A Social Enterprise is a business that features a mixture of characteristics that originates from the third and private sector. A general conception of Social Enterprises is that they aim to improve social welfare by the use of sustainable business models. The mixture of social and business features has created ambiguity about how to define Social Enterprises. The purpose of this study is to clarify Swedish Social Enterprises as a phenomenon and to examine antagonism that arises from mixing the two different sets of organisational characteristics. This is achieved by conducting a qualitative study of ten Swedish companies that the market considers to be Social Enterprises.
Med elevens ögon: resan från grundskola till särskola
Today in Sweden the concept of the greyzone students that stands between the nine-year compulsory school and special school for mentally retarded children is recognised in different studies and reports. It is not obvious for this group of students to decide which category best can comply with their needs. Should they go in nine-year compulsory school or special school for mentally retarded children? In the last years there have been alarming rapports about how the share of students in special school increases. A study shows that the greyzone students are a group that distinctly is on the increase in the special school.

Att vara elev på en resursskola : Barns uppfattningar och erfarenheter av sin skolgång
I carried out six interviews in a "resource-school". The pupils were between ten and fifteen years old and they were all boys with a conduct disorder. The purpose of my study was to find out how the pupils experience school and with that starting point I wanted to contribute to the understanding and the importance of the "resource-school" for the pupils' development. My main questions have been to investigate what the pupils recall from their earlier schools, what they consider to be the difference between their current school and earlier schools, why do they attend this school, do they see it like a punishment or a possibility and how do they see their future. One conclusion I got to in my study was the pupils' relation to the staff. Here they found reliable grown ups with whom they created a positive relation to, which gave them better possiblities to develop and grow stronger.
Gas som bedövningsmetod vid slakt av slaktkyckling :
Electrical stunning is the method that has been used in Sweden to stun broilers prior to slaughter. However, for reasons of animal welfare and meat quality, research has been made in the EU to develop new stunning methods. Gas stunning is now regarded as the best alternative. In this study literature has been reviewed with focus on different gas stunning systems and observations have been made at two different slaughterhouses regarding animal welfare before, during and directly after stunning. At one slaughter plant carbondioxide was used in a two-stage system where the birds were standing on a conveyer belt during the stunning procedure.

"Man borde kanske prata med de man tycker illa om" - tre elevgruppers arbete mot rasism
The aim was to investigate three anti-racist groups of pupils, their thoughts about respectively their work against racism. The aim was divided into the following questions: - What is, according to the groups, racism and what does the situation look like at the schools? - What does the dynamics in the group look like? - What courses of action are the groups using and how can they improve their work? - How can the groups be described according to the terms work group and basic assumption group? To answer these questions I made three group interviews, one with each group. I analysed the results partly according to earlier research and literature, partly according to the group theory of WR Bion, using the terms work group and basic assumption group. My conclusion is that the word racism seems to have been affected by inflation, since the groups include bullying as well as anti-racists.

In captivity cheetahs become chronically ill and also develop stereotypic behaviours. Neither of these are problems in wild populations and both can be linked to stress in captivity.
