Bakgrund: Att åldras bidrar till nedsatt psykisk och fysisk funktion. Känslor som kan uppkomma är ensamhet, oro och nedstämdhet vilket ofta leder till minskad social och fysisk aktivitet samt minskad livslust. Husdjur kan bidra till mening och sammanhang och på så vis på många sätt ge ett ökat välbefinnande hos äldre.Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva vårdpersonalens upplevelser av vårdhundars påverkan på äldres hälsa.Metod: En kvalitativ intervjustudie har gjorts. Informanterna var 7 stycken undersköterskor från två olika boenden i södra Sverige. Datat analyserades med en kvalitativ manifest innehållsanalys.Resultat: Resultatet visar två kategorier; ?Hälsofrämjande verkan? och ?motverkar ett hälsofrämjande?.

Social insatsgrupp är en strukturerad samverkan mellan i första hand polis, socialtjänst och skola med målen att förhindra nyrekrytering av ungdomar till kriminella grupperingar samt att underlätta avhopp från kriminella grupperingar. Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur representanter från myndigheterna polisen och socialtjänsten i samverkansprojektet social insatsgrupp i Södertälje kommun definierar unga i riskzonen. The aim of this study was to describe how male social workers who work in the section for children and family in one municipality in southern Sweden, experience that their gender influences their daily work. The main focus is to understand what it means to be a man in the social services department. The first research question was how the male social workers experienced how their gender influenced their contact with children and parents in terms of possibilities and obstacles. The second research question was how the male social workers experienced how their gender influenced their working place in terms of possibilities and obstacles. The third research question was how the male social workers experienced that their gender affected the work with women colleagues.

The purpose with the essay was to study the school and the social welfare personnel respectively along with their perspectives and views on their collaboration in the work with socially exposed children and how the collaboration was formed.To get answers to my questions, I interviewed three teachers and three social welfare secretaries. The questions and the analysis were divided into themes: the collaboration between school and social services now and in the future, development of collaboration, and facilitation and difficulties.When analysing the interviews I found a consensus in some questions. All interviewed agreed on the importance of collaboration for the welfare of the child through continuous meetings. The relationship and dialogue between school and social services was vital. Both teachers and social welfare secretaries found it essential not to be seen as a hidden authority.

The purpose of this essay was a follow-up of four female drug abusers with several mental problems ten years after my initial meeting with them at Korsaröds Behandlingshem. Using a qualitative method and interviews with the women, knowledge was obtained regarding their current vital conditions and their subjective experiences of the treatment at Korsaröd. Their perspective on the ethical as well as their desired relationship with staff within social services was also accounted for. When contacted the women lived a content and drug free life in their own flats. The women stayed at Korsaröd approximately five years, and they said that without the treatment they would not be alive today.

This study discloses the responsibility of social work for the Swedish welfare state respective deacons in the Swedish protestant church, which roll the Swedish protestant church have in the existent welfare and also if deacons experience any expectations and how these expectations in that case are expressed.The aim of this study was to investigate the relationbetween deacons working within the Swedish protestant church and social work, as it appears for professional deacons. The method of investigating the questions raised by the aim of this study has been qualitative analysis of answers derived from six deacons working in different workplaces. The data derived from these interviews was then analysed through the theory of Gösta Esping-Andersen about welfare states and also through background research and earlier science research about the social work within the Swedish protestant church and other social work. The result of the study show that the welfare state in Sweden has the comprehensive responsibility for the citizens. Deacons working within the Swedish protestant church does not have the same responsibility.

We live in a society that has changed rapidly in recent years. The Swedish welfare state identity consisted of structures that had been formed from an emancipatory project. Today, these structures seem to have been erased and replaced by a different form of society. When a society is changing it affects the political, social and economic levels.In this social change Social Democracy seems to have lost its hegemonic position in society and describes itself as standing in a crisis. An effort to modernize the party has therefore begun.

Den här uppsatsen innehåller en undersökning av skillnader mellan tidningarna Bulletinen och Allt om Mat som är inriktad på hur texter ur tidningarna ger upphov till ideologiska effekter och skapar modelläsare. Den analysmetod som tillämpas är en ideologikritisk analys. Efter genomförd analys kan undersökningen konstatera att de båda tidningarna ger upphov till ideologier som i relation till konsumtionskulturen skiljer dem åt. AbstractDigital media in general and social media in particular are becoming more and more important to businesses across the globe. It is an effective way to reach out to consumers and establish a good relationship with existing customers. Most companies today use digital media in order to market themselves and to establish good public relations. A lot of those companies have also realized the enormous marketing capabilities that social media provides. However, in spite of the plethora of possibilities that comes with social media it can also, in some cases, hinder the companies ? success.

This thesis concerns the subject of social media in the internal communication, how it can function to improve the communication among the coworkers. Good Old has been the web agency of our case study, through them we have gained understanding of the phenomenon. Media and communication theories and interviews have given us the foundation of the thesis.Our conclusion shows that it is beneficial to use social media internally in the type of company that Good Old is. Syftet med studien var att undersöka vilken betydelse den sociala dynamiken har för ett framgångsrikt samtal mellan unga arbetslösa och arbetsförmedlare. Undersökningen bygger på kvalitativ metod och består av genomförda intervjuer och observationer på Arbetsförmedlingen, där sex arbetslösa ungdomar och två arbetsförmedlare responderade. I en institutionaliserad miljö som Arbetsförmedlingen finns en rad regler och riktlinjer att förhålla sig till. Vi var därför intresserade av att ta reda på hur institutionella regler kan harmonisera med individuella önskemål och intressen. Studien genomsyras till stor del av Moira von Wrights (2000) teori om relationellt och punktuellt förhållningssätt där resultatet påvisar att det förra är viktigt för unga arbetslösa då de efterfrågar personligt bemötande där de blir sedda som enskilda individer och får hjälp anpassad efter deras behov. Vi undersökte den övergripande upplevelsen av samtalet med fokus på förhållningssätt, sociala interaktioner och det professionella samtalet.

Society is characterized by patterns of behavior and interaction that is created and recreated inthe interplay between individuality/collectivity and freedom/constraint, thus represents avariety of social issues and social phenomena. One of these phenomena is social supportexchanges and social capital. In order to obtain views on how this might appear in a specificsociety and contribute to the knowledge about social support exchanges and social capital, thisstudy was done with seven families in a village in Nepal. The village and the families gave aview and an example of how it might look in a place where social support exchanges plays acrucial role in this way of living. Through observations and interviews I have tried to make thesocial support exchange areas and meanings visibile.

This thesis sets out to investigate the meaning of ?social sustainability? in a given context.

Accounting firms operate in environments with high competition for graduates and students today expect employers to be present on Facebook and the like. We aim to describe whether two major accounting firms use social media in their graduate recruitment. We chose to do case studies of Grant Thornton and Ernst & Young and how they use social media channels aimed towards graduates. Through a through study of how the two companies communicated through various social media, we concluded that Grant Thornton was significantly better than their larger competitor at social media use. Both companies use Facebook as their main communication channel.

Social movements have long been valuable components of the struggle for a world with true justice. Along with the changing and modernization of society these movements also change, both in their actions as well as in the goals they want to accomplish. Technology is taking a greater part in many aspects of social life, creating new dimensions but also new social divides. This thesis examines how new social movements make themselves visible and affect the world around them through different kinds of networks. For the purpose of this study, we have chosen to study two social movements; the Zapatistas in Mexico, who have become known worldwide for carrying out the first informational revolution, and MoveOn.org, an American grassroots organization that struggles for increased democracy in the US.
