Ett examensarbete bestående av utformningen av en låg- och mellanstadieskola på en tomt i Arninge, Täby. Projektet är realistiskt, här skall det byggas en skola och jag har utgått från det program jag har fått av Täby Kommun. Mitt arbete har handlat om att skapa en skola utifrån de behov som skapats av den moderna pedagogiken men också med utgångspunkt från mina egna minnen och känslor kring de första skolåren. Skolan är indelad i olika avdelningar som kan sättas samman två och två, vilket är anpassat efter just dagens behov som skapats av den moderna skolan. De lokaler som används av alla elever i skolan finns separat, av samma skäl.

This report tries to discuss the concept of social sustainability; what it means and how residential development can be made more socially sustainable. This is done by interviewing several and various representatives in JM AB, the municipality of Uppsala and residents of Åriket to explore how JM AB as a housing developer and the municipality are working with issues regarding social sustainability and what the residents in one of the new housing projects themselves think of these issues. The result of these interviews will be compared and analyzed with the prospect of finding common variables and hopefully ways of improvement.This will result in our own recommendations of areas of improvement either by broad initiatives or specific actions to increase the social sustainability. Areas such as meeting places, sustainable functions and joint efforts between different parties. During the work on the report we come in contact with several other areas of interest that we are not able to process ourselves and therefore recommend them for future studies..

The purpose of this essay was to study how school welfare officers cooperate with other school staff, regarding children in vulnerable positions, and how the school staff apply their obligation to report to the social services if they have concerns regarding children at risk, according to the law of social service, SoL.We have especially focused on questions concerning cooperation, both between the school staff, and between the school and the social services. We also wanted to identify some of the restraining factors and dilemmas that could come up during the process of reporting children at risk to the social services. The study was based on qualitative interviews with ten school welfare officers from the same municipality.Our conclusions of our study are that there exists a well-developed cooperation between several organizational levels, including the school welfare officers, other professions in the schools and the social services. There were though opinions among the school welfare officers that they wanted to increase their professional claims in relation to the school nurse, due to their larger competence in talking to children. Regarding the formal responsibility to report to the social services, a majority of the school welfare officers felt they had access to the support they needed from both their principal and the students healthcare-team, and that they were not left alone in the process..

Syftet med detta arbete har varit att undersöka hur lärare i förskola och skolans tidigare år förhåller sig till lek och lärande. Jag vill också undersöka om hur de uttrycker sig och resonerar kring lek och lärande som en resurs och ett redskap i undervisningen och samlingarna. Jag vill även se om lärarnas förhållningsätt till lek och lärande skiljer sig åt i de olika yrkesgrupperna förskola och skola. Jag gjorde en kvalitativ intervjustudie med lärarna i förskolan och skolan. Forskning säger att lek är en naturlig del i barnens liv och att de genom lek för bearbeta det de har lärt sig. De kan också genom leken få ett ökat självförtroende och de kan genom leken ?prova på? det som kan vara svårt och öva utan att de känner att det blir fel.

Denna undersökning är en analys av hur lärare på konkret didaktiskt sätt kan arbeta med invandrarfientlighet, men framförallt islamofobi i skolan. Resultatet av undersökningen kommer att visa att invandrarfientlighet fortfarande är ett stort problem i Sverige och att både media med internet i spetsen har en stor roll i förmedlandet av denna bild. I skolan är kunskapen om hur man arbetar med denna problematik väldigt bristfällig, speciellt när fokus ligger på islamofobi. Ett antal stiftelser och organisationer arbetar med att få fram mer utbildningsmaterial för lärare som ska förenkla arbetet med denna problematik..

Att skolan är mångkulturell i dagens Sverige, är nog de flesta medvetna om. Islam är den näst största religionen i världen och i Sverige. Syftet med undersökningen är hur ramadan påverkar situationen i skolan bland lärare och elever. Undersökningen är gjord på en högstadieskola i Skåne där en stor andel av eleverna har föräldrar med utländsk härkomst. Jag har valt att göra kvalitativa intervjuer för att respondenterna skulle få möjlighet till att utveckla mer djupgående tankar kring ämnet.

Denna studie syftar till att undersöka om det råder någon skillnad mellan pojkars och flickors uppfattning om friluftsliv inom skolans senare år. I studien har vi använt oss av enkäter, en kvantitativ insamlings metod. Undersökningsgruppen bestod av 154 elever från ett högstadium och ett gymnasium i Luleå kommun varav 87 av dem var pojkar och 67 var flickor. Resultatet av vår studie pekar på att det endast finns en fråga där vi statistisk kan säkerställa att en skillnad mellan könen råder, pojkar tycker att det är för lite friluftsliv i skolan, de vill ha mer friluftsliv i skolan. I övrigt kan vi endast se tendenser till skillnader mellan pojkar, flickor och deras uppfattning om friluftsliv..

The purpose of this study was to examine the resources and barriers that social workers have incorporating the Social Service Act states during meetings with clients, using and developing the client's skills and knowledge, develop their own resources and to promote the use of self-determination. A qualitative study was done by interviewing six social workers working within the in social service?s department for family and individual welfare. Social workers were encouraged to describe and discuss the key aspects of cases that developed positively respectively negatively. Motivation theory, evidence-based practice, empowerment, and expert-expert relationship are the theories and concepts that we used to analyze the material.The study's main conclusion is that the most important prerequisite for positive development of cases is that the social worker emphasizes and stimulates the client's own resources during meetings.

The aim of this study was to examine if the social workers uses their theoretical experiences about their attitudes in their practical work and if their response can raise or reduce the young offenders motivation to change their behaviour. To collect information it was chosen that this study would only concentrate on the social workers opinions.

According to statistics, a significant increase in sickness has occurred in the public sector in recent decades in Sweden. Human therapeutic professions is the area where the illness is most prevalent. The purpose of this study was through a qualitative method and hermeneutic approaches explore how conscious six social workers in the social services are on stress and how they cope with it. Further it investigates and analyzes how these results affect their daily work.One important result due to stress is that the social workers ability to treat their clients is impaired and they are less able to be empathetic. Inadequacy in the work environment leads to a sense of insufficiency by social workers, and a reduced quality of life.

Denna studie undersöker förutsättningarna för den höga graden av upplevd trivsel på Bryggeriets Gymnasium i Malmö, samt hur man ur ett kultursociologiskt perspektiv kan förstå relationen mellan trivsel och skolprestationer i det aktuella fallet. Skolan erbjuder bland annat en skateboardinriktning och skatekulturen har en framträdande roll på skolan.  Undersökningen har därför fokuserat på en grupp skateboardåkare. De elever som deltagit i studien har svarat på en enkät, deltagit i gruppdiskussioner och varit föremål för observationer både i och utanför klassrummet. Resultaten pekar på att orsakerna till den höga graden av trivsel bland eleverna i undersökningen beror dels på att skolans organisatoriska och kollegiala kultur präglas av en tillåtande attityd och handledande lärarroll, och dels att eleverna i och med skatekulturens relativa förenande med skolan har funnit ett sociokulturellt sammanhang där de lättare finner sig tillrätta än i en mer traditionellt präglad skolkontext..

The opinion of social workers towards their work with children and young persons wasstudied in this essay. Even their point of view with reference to the term the child?s bestinterest has being considered and special focus was laid on the social workers attitudestowards media coverage and its criticism towards their work. A qualitative approach was usedconsisted of six interviews. The theoretical frameworks were based on the theory aboutfreedom of action and the theory of social representations.

This thesis discusses and analyses the existence of two different perspectives, a social and a technical one, in Library and Information Science (LIS). Most of the time the division between these perspectives seems to result in research only using either of them. This can be a problem when studying complex phenomena. We therefore see a need for a metatheory that unites the social and the technical. By presenting and analysing all doctoral dissertations published at the Swedish School of Library and Information Science (SSLIS) 1993-2005, we try to detect and critically discuss the dichotomy between the two perspectives.
