Abstract: The aim of this study is to investigate the attitudes towards the labour movement?s strategies, goals and organisational issues in Swedish Miners? Union?s (Gruvindustriarbetareförbundet, hereafter Gruv) paper, Gruvarbetaren 1917-1925.The theoretical starting point is Engels? view on the class state. This perspective turns the question of Socialism and the way to get there into an issue of working class power over the state. Another theoretical perspective is the partition of the labour movement into a trade-unionistic branch, seeing unions as financial organisations of interest, and a pro-state one, considering unions as political organisations.During the period investigated Gruvarbetaren was quite radical and advocated a firm class struggle strategy towards employers. Since these were considered unreliable, class struggle was seen as the only way to better the conditions for the working class.

This study aims to investigate and describe the direction of the ideological development of the Swedish gymnastics association Gymniska Förbundet. Between 1928 and 1932, this organization transformed from a purely gymnastic and cultural association into an influential platform for the production of Swedish nationalist ideology. Based on theories of National Socialism?s formation within modern society, the analysis focus on the conditions regulating Gymniska Förbundets relation to modernity. Thus the study examines the association?s ideas in relationship to the concept of modernity.

Syftet med den undersökning som redovisas i detta examensarbete var att undersöka hur läro-böcker för kursen Samhällskunskap A i gymnasieskolan uppmuntrar elever till att inta ett kritiskt förhållningssätt. I syftet ingick också att undersöka huruvida några ideologiska kopplingar kunde finnas i lärobokstexterna. Med en kvalitativ textanalys av 10 läroböckers texter om EU undersöktes i vilken utsträckning texterna hade en problematiserande framställning, för att på så sätt uppmuntra eleverna till att reflektera kritiskt och formulera egna ståndpunkter. I förekommande fall undersöktes framställningens samband med de avgörande frågor kring EU-projektet som ställs inom ideologierna konservatism, liberalism, demokratisk Socialism och ekologism. Resultatet av analysen visade att fyra av läroböckerna har en starkt problematiserande framställning medan majoriteten av böckerna har en framställning som är obetydligt eller svagt problematiserande.

The aim of this thesis is to examine the debate in Swedish library press concerning privatization of public libraries. The aim of the thesis stems from a desire to know whether Swedish librarians, as has been alleged in contemporary right wing debate, are politically biased and adherents of Socialism. The debate is analysed using the method of idea and ideology analysis, using the tool of ideal types of the ideologies Socialism and neo- liberalism. As material I have chosen articles from the magazines Biblioteksbladet and DIK Forum, from the years 1989 to 2010. The reason for choosing the topic of privatization is that it is a controversial question and a topic one could expect to generate a heated debate.Four positions can be discerned in the debate.

?Denna uppsats undersöker TV-serien Star Treks värderingar ur ett politiskt ideologiskt perspektiv. Star Trek är en amerikansk science fiction-serie som skapades av Gene Roddenberry i mitten av 1960-talet. Frågeställningarna behandlar om det finns politiskt relaterade värderingar framställda i Star Trek, vilken politisk ideologi som mest liknar värderingarna i serien, och om det går att tolka det som om Star Trek har en ideologisk värdegrund. Med hjälp av dagordningsteori, kritisk medieteori och teorier om budskap diskuteras TV-bolagens makt över seriens innehåll.

Denna uppsats behandlar konstruktionen av Vänsterideologi i den svenska partipolitiken under 2001-2013. Uppsatsen förhåller även sitt material och sina fynd till teoretiseringar om Ideologiernas Död och Vänsterns Pånyttfödelse. Det är främst Socialdemokraterna (S) Vänsterpartiet (V) och Kommunistiska Partiet (KP) som undersöks i denna studie. Detta görs med idé- och diskursanalys på partiprogram, valmanifest och TV-sända debatter. Konstruktionen av Vänsterideologi ställs sedan i förhållande till teorin om Ideologiernas Död kontra teorin om Vänsterns Pånyttfödelse..

Hur kan ett klädesplagg som betyder ?tillbakadragenhet? väcka så starka känslor? Det här är en etnologisk studie om socialistfeministers normsystem och sociala kategoriseringar. Informanters berättelser om det samhälle de växte upp i och det samhälle de lever i idag, hur det formar och förklarar en föreställning om kvinnan i hijab. Med hjälp av postkolonial diskurs analyseras synen på jämställdhet och frihet. Den föreställda kvinnan i hijab kan inte komma att intervjuvas eftersom hon är just en föreställning.

The purpose of this essay is to analyze the ideological development of the former communist parties and the contemporary left-wing socialist parties of the Nordic countries. It is aimed at the two decades that have passed since the collaps of the Berlin wall and the parties at hand are; the Norwegian Sosialistisk Venstre, the Danish Socialistisk Folkeparti, the Swedish Vänsterpartiet and the Finnish Vasemmistoliitto. Since the 1960´s these parties have undergone major ideological changes with reference to a widening of their political agenda to an inclusion of democratic ideals as well as the new ideologies of feminism and ecologism. Thus reforming them into modern left-wing socialist parties at different times. The main hypothesis is formulated from the idea that there must be a connection between the startingpoint of reformation and the degree of modernism/traditionalism they show today.

I detta arbete undersöks det ideologiska meningserbjudandet inom temat samhällsekonomi i samhällskunskapsböcker för gymnasieskolan. Syftet är att ta reda på om det finns en ideologireproduktion i läromedel och i så fall vilka ideologier som företräds, samt att jämföra dessa perspektiv i en internationell kontext mellan tyska och svenska läroböcker. Undersökningen sker genom ideologianalys och en kvalitativ textanalys genomförs med hjälp av idealtypskonstruktioner av de tre klassiska ideologierna konservatism, liberalism och Socialism. Resultatet visar att läroböckerna innehåller ideologifragment där de liberala och socialistiska perspektiven dominerar. Det finns fler likheter än olikheter mellan de tyska och svenska läroböckerna, men de svenska läroböckerna har en något mer socialistisk ideologireproduktion och de tyska en mer liberal.

The material I have analysed is writings by Mao and Stalin, in a wide range from leaflets to orders to the armies of the states of China and the Soviet Union. The attitude towards women generally was not unified in the world during the time for Mao and Stalin. In many countries the women was intended to take care of the children and the home, not be active in working and fighting.

This thesis is a study of social movements and their possibilities to effect politics by infuencing values in society through framing. I've looked upon social movements from a functionalistic-structuralistic perspective, as if they were carriers of values from people that otherwise won't be represented in the political life. The values that the social movements are struggling for can affect both the opinion and the decision-makers since the social movements in an active way are trying ti influence the society. The thesis examines the political opportunities that social movements hav to mobilise and grow. I have looked at different factors that either improve or make the political opportunities worse.
