I december 2001, bröt en allvarlig kris ut i Argentina som fick politiska, ekonomiska och sociala konsekvenser. En av dessa konsekvenser var de olika former av Social mobilisering som uppstod som ett uttryck för folkets desperation och som strategi för att rädda sin situation. En av de sociala mobiliseringarna var de återtagna företagen (ERT, Empresas Recuperadas por los Trabajadores). Tidigare anställda ockuperade och återtog sina fabriker när de gått i konkurs och de tidigare ägarna flytt landet. De bildade arbetskooperativ och fick efter en lång och hård kamp rätt att styra företagen i egen regi.Vi reste till Buenos Aires för att komma närmre detta ämne och söka kunskap om den kontext detta skett i och ta reda på vad återtagandet av dessa företag inneburit för arbetarnas del.

Alla människor kan drabbas av hjärtstopp och varje år inträffar ungefär 15 000 hjärtstopp i Sverige. Att drabbas av hjärtstopp är en traumatisk upplevelse som påverkar individen på olika sätt. En ökad kunskap om patienters upplevelser utgör grunden för att ge professionell omvårdnad och kunna bemöta patienten i sin livsvärld. Syftet var att belysa patientens upplevelser efter att ha överlevt hjärtstopp. Studien genomfördes som en litteraturstudie där tio vetenskapliga artiklar utgjorde underlaget för resultatet.

Pappor beskrivs som en marginaliserad och bortglömd grupp brukare inom socialtjänstens arbete med barn och familjer. Följaktligen har få studier undersökt pappors erfarenheter av bemötande. Individer med erfarenhet av kriminalitet och/eller missbruk uppges generellt vara mer utsatta i samhället och i kontakt med myndigheter. Den här studien handlar om hur pappor, med erfarenhet av kriminalitet och/eller missbruk, konstruerar socialtjänsten och erfarenheter av bemötande samt vilka strategier de använder för att hantera kontakt med myndigheten. Studien består av tematiskt öppna kvalitativa intervjuer med 31 pappor, vilka haft kontakt med IFO Barn och Unga 0-20 år i Uppsala kommun.

 Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva arbetsterapeutiska insatser för patienter i den akuta fasen efter stroke. Metoden som användes var en systematisk litteraturstudie med deskriptiv ansats där 12 vetenskapliga studier stod till grund för resultatet. Resultatet visade att de arbetsterapeutiska insatserna för patienter i akut fas efter stroke består av bedömning, träning och mobilisering. Bedömning sker mestadels inom funktionsdomänen men ibland även inom aktivitetsdomänen. Det framkommer att interventionerna består av arm-/handfunktionsträning, aktivitetsträning samt att tidig mobilisering praktiseras.

Bakgrund:De flesta patienter drabbas av akut smärta vid en höftfraktur. Långvarig smärta upplevs av många patienter med coxartros innan elektiv höftplastik. Upplevelsen av smärta hos dessa patienter är både sjukdoms- och vårdlidande. Författarna av denna systematiska litteraturstudie vill beskriva och förtydliga patienternas upplevelse av smärta och smärtlindring vid höftfraktur och höftplastik. Syfte: Att beskriva patienters upplevesle av smärta och smärtlindring vid höftfraktur eller höftplastik.

Under tio år, 1965-1974, byggdes en miljon bostäder i Sverige som del av Miljonprogrammet. Varken förr eller senare har så många bostäder byggts under så kort tid. Ofta byggdes de i utkanten av staden präglade av modernistiska ideal och med moderna byggtekniker. Idag, nästan femtio år efter miljonprogrammet inleddes, är behovet av upprustning akut bland många av miljonprogrammets bostäder. Utöver detta uppvisar många av miljonprogramsområdena sociala problem och på många sätt möter de inte de behov som dagens boende har.

Fotledsdistorsion är bland den vanligast förekommande skadan inom idrotten, där symtom som smärta, svullnad och funktionell instabilitet oftast blir en följd av skadan. Beroende på hur allvarlig skadan är kan det innebära långa tidsperioder ifrån idrotten. Det finns olika rehabiliteringsmetoder efter fotledsdistorsion där oftast PRICE ingår. Syftet med studien var att granska den vetenskapliga litteraturen avseende effekterna av rehabiliteringen efter akut eller subakut fotledsdistorsion. Metod: En litteratursökning genomfördes i databaserna Academic Search Elite, CINAHL, PEDro och Pubmed, vilket resulterade i att 25 artiklar inkluderades.

Several previous studies have in different ways tried to explain how new social movements are affected by the different sets of political and social contexts within different states and societies. This essay asks the question how much the institutional aspects within the theory of Political Opportunity Structures (POS) have determined how the rather successful animal rights movements in the Netherlands and Great Britain have mobilized and acted to gain progress. Since the Netherlands and Great Britain contains different kinds of political and institutional contexts, these two states are found to be suitable for a comparative analysis of the theory's durability. A qualitative portrayal of both state's institutional political opportunity structures are presented. Then the mobilization, progress, and actions of the political party ?Party for the Animals? in the Netherlands, and a wide group of animal rights organisations in Great Britain are determined.

This study departs from Gállok, an area 40 kilometres northwest of the city Jokkmokk, in northern Sweden. This is a place to which local people and Saami reindeer herders have material interests and emotional bonds. The mining company JIMAB wants to prospect for extracting minerals from this area. In the summer of 2013 local people, Saamis and environmental activists gathered in Gállok in order to protest and make resistance against these plans. Activism was made, debate articles were written, demonstrations were organized and information about what was going on in Gállok was shared through social media.The aim of this study is to examine the cultural processes of the anti-mining movement, in particular the happenings in Gállok in summer 2013.

The aim of this thesis is to examine the theoretical developments on social entrepreneurship. Our purpose is to create a better understanding of the phenomenon leading to new insights. We have categorized the knowledge of the concept into social economy, social ownership, social innovation and social missions. Drawing from our theoretical review we have chosen four empirical illustrations, Grameen Bank, Wikipedia, Basta Arbetskooperativ, Jörn Hälsogemenskap, and we have shown how these fit into the general description of the social entrepreneur. With help of our illustrations we show that it is complicated to pin point the core of social entrepreneurship as they each have separate structures, innovations, social missions and operate close to different sectors.

The purpose of this essay was to investigate affecting factors concerning social workers in social services assessments with cases of abuse. We wanted to see if social workers in social services tend to make different assessments of the need of substance abusers care. Our survey was carried out as a vignettesurvey with complementary interviews as means to deepen the outcome results.Our survey showed that the included social workers in social services in some senses make different assessments when it comes to choice of effort put in for the client. We shed light on different factors and circumstances, which could bear meaning for the social workers in social services assessments. Examples of factors were the social workers in social services age, gender, working experience and attitude towards substance abusers..

Social work is a social phenomenon, existing in most societies, that has given rise to a multitude of special organizations and professions. For that reason social work is dealing with a complex identity. The purpose of this study is to illustrate how social workers and the scientific discourse interpret the concept of social work. In addition to that the study intends to show similarities and differencies. The research process containes two studies, one based on qualitative interviews with five social workers and the other consisting a surway of academic litterature.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine how social procurement can be a further development of public-private partnership. This is done with interviews and a case study of the social procurement Mitt Gröna Kvarter and its labor effort Boendebyggarna. The theoretical framework used in the thesis consists of public-private partnership and corporate social responsibility. It tries to answer the following questions:What does this social procurement mean by the concept of public-private partnership?What does this social procurement mean for the participants involved?How can social procurement be seen as a further development of public-private partnership?The thesis uses the theory development around the concepts of public-private partnership and corporate social responsibility and shows that social procurement does indeed have similarities to public-private partnership and could very well be a further development of it..

The aim of this study is to illuminate social worker?s perception of social class within the Swedish social service system. This study therefor examine if social class contributes to the production and reproduction of the client and what impact social class has on the interaction between client and social workers. The study was conducted with qualitative semi-structured interviews with social workers from three different departments of social service. The theoretical approach is Yeheskel Hasenfeld?s theory about moral practices in welfare organisations, Michael Lipsky and Roine Johansson?s theories about client construction and Pierre Bourdieu?s class theory.

Purpose: To compare the expectations of coming profession in social work with experienced social work. We wanted to compare the pictures between the students in school of social work studies with social workers. We also wanted to increase social workers as well as other readers? awareness of social work as a profession.Questions: What characterizes the school of social studies? How do students in school of social work view the coming role as a professional? How do students in school of social work view upon social workers as professionals? How do social workers view upon their own profession? How do social workers view upon the own role as a professional? How do social workers view upon the relation between the idea of the profession and the daily practice? How do the students in school of social work studies and social workers view upon professional social work?Method: Qualitative study with qualitative interviews.Conclusion: Social work is a low status profession. How to increase the status of social work is not easy.
