Family centres are established to serve families with children and the personnel usually consists of units of social-workers, preschool staff, paediatric nurses and midwives. The purpose of the study was to examine the social-workers preventive work with families at the family centre. To fulfil the purpose, a qualitative interview with five social-workers was conducted. The theoretical framework referred to attachment and empowerment theory. The results of the study showed that the main part of the work consists of giving advice and support to parents.

Syftet med arbetet har varit att få en fördjupad bild av vad begreppet EQ, emotionell intelligens handlar om. Följande två frågor har använts: Vad är EQ? Hur ser lärare på begreppet EQ och arbetet med barns sociala och emotionella utveckling? Litteraturgenomgången innehåller förutom de fem grundpelarna inom EQ, också en del allmänna tankar runt begreppet, samt hur skolans roll i barnens utveckling ser ut och vad Lpo-94 säger oss. Den senare delen av arbetet består av en sammanställning av fyra kvalitativa djupintervjuer gjorda med grundskollärare som arbetarmed EQ i skolan. Min slutsats är att arbetet med EQ bör genomsyra och ingå som en naturlig grundtanke i dagens skolarbete.

Miljöundervisning har funnits länge och idag är det fokus på hållbar utveckling som har sitt ursprung från 1970- och 1980-talet. Det är ett begrepp har kritiserats av många för sin komplexitet. Hållbar utveckling har fått mer utrymme i den nyutformade kursplanen för kursen naturkunskap 1b i och med den nya läroplanen Gy11. Hur väl anpassade är då de nya läroböckerna för syfte och centralt innehåll för kursen naturkunskap 1b inom området hållbar utveckling? För att utföra undersökningen har de fem aktuella läroböckerna för kursen naturkunskap 1b lästs i fem omgångar, en analys av textens innehåll, frågor och illustrationer har utförts.

Social insatsgrupp är en strukturerad samverkan mellan i första hand polis, socialtjänst och skola med målen att förhindra nyrekrytering av ungdomar till kriminella grupperingar samt att underlätta avhopp från kriminella grupperingar. The aim of this study was to describe how male social workers who work in the section for children and family in one municipality in southern Sweden, experience that their gender influences their daily work. The main focus is to understand what it means to be a man in the social services department. The first research question was how the male social workers experienced how their gender influenced their contact with children and parents in terms of possibilities and obstacles. The second research question was how the male social workers experienced how their gender influenced their working place in terms of possibilities and obstacles. The third research question was how the male social workers experienced that their gender affected the work with women colleagues.

The purpose with the essay was to study the school and the social welfare personnel respectively along with their perspectives and views on their collaboration in the work with socially exposed children and how the collaboration was formed.To get answers to my questions, I interviewed three teachers and three social welfare secretaries. The questions and the analysis were divided into themes: the collaboration between school and social services now and in the future, development of collaboration, and facilitation and difficulties.When analysing the interviews I found a consensus in some questions. All interviewed agreed on the importance of collaboration for the welfare of the child through continuous meetings. The relationship and dialogue between school and social services was vital. Both teachers and social welfare secretaries found it essential not to be seen as a hidden authority.

Syftet med denna studie var att belysa en gymnasieskolas stöd i ämnet svenska för talrädda elever, och detta gjordes genom intervjuer med fyra stycken lärare på gymnasienivå. Intresset grundade sig först och främst i det faktum att social fobi är ett vanligt problem bland ungdomar i Sverige och att det är i ungdomen som fobi för sociala sammanhang utvecklas. En del av social fobi är talrädsla, och gentemot vad läroplanen i svenska för gymnasieskolan säger om det muntliga språkets betydelse för människan och dennes utveckling, problematiserades den talrädda elevens förutsättningar för lärande och utveckling. Perspektiven som studien har utgått ifrån handlar inte om problematiken kring social fobi, utan om det demokratiska perspektivet och det faktum att gymnasieskolan vilar på en demokratisk grund, där alla elever bör få möjlighet att utveckla sin talförmåga och förmågan att våga göra sin röst hörd. Det sociokulturella perspektivet ligger också till grund för studien, där det muntliga språket, kommunikation, spelar en betydande roll för människans lärande och kunskapsutveckling, och i förståelse för sig själv och sin omvärld.

The purpose of this essay was a follow-up of four female drug abusers with several mental problems ten years after my initial meeting with them at Korsaröds Behandlingshem. Using a qualitative method and interviews with the women, knowledge was obtained regarding their current vital conditions and their subjective experiences of the treatment at Korsaröd. Their perspective on the ethical as well as their desired relationship with staff within social services was also accounted for. When contacted the women lived a content and drug free life in their own flats. The women stayed at Korsaröd approximately five years, and they said that without the treatment they would not be alive today.

This study discloses the responsibility of social work for the Swedish welfare state respective deacons in the Swedish protestant church, which roll the Swedish protestant church have in the existent welfare and also if deacons experience any expectations and how these expectations in that case are expressed.The aim of this study was to investigate the relationbetween deacons working within the Swedish protestant church and social work, as it appears for professional deacons. The method of investigating the questions raised by the aim of this study has been qualitative analysis of answers derived from six deacons working in different workplaces. The data derived from these interviews was then analysed through the theory of Gösta Esping-Andersen about welfare states and also through background research and earlier science research about the social work within the Swedish protestant church and other social work. The result of the study show that the welfare state in Sweden has the comprehensive responsibility for the citizens. Deacons working within the Swedish protestant church does not have the same responsibility.

Syftet med studien var att skapa en förståelse för hur pedagogerna på fritidshem främjar barns sociala utveckling. I styrdokument och litteratur om fritidshemmets roll tas det upp hur arbete ska främja utveckling hos individer, men sällan hur det ser ut i verkligheten.
