This thesis is a study of social movements and their possibilities to effect politics by infuencing values in society through framing. I've looked upon social movements from a functionalistic-structuralistic perspective, as if they were carriers of values from people that otherwise won't be represented in the political life. The values that the social movements are struggling for can affect both the opinion and the decision-makers since the social movements in an active way are trying ti influence the society. The thesis examines the political opportunities that social movements hav to mobilise and grow. I have looked at different factors that either improve or make the political opportunities worse.

The purpose of this paper was to discuss stigma and stigmatisation in relation to social policy and social work. By discussing welfare systems in social policy I wanted to see if there could be any connection between social policy and stigma. I used case studies of hearing impaired adults to give examples of how the stigma processes work. By connecting the stigma and the social policy theories with the case studies I wanted to see how the social policy could affect the stigma processes or vice versa.In the paper the concept of stigma has been described and discussed, foremost using the theories of Erving Goffman. I have also discussed the welfare system and the connection between residual systems and stigma.

Corporate Social Responsiblity is today a well known concept in the business world. The concept contains responsibility and sustainability for those who chose to work with Corporate Social Responsibility and the three responsibility areas within the concept. Responsibility and sustainability is of importance, no matter what core business a corporation has. The responsibility goes both out from the corporation, to take care of the surrounding society and the environment. The responsibility also concerns the corporation interal, aiming for a sustainable work enivornment and good working conditions.

Metod: Vi har utfört en enkätundersökning för att kunna få en uppfattning av hur Lisebergs kunder anser att säkerhetsarbetet fungerar. För att även undersöka hur säkerhetskommunikationen förmedlas till turisten valde vi att genomföra deltagande observationer. För att fånga Lisebergs syn på hur turisten uppfattar och påverkas av säkerhetsarbetet har vi valt att göra en kvalitativ intervju med den marknadsansvarige på Liseberg.

I uppsatsen intervjuas: samordnare, metodutvecklare och boendestödjare om sin syn på social dokumentation och om hur arbetet går till på deras arbetsplats. Social dokumentation handlar om att dokumentera vid handläggning och vid genomförande inom verksamheter styrda enligt SoL, LSS, LVU och LVM. Uppsatsens syfte är att visa på olika sätt att se på den sociala dokumentationen inom fältet boendestöd och att exemplifiera vad social dokumentation kan vara. Resultatet visar att social dokumentation sker i ett sammanhang och variationen mellan olika boendestöd är stor. Uppsatsen exemplifierar olika aspekter av dokumentationen genom att beskriva dokumentationen med beslut, genomförandeplan, uppföljning av insats, förbättringsåtgärder och visa på den sociala dokumentationens potential..

How do you do co-operation between government agencies? It is a wide spread view that there can be quite a few hitches in co-operation between agencies. In later years this idea has spread to the media where there has been negative coverage of the social service agencies. This generally applies to cases where children suffer because the right assistance takes too long to co-ordinate or does not get co-ordinated at all between schools, healthcare and social services. The social welfare law dictates that it is the social welfare office duty to co-ordinate the government agencies for the child?s best interest.

Our paper is targeting mainly students, but also all other people interested in social work with children. The purpose of our study was to investigate how the social workers experience and handle their work with children, who have been exposed to sexual abuse, and what kind of support and guidance the social workers are offered, in order to handle their working situation. We chose to perform a qualitative study, by the use of interviews, since we found it to be the most appropriate way to gather the information. Our conclusion is that the work with these issues is emotionally burdensome and requires a great commitment, however it is essential for the social workers to maintain a certain distance to their work, in order not to influence their personal lives. It is through experience and knowledge that the social workers learn how to handle their working situation. We also learned that although the work with sexual abuse against children gave birth to different emotions of the social worker, the social workers feel satisfaction with their work, by helping the exposed children. We hope that our paper will inspire and encourage to further studies in the area, since there is still much to be explored. .

Denna problematik skall dock inte förlöjligas utan måste sättas i relation till de omständigheter som skapat den.De tidigare socialistiskt präglade staterna har varit tvungna att anpassa sig till markandsekonomin med förändrade efterfrågemönster och nya konkurrenssituationer. Dessa förhållanden kan verka självklara för ett västeuropeiskt land, men för ett post- kommunistiskt land där marknadsföring och destinationsutveckling i princip inte existerat, var de här förutsättningarna något nytt.

The focus of this thesis is on social workers? knowledge in assessing and making decisions in child welfare cases. The primary aim is to identify what skills or knowledge social workers find most useful within child welfare agencies in Swedish municipalities. Six different types of knowledge, social policy and the approach of child welfare cases are perspectives considered in the analysis. The interviews with social workers were held in three agencies in southern Sweden, in 2014.

The purpose of this study was to examine knowledge within the social services. We narrowed the study down from general knowledge to scientifically produced knowledge and how the social workers relate to such knowledge. We aimed to see how the social workers perceive different knowledge and how they relate to the different sources of knowledge. We also examined the different factors that will enable and motivate social workers to stay updated with scientifically produced knowledge that is relevant to their work. We also examined what limits the ability or motivation for renewing ones knowledge.

The purpose of this study was to examine social workers working process in social assistance with focus on the child´s perspective. We were interested in learning about the existence of variations in approach and attitude between two municipalities. Question to be answered about what methods and approaches used by social workers to include the child´s perspective in the process of social assistance. Another question to be answered about what the manner in which social workers took into account the child´s perspective when the families apply for social assistance in relation to the operations and requirement. To fulfill the purpose, qualitative methods were used.

Background: Corporations are established and organized in order to create economic values for their owners and the main aim of every business enterprise is to be profitable and satisfy the financial expectations of their shareholders. However, corporate social responsibility focuses on the ethical aspects of corporate business in order to achieve the balance between the profitability and social responsibility. Nongovernmental organizations through their activities promote the respect for human rights and environmental care within the corporate world. Purpose and Scope: To make an in-depth study about the role of nongovernmental organizations regarding corporate social responsibility in order to increase the understanding of corporate social responsibility. Methodology: We used literature research for our thesis and we analysed the secondary data related to the corporate social responsibility.

Uppsatsen handlar om turismutvecklingen i gränsregionen vid den polsk-slovakiska gränsen, där Pieniny nationalparker som finns på var sin sida av den nationella gränsen uppmärksammas. I studien ställs frågor om möjligheter att utveckla turismen i en region mellan två länder, vilka restriktioner begränsar denna verksamhet och i vilken utsträckning har utvecklats samarbete som gäller turismfrågor mellan Polen och Slovakien.I uppsatsen används ett relevant teoretiskt material om regioner, statliga gränser, gränsöverskridande samarbete, förbindelserna mellan nationalparker och turismen samt turismplaneringen i skyddade områden. Det empiriska materialet om ämnet samlas in genom observation på fältet och intervjuer på båda Pieniny nationalparkerna i gränsregionen mellan Polen och Slovakien samt på Ekonomidepartementet i Slovakiens huvudstad Bratislava.Efter en utfört analys kommer författaren till följande slutsatser:turismutvecklingens möjligheter i gränsregionen finns på grund av två Pieniny nationalparker som finns på båda sidorna av gränsen och utgör ett odelbart ekologiskt system; tillhörande EU och Schengen frigör rörligheten av människor i gränsområdet; transporter och kommunikationer har möjligheten att utvecklas i samband med turismutvecklingen vid gränsen,turismutvecklingens restriktioner i gränsregionen innebär den utspridda organiseringen av turismplaneringen; den känsliga naturen i nationalparkerna kräver en särskild hänsyn inom turismutvecklingens process; en stor andel av privatägdmark i nationalparkerna försvårar planeringen; brist på tillgänglighet bromsar turismens utveckling; olika lagar i Polen och Slovakien komplicerar en enhetlig turismutveckling i gränsregionen; olika valutor i Polen och Slovakien besvärar turister som kommer på besök,samarbete inom turismplaneringen i den polsk-slovakiska gränsregionen har påbörjats, men fortfarande befinner sig i en utvecklingsfas.

Problem: Småortshotell har andra förutsättningar än storstadshotell för att kunna överleva. Det gäller både distansen till samt utbudsnivån i hotellen. Den geografiska placeringen gör att resenärer inte passerar dem utan gästerna kommer till småortshotellen för att uppleva deras utbud. Syfte: Vårt syfte är att undersöka hur småortshotell strategiskt arbetar med imageskapande ur marknadsföringsperspektiv. Frågeställningar: Vilken image vill småortshotellen förmedla?Vilka samarbetsformer har småortshotellen?Vilka underliggande betydelser förmedlar småortshotellen? Metod: Vi har använt oss av kvalitativa metoder som består av två delar, datainsamlingsmetoder och semiotikdokumentanalys.

This essay has examined how the local community is involved with the tourism development on the San Blas islands and how it effects the destinations development. The method of choice has been a qualitative interview with an operator that offers trips to the destination. Also there has been made a literature study where previous research about the San Blas and the subjects of choice is being presented. During the writing process of this essay it has become obvious to us that the local community (Kuna Yala) is very much involved in everything that concerns the destination. We can thereby establish that the local community of San Blas can be placed on the top step of Arnsteins (1969) ?Ladder of Participation?.
