Konkurrensen mellan regioner har triggat det varumärkesbyggande som idag är en stor del av många regioners utvecklingsarbete.Turismen och resandet ökar konstant. Även det allmänna intresset för hållbar utveckling och ett mer utbrett miljöarbete tar fart. Tillsammans ses hållbar turism och ekoturism som de viktigaste faktorerna i framtidens resande. Lockandet av just turism med hjälp av destinationsutveckling blir ofta en förlängning av ett varumärkesbyggande för en region.Halmstad är Sveriges 18:e största kommun med cirka 93 000 invånare. Stränderna och sommaren har gjort staden till en stor allmänt känd turistort.

Denna studie undersöker frågan om vem som anses vara turisten, d v s, vem turist subjektet är, hur denna föreställs i turismstudier och turismnäringen, samt varför. Intresse för denna fråga väcktes av personliga erfarenheter. Det har att göra med hur jag inte fick samma uppmärksamhet som andra svenska turister både när jag turistade i mitt eget land (Turkiet) och även när jag turistade i Sverige handlar om varför jag inte ansågs vara turist och behandlades annorlunda. Varför och vad är de bakomliggande aspekter som urskiljer mig från svenskar (västerlänningar) som turist subjekt? Det är detta som föranledde huvudfrågan för denna uppsats: vem är eller anses vara en turist?Ytterligare en anledning till varför jag valde att undersöka frågan är att jag ville veta huruvida ?invandrare? i Värmland uppfattas som turist subjekt eller inte.

Problem: Sveriges mikroföretag står för en företagskategori som tidigare har fått mindre uppmärksamhet. Denna grupp av företag har speciella förutsättningar för marknadsföring, exempelvis tid och pengar, vilket kan begränsa deras möjligheter att nå ut till kunden. Syfte: Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka hur familjeägda mikroföretag inom turismbranschen, i södra Sverige, arbetar med marknadsföring. Metod: Vårt tillvägagångssätt under denna uppsats är två kvalitativa metoder där vårt empiriska material består av intervjuer samt observationer. De teoretiska utgångspunkterna i denna uppsats har huvudsakligen varit den utökade marknadsföringsmixen, som har kombinerats med modellen mål med relationsmarknadsföring.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att förklara innebörden av begreppet ekoturism samt beskriva hur landskapsarkitektens kompetens kan tillämpas vid utformning av ekoturismanläggningar. Genom litteraturstudier har vi utrett begreppets betydel-se. Vi beskriver ekoturism kortfattat ur ett internationellt perspektiv och mer utförligt ur ett svenskt perspektiv. Ekoturism är en form av turism som sker i naturmiljöer och har som syfte att bevara natur och kultur, gynna den lokala eko-nomin samt ge en ökad kunskap och förståelse för besöksmålet. Det finns dock en problematik med ekoturism då turism i naturmiljö innebär motsättningar och det kan vara svårt att tillfredställa turister samtidigt som platsens natur bevaras.

Stena Line är ett av världens största färjerederier och de har ett stort internationellt samarbete.Den här uppsatsen syftar till att skapa bättre förståelse för sociala effekter av Stena Lines etablering i hamnstaden Gdynia. För att uppnå vårt syfte lade vi fokus på följande sociala effekter: lokal stolthet och gemenskap, samhällets värderingar och tradition och interkulturell förståelse.För att kunna ta reda på vilka sociala effekter som Stena Lines närvaro skapar i Gdynia har vi i föreliggande uppsats valt att undersöka olika institutioner som är förknippade med turism. Vi valde de platser som ofta besöks av skandinaviska turister. Studien har genomförts genom kvalitativa intervjuer. Den belyser olika intressenters perspektiv på staden Gdynia.

This study examines the connection between social capital and involvement within voluntary associations; involvement is defined either as being a member in an association or a member who has some kind of assignment in an association. The study also examines if there is a difference between two social economic groups regarding the attainment and transformation of social capital through being involved in a voluntary association.Social capital is defined as social trust and the willingness of collective action.The result of the research shows there is a slight connection between the involvement in voluntary associations and social capital. It shows that people who are members of a voluntary association often have higher social capital than those who are not members of any voluntary association at all. The study also shows that there is a difference in attainment of social capital between those who have some kind of assignment in a voluntary association and general members.When studying social capital and involvement in voluntary associations it is also of interest to take social class into the analysis, because the study shows that people with a lower education had increased social capital when they were members in an association compared to the members with a higher education..

The purpose of our study is to describe and understand whether, and if so, how social workers in school and in social services construct computer gaming adolescents as a social problem. We chose social workers who encounter adolescents with different problems. We have conducted qualitative interviews with vignettes to capture the social workers' reasoning about computer gaming adolescents and how they handle this in their work. The study shows that all social workers we interviewed had encountered adolescents with troubling computer gaming habits. In the study, all agree that computer gaming becomes a problem when it leads to deviant behaviour such as not going to school, staying up all night and so on.

Vi har i vår uppsats funnit att den verkliga situationen för ett destinationsutvecklingsorgan som är i ett initialt skede av en eventsatsning är komplexare än vad den normativa teorin beskriver. Vår fallstudie påvisar tydligt att destinationsutvecklingsorgan inte alltid har strategier, mål och visioner för destinationsutveckling eller för hur de ska gå till väga i ett eventbeslut. Våra resultat tyder på att de som inte har några strategier som kan ligga till grund för sådana beslut styrs av irrationella ad hoc-beslut. För Region Skåne anser vi att det var ?Chansen? som var det primära motivet till att satsa på America?s Cup.

The purpose of the paper is through a touristic view to see how the zoos have developed to modern zoss and interview Djurens Rätt and Skansen to see their view on "animal welfare". Another part of the paper is to see what the public thinks of animal welfare and if it's crucial when they choose a destination. We used a survey to see if the public has been influenced by any media in the aspect of their view of zoos. By seeing the evolution of zoos to the modern zoo, we can see how society had the power to influence. .

The aim of this study is to examine social workers' and social work students' attitudes towards people living with hiv in Sweden. I will also examine if there is a connection between knowledge and attitudes. The questions at issue are how social workers' and social work students' attitudes can assume to influence on their professional practice and what causes can affect their attitudes towards people living with hiv. The study is based on a qualitative method. The methods have been: conversational interviews with five social workers, who work with family issues and integration, and a focused group interview with four social work students.

The aim of this study was to understand the contact between foster homes and social workers, by doing a comparison of the social workers and the foster homes experiences of the cooperation that is between them. We started from three main questions to get an answer to our aim, how the foster homes and the social workers experience the organization of the foster care in the Social Service as an impact of the cooperation, what does the foster homes and the social workers experience as a important fact of a successful placement and finally, how does the foster homes and the social workers experience the supporting and controlling contact that is between them. To get our results we based our study on interviews whit four foster homes and whit four social workers. The analysis was based on one theoretical perspective, Skaus (2007) analytical approach for power and help. As a conclusion we have found out, that the organization of the Social Service has significance for the contact between social workers and foster homes.

The study aims to gain insight into how social workers perceive their psychosocial work environment and examine whether this effects the performance of their duties. The study mainly addresses the shortcomings of the psychosocial work environment of Social Services and the implications it entails for social workers health and wellbeing. The psychosocial work environment includes physical and psychological factors therefore the study's interpretive framework consists of organizational theoretical and social psychological concepts and previous research on the subject. We examined the organizational and social psychological connections to social workers perception of their work environment with a qualitative approach. The empirical data was collected through interviews with four social workers in a municipality in central Sweden using a semi-structured interview guide.

The purpose of doing this research except for educational reasons is to show significant effects that make motivational work successful. The choice of subject we decided out of experience from the term of practise. The description of the subject is from the social workers angle of approach. The method we used is a qualitative study with semi structured interviews. We have looked at three different fields of social work from the view of six social workers, two from each field.

Research about social support and social networks has mostly concerned the impact on a person?s wellbeing and health. However an aspect largely neglected is how social support within the social networks can affect the process of giving up a drug abuse. The purpose of this paper is to contribute to a better understanding of what role the social support within different relationships can have on the process of giving up drug abuse. Furthermore the aim is to examine how a self-help group can provide social support in the transitional period after leaving a drug abuse.
