The most common preventive and treatment service for children in child welfare services in Sweden is the contact family program. The number of children who are involved in the program has steadily increased. Usually it is a single mother who apply for or is offered this service. The aim with a contact family is that the parent should get respite and that the child should have its network enlarged and sometimes get a male role model.The purpose of this study was to look into how children´s perspective was considered in the contact family process. I have studied the process in order to see how it works and to see to what extent children is participating.

In using a qualitative method have I interviewed six women and six men taking care of their wives respectively husbands suffering from physical disease, disfunction or demental disease. The purpose was to find out whether male and female caretakers were differently influenced in their situation, relationship and in their partners, when they became caretakers of their spouse, depending on what the partner suffered from.The results showed that, when a husband or wife was hit by disease or disfunction, the caretaker was influenced both in the partners situation, the relationship and the role towards the partner. The couple still lived in a close relationship and could communicate. For the carers spouse suffered from a demental disease, there was no communication as before or possibility to remember. The carers also felt the loss of community, nearness and sympathy.

Hälften av försökspersonerna gjorde sina skattningar under omständigheter där jämställdhet betonades och hälften utan detta.Det fanns en signifikant interaktionseffekt mellan sökandens etnicitet och kompetensnivå på hur varm denne uppfattades (p=.002).

The purpose of this paper is to determine the established law and make researches into non-institutional compulsory care (?mellantvång?) paragraph 22 The Care of Young Persons (Special Provisions) Act (from now on called LVU) and examine whether the administration of the law is in harmony with the best interests of the child.This paper combines two methods : traditional judicial method and a social science method. In the juridical part the sources of law have been studied and in the social sciences part semi-structured interviews have been conducted with five respondents. The theoretical framework consists of ideas and theories about the best interests of the child, a concept which is one of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child's core principles.This study shows that the legislator has identified a problem and an existing need and found a solution to this by introducing a non-institutional compulsory care, paragraph 22 LVU. The problem is that Social Services do not make use of the restraint.

The purpose of this essay is to describe and analyze experiences of how the daily rounds and a persons role is changing when you go from being a family member to being a family member as well as being a kinship carer.Essential questions at issue was:- Which feelings are associated to the roll as kinship carer?- What are the motivations for the relative/family member to become a kinship carer?- What is the change of the role like before and after the disease.Six persons have been interviewed on the subject and symbolic interactionism and role theory has been our theoretical perspective. The essay has been related to the ideas of Meads on social interaction and to Goffmans theatre theorem.The result of the essay showed that feelings and motivations as regards to the daily rounds and the role of the kinship carer were individual, where similarities and differences occurred. When ones partner, parent or child got a disease/functional disability it generated in some changes regarding their daily rounds and it led to altering of roles. This is done with interviews and a case study of the social procurement Mitt Gröna Kvarter and its labor effort Boendebyggarna. The theoretical framework used in the thesis consists of public-private partnership and corporate social responsibility. I denna medievetenskapliga uppsats har vi riktat vår uppmärksamhet mot den svenska musikjournalistiken och utifrån ett genusperspektiv undersökt vilka kvinnobilder som manifesteras och hur dessa förändrats över tid. Anslaget har varit hermeneutiskt då vi valt att genomföra en komparativ kvalitativ innehållsanalys av de två musikmagasinen Pop och Sonic där tidsspannet varit nio år. Analysen har visat på en skev genusrepresentation där kvinnan marginaliseras från en manligt könad musikbransch och förvägras den manliga friheten då hon förpassas till den privata sfären. Även om kvinnan på senare år tillmätts ett större utrymme i musikmagasinen så uppvägs detta genom att hennes prestationer förringas i gestaltningen. Sammanfattningsvis har vi att göra med en androcentrisk musikjournalistik som reproducerar en hegemoni där mannen blir till norm och kvinnan får nöja sig med en närvaro där hennes framgång är beroende av mannen.Kvinnobilder i förändr.

Previous studies of stress and coping regarding urban bus drivers describe an unhealthy occupation in areas of psychological and physiological factors. In the present study a social constructionist approach was used to investigate Swedish urban bus drivers' constructs of stress and coping regarding passengers. Semi-structered interviews were performed with ten bus drivers, nine males and one female. The data was transcribed verbatim and analysed with the program QSR NUD*IST.Three main themes where found; passanger related context, coping strategies and promoting circumstances. Earlier psychological research on stress and its complex of problems has identified several factors which have shown a relation with the occurrence of a poorer mental ill-health. In this study some of these factors have been examined in 69 police officers from Stockholm, Lund and Helsingborg. In the study, police officers with high and low self reported ill-health were compared considering trait anxiety, alexithymia and posttraumatic stress symptoms.The results showed that police officers with poorer mental ill health had a significant higher degree of trait anxiety, the dimension of alexithymia difficulty identifying feelings and the PTSD-dimension avoidance and hyperarousal. The results also showed several positive relations among the variables that divided the groups. On account of the last-mentioned the results will above all be discussed in an integrating perspective..

Syftet med studien var att beskriva kvinnors känslor och upplevelser samt de attityder som möter kvinnorna då en återgång till arbetsliv blir aktuellt efter föräldraledighet. Frågeställningarna som besvaras är vilka känslor kvinnorna upplever samt vilka attityder som möter kvinnorna då återgång i arbetsliv är ett faktum. Studien har ett fenomenologisk samt hermeneutiskt angreppssätt och fem kvinnor har intervjuats där deltagarna var mellan 25-39 år. Deltagarna har valts ut med kriteriet att de varit föräldralediga men återinträtt i arbete. Resultatet innehåller en beskrivning av att kvinnorna upplever en inre konflikt då den dagliga separationen från barnet blir vardag.

This study examined some contradictive results in a report from the Swedish board of Integration. The contradiction was concerning the Swedish populations dismissive judgments of experience a shared ground of values between the Swedish society and those witch are generally held within Islam. These dismissive judgments were given at the same time as the population reported to have a lacking knowledge of Islam in general. To test for psychological aspects of these contradictions, the analysis was based on the theoretical ground of Social Identity Theory and Theory of Attributions. The study used an existing survey that examines people´s estimations of their own and other members of society´s fulfilling of democratic values.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att ta reda på hur lärare som har blivit mobbade som barn anser att förebyggande mobbningsarbete bör bedrivas. Den undersöker även hur deras utsatthet som barn påverkat deras lärarroll. Undersökningen är gjord genom kvalitativa intervjuer med två lärare och två lärarstudenter. En av slutsatserna är att lärarna påverkats mycket av sin bakgrund vad gäller deras sätt att förhålla sig till både starka och svaga elever. De har generellt svårare för att relatera till elever som påminner om de personer som utsatte dem som barn.

The aim of this study is to illuminate social worker?s perception of social class within the Swedish social service system. This study therefor examine if social class contributes to the production and reproduction of the client and what impact social class has on the interaction between client and social workers. The study was conducted with qualitative semi-structured interviews with social workers from three different departments of social service. The theoretical approach is Yeheskel Hasenfeld?s theory about moral practices in welfare organisations, Michael Lipsky and Roine Johansson?s theories about client construction and Pierre Bourdieu?s class theory.
