sammanställdes och analyserades.

The aim of the study was to explore the psychological well-being of a group of adolescents in relation to how they regarded achieving in school, in a gender perspective. Twenty semi-structured interviews were conducted with students aged 17-19 at a high-achieving school in a big city in Sweden. The interviews were analyzed thematically and the results showed that the adolescents acted differently as well as regarded achieving in school differently depending on gender. The young women were driven by ambition, they were high-achieving and planning for the future. The young men cared less about achieving and thought more about the present.

The Swedish stock-market gives investors an opportunity to benefit from the global growth while financing companies invests and contributes to a socio-economic development. The growth of savings in funds, combined with an increased focus on sustainability has developed SRI (socially responsible investment). Therefore it is interesting to examine whether responsibility is an exception, which only concerns SRI-funds or a general principle, which includes the whole Swedish stock-market.The results of the survey makes it clear that all the Swedish major banks actively works to integrate sustainability within the respective bank's business to achieve a more sustainable financial system. Thus concludes the investigation that responsible investments are a general principle on the Swedish mutual stock-market.How responsibility is integrated in fund management differ between the banks.

The aim of this paper is to investigate the subject matter of visual communication in presentation brochures of two Swedish regions: Region Halland and Region Dalarna. My focuses are the following questions: what is the aim of the brochures and in what ways does the visual material relate to that aim? How can strategic communication be defined through a visual perspective and in what ways is it useful in the context of presentation brochures of the regions? What sort of communicational functions are specific for the visual material in relation to the written language of the brochures? Lead by these questions, I start by analyzing the brochures through a textual analysis and a social semiotic approach. The result shows that the aim seems to be both political and commercial, but that the visual elements relate more strongly to the commercial aim than to the political aim by the way they strive to present a positive image of the region. The visual elements work in strategic ways that I define as visual strategies.

In this paper Swedish hedge funds and strategies are discussed and analysed. These new financial forms seem to draw recently a huge attention both in media, press and the academic world. The fact is that hedge funds have existed already for a long time but it is still known too little about them. After the introduction of hedge funds, different asset pricing models are discussed including the most basic of all ? CAPM and further Fama and French three factor model as well as the expanding model with conditioning approach.

Studien syfte var att beskriva fotbollstränares verbala beteende samt analysera vilka förutsättningar dessa beteenden skapar för utveckling av spelarnas exekutiva förmågor (EF) som, enligt Vestberg et al (2012) är en avgörande faktor att bli elitspelare. För att komma fram till resultatet av fotbollstränarnas verbala beteende användes kvantitativ observation med inspiration från observationsschemat Coach Analysis Intervention System (CAIS) (Cushion, Stephen, Bob & Lee, 2012). Därefter analyserades vilka förutsättningar resultatet skapar för utveckling av exekutiva funktioner hos spelarna genom kvalitativ bedömning utifrån Annerstedts (2001) teoretiska perspektiv och tidigare forskning (Jackson & Beilock, 2008; Pearson & Webb, 2006;Williams & Hodges, 2005). Resultatet visar att tränarna har högst frekvens på instruktioner, lägst frekvens på reflekterande feedback och få divergenta frågor. Analysen visar att förutsättningarna för spelarna att utveckla EF är störande. Uppsatsen syftar till att ge en bild av hur små ägarledda företag ser på sin revisor och revisionen som utförs. Problemformuleringen har besvarats genom nio personliga intervjuer. Vi har kommit fram till att små företag har en dålig bild av vad revisorns arbete innebär. Det mesta som är skrivet om bedömning i utbildningen gäller hur läraren i skolan bedömer elevens kunskaper. Däremot finns det inte så mycket studier om hur handledare bedömer eleven i det arbetsplatsförlagda lärandet. Då vi är blivande yrkeslärare och de elever som vi kommer att undervisa har en del av sin utbildning på arbetsplatsen kändes detta ämne intressant, aktuellt och viktigt för oss att undersöka. Studiens syfte är att undersöka handledarens strategier och grunder för bedömning av eleven i det arbetsplatsförlagda lärandet. Vi har utgått från den socio-kulturella teorin och har som datainsamlingsmetod använt oss av kvalitativa intervjuer.
