Kvinnor har sedan länge tillbaka presterat bättre än män genom hela deras skolgång. Fler kvinnor än män börjar läsa på högskola/universitet och fler kvinnor avlägger examen. Denna studie är ett bidrag till tidigare forskning inom området genom att enbart studera Norrbottens län, som delvis har en annan struktur än andra län, samt studiet av relationen mellan social klass, genus, geografiskt område och attityder till högre utbildning. Syftet med studien är att undersöka vilken inställning ungdomar (15-19 år) i Norrbottens län har till högre studier och deras planer för att fortsätta studera efter gymnasiet. Studien avser att undersöka, ur ett genusperspektiv, om ungdomar i Norrbotten påverkas av deras sociala bakgrund och geografiska område, i deras val av högre utbildning efter avslutade gymnasiestudier.

Vår uppsats på kandidatnivå syftar till att knyta ihop två olika ämnesområden för att komma fram till en enhetlig slutsats. Syftet är att skapa en uppfattning om Internetanvändandet i relation med nya teknologiska möjligheter, i det här fallet har vi valt att undersöka trådlös och mobil kommunikation mot Internet. Situationen beskrivs dels ur ett tekniskt sammanhang, men även bakomliggande faktorer till teknikutnyttjande tas i beaktande för att få en rättvis och enhetlig bild av läget. Då tidigare forskning främst har fokuserats på mobiltelefonernas påverkan på vårat sätt att leva samtidigt som forskning inom trådlös och mobilt Internet får påstås vara starkt begränsad ville vi bidra med vårat inlägg i ett relativt ungt, men ack så viktigt forskningsområde.Vi utförde dels en kvantitativ studie där faktorer som sociala vanor, kommunikationsbehov och syn på mobilitet vägdes in för att skapa en bild av Internetanvändningen idag. I denna kvantitativa studie inkluderade vi även kvalitativa influenser i form av öppna frågor för att bredda synen av valt ämne, vilket visade sig vara ett lyckat tillvägagångssätt.Resultaten täckte mer än väl våran frågeställning och som bonus fick vi kvalitativ respons som gav oss en större insikt i hur Internet upplevs idag.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine how social procurement can be a further development of public-private partnership. This is done with interviews and a case study of the social procurement Mitt Gröna Kvarter and its labor effort Boendebyggarna. The theoretical framework used in the thesis consists of public-private partnership and corporate social responsibility. It tries to answer the following questions:What does this social procurement mean by the concept of public-private partnership?What does this social procurement mean for the participants involved?How can social procurement be seen as a further development of public-private partnership?The thesis uses the theory development around the concepts of public-private partnership and corporate social responsibility and shows that social procurement does indeed have similarities to public-private partnership and could very well be a further development of it..

The aim of this study is to illuminate social worker?s perception of social class within the Swedish social service system. This study therefor examine if social class contributes to the production and reproduction of the client and what impact social class has on the interaction between client and social workers. The study was conducted with qualitative semi-structured interviews with social workers from three different departments of social service. The theoretical approach is Yeheskel Hasenfeld?s theory about moral practices in welfare organisations, Michael Lipsky and Roine Johansson?s theories about client construction and Pierre Bourdieu?s class theory.

Purpose: To compare the expectations of coming profession in social work with experienced social work. We wanted to compare the pictures between the students in school of social work studies with social workers. We also wanted to increase social workers as well as other readers? awareness of social work as a profession.Questions: What characterizes the school of social studies? How do students in school of social work view the coming role as a professional? How do students in school of social work view upon social workers as professionals? How do social workers view upon their own profession? How do social workers view upon the own role as a professional? How do social workers view upon the relation between the idea of the profession and the daily practice? How do the students in school of social work studies and social workers view upon professional social work?Method: Qualitative study with qualitative interviews.Conclusion: Social work is a low status profession. How to increase the status of social work is not easy.

Never before have so many moved so frequently as now. Mobility lies at the centre for the concern ofstates, business and technological development. Some even claim that we are witnessing a mobility turn inthe social sciences. However, as the capacity to move has increased so too has the control and surveillanceof mobility become more extensive. Since September 11, 2001 security has been the defining paradigm fora variety for actors.

My big interest in sports was what shaped my choice of subject for the essay. The purpose of this study has been to explore the social meaning of team sports for functionally impaired persons. In order to fulfil the purpose of the essay I formed following questions: How do the actives experience their participation in team sports? And how important is the social intercourse in team sports to the individual welfare? The methods I?ve used have been qualitative with an ethnographic approach. I have used participant observations and field interviews to gather my empirical material.

I denna uppsats behandlas synen på mobilitet och affärsnytta hos organisationer som använder mobila tjänster och produkter samt marknadsför dem. Detta har vi gjort genom att intervjua fem personer som är och varit verksamma inom IT-branschen under en längre tid. Undersökningen har visat att begreppet affärsnytta används som ett generellt begrepp som täcker över en rad olika aspekter och faktorer, samt visat på kontextens signifikans i frågan. This study analyses social age as a phenomenon and if unaccompanied refugee children has a social age that, according to the Swedish culture, do not correspond with their biological age and if so is, the reason for that. Furthermore, our study has discussed the potential consequences of the effects for the unaccompanied refugee children and the social age when interacting with Swedish society. According to our study, the social age is effected by other factors besides cultural norms, values and role expectations that a society has on a specific biological age. The results in this study shows that social age is a vital component to someone?s identity.

Social phobia is a fear which limits a person's capabilities in daily situations. The fear can be so strong that a person can distance themselves from all social situations, for example education, marriage, sports activities etc. The purpose of this study is to discover whether there are any correlations between social fear and choice of educational program, between social fear and sex, and between social fear and Internet use. Questionnaires were administered to 80 upper secondary pupils. Each questionnaire answer was assigned a certain score, which was then coded in SPSS, the highest scores corresponding to highest degrees of shyness.

Genom tekniken kan intressanta berättelser presenteras med både ljud, bild och video, s k multimedieteknik. För att besökaren ska kunna vara rörlig och samtidigt ta emot information krävs en mobil utrustning som exempelvis en handdator.Denna magisteruppsats i informatik ingår i ett projekt, uppdelat i tre steg.

The purpose of our study is to get more knowledge about how moral dilemmas affect social workers in their work. This because we find that a big part of social work involves ethic reflections and that is why we find it important for social workers to have knowledge about how they should and can think and act in these situations. Ethic statements exist for social workers to use in their work but we haven?t found any guidelines for concrete situations and that?s why we decided to study this area. Questions we want to answer are how do the social workers define moral dilemmas in social work? How do the social workers deal with moral dilemmas in their work? How do moral dilemmas affect social workers in their work? This is a qualitative study with interviews from seven social workers from one social service office although they are from different units.

In Sweden the social assistance from a historical perspective, has been a part of the social legislation, since the 18th century. In that time called poor relief. Through the centuries this has established the social assistance we have today. With focus on the child, we have attempted to illustrate how the social workers consider the child perspective when they are dealing with the social assistance. We wanted to get a view of how the social worker reasons about needs the children have and how they can see that the benefit has been provided for.

När en person inte kan vara delaktig i meningsfulla aktiviteter kan hjälpmedel vara ett måste för att underlätta. Studier har visat att elrullstol möjliggör delaktighet, och detta kan därmed leda till en ökad livskvalitet. Fyra personer medverkade i denna studie, baserad på Canadian Model of Occupational Performance, CMOP. Två tekniker användes för datainsamlingen. Dels utfördes en intervju och dels skattade informanterna, med hjälp av VAS, sin upplevelse av delaktighet och livskvalitet före och efter att de fått sin elrullstol.

I uppsatsen behandlas ungdomsspråk ur ett dialektperspektiv, med utgångspunkt i intervjuer med gymnasieungdomar från Öckerö kommun. Undersökningen baseras på en kvalitativ studie där åtta ungdomar som vuxit upp och bor i kommunen intervjuats i form av samtal som spelats in.Uppsatsens huvudsyfte är att undersöka om och hur ungdomars språk påverkas av olika sociala faktorer och varför dessa förändringar i så fall äger rum. Jag har valt att utgå från två olika typer av analyser, dels en detaljerad innehållslig, dels en språklig. Anledningen till att den innehållsliga analysen är mer djupgående än den språkliga, beror på att det är den sociala aspekten som utgör undersökningens huvudfokus.Studien visar att det finns några särskilda sociala faktorer som påverkar ungdomars språkförändring mer än andra. Dessa faktorer är främst hur ungdomarnas framtid ser ut, eftersom de anpassar språket efter deras planer inför framtiden.
