The internet has become an increasingly part of everyday life with digital artefacts like smartphones and tablets. We?re looking at the usage of social networks and how the usage relates to traditional addiction. We conducted a quantitative research where 84 poeple finished our web survey. Our research focused on addiction, time spent on social networks, normal and non-normal usage and general user patterns.

Syftet med den här rapporten är att undersöka ifall PHP-ramverket CodeIgniter är ett lämpligt val för konstruktion av mindre webbplatser. För att besvara frågeställningen har jag konstruerat en webbplats i CodeIgniter åt företaget Östra hundskolan. Utifrån de erfarenheter jag fått när jag arbetat i CodeIgniter för jag ett resonemang kring fördelar och nackdelar jämfört med andra webbtekniker som mer traditionell webbprogrammering, CMS och andra PHP-ramverk.För att konstruera Östra hundskolans webbplats har jag tillsammans med deras ägare tagit fram en kravspecifikation som redogör för de funktioner och krav som finns. Utifrån kravspecifikationen har jag skapat en designspecifikation som sedan ligger som grund för implementeringen av webbplatsen. Webbplatsen är implementerad i CodeIgniter där många av dess inbyggda hjälpbibliotek har legat som underlag för webbplatsens funktioner.De slutsatser jag dragit efter att ha jobbat med CodeIgniter är att valet av verktyg måste anpassas utifrån många olika parametrar, exempelvis hur lång är projektettiden, vilka funktioner ska webbplatsen uppfylla, finns programmeringskunskaper, finns det ett krav på enkelt underhåll etcetera.

I det här examensarbetet behandlas problematiken i krypgrunder i allmänhet och för Kungsmadskolan i Växjö i synnerhet, där undersökning av energiförlust samt en klimatutredning gjorts för nuvarande konstruktion. En lämplig energieffektiviserande åtgärd i form av tilläggsisolering tas fram och dess påverkan på klimatet i krypgrunden utvärderas. The aim of this thesis is to study a job-searching process and elements that affects it. The elements I have focused on are gender, class and social network. The study is based on interviews and a survey study with students from the educational program of Social work (Socialomsorgsutbildningen), that graduated 3 years ago. Through the survey I have examined their social-background and their job-searching process. The interviews are the main focus in the study.

People born 1940-1949 will be more demanding regarding help from the elder care than previous generations. The explanation often proposed is that people born in the 1940?s grew up after the Second World War when cultural changes took place in society. The aim of this qualitative study was to describe the social needs of people born in the 1940?s today, in order to make cautious assumptions about what type of social needs elder care is likely to face in the future, when the older people becomes in need of elder care.

The purpose of this study was to examine the discourses that can be identified in medias representation of social services. To answer the purpose we made a critical discourse analysis using Faircloughs three-dimensional model. The choice to focus our study on a local newspaper was based on earlier research that found it possible that a local paper has a greater impact on readers than a national newspaper. Readers can more easily connect with what's happening in the immediate environment than what is written nationally. We used articles published in 2013 containing ?social services?.

The purpose of this study was to understand how social workers experienced working with Addiction Severity Index (ASI) in relation to the goal set by the National Board of Health and Welfare. The method is spread nationwide and therefore it is of great importance to examine how the social workers themselves experience the demands and the resources surrounding ASI. We choose to do a qualitative study interviewing eight social workers at six different occasions. The result was analyzed using Max Weber?s ideal type bureaucracy and Michael Lipsky?s thesis on street-level bureaucrats.

Vad innebär dagens sociala kompetens, vilken uppfattning har studenter om sin egen sociala kompetens och anser de att den motsvarar arbetslivets krav? Undersökningen lyfter upp begreppen genus, arbetsliv och uppväxt kopplat till social kompetens för att se skillnader, samband och innebörd utifrån studenters syn på dessa fenomen. Skiljer sig uppfattningen åt om social kompetens mellan könen? Underlaget för studien är 200 enkäter, fyra intervjuer och en omfattande litteraturundersökning, vilka visar att upplevelsen av social kompetens är beroende av genusperspektivet. Dessutom har uppväxten visat sig vara av betydelse för kvarliggande könskategoriseringar och sociala konstruktioner, vilka fortfarande är väl förankrade i arbets- och familjeliv.

The aim of this qualitative study was to explore which inner conceptions about the abused older women the professional social workers had and how they experienced the enconter of an abused old woman in an intimate partner relation. The theoretical background is social construction by Berger and Luckmann. This theory was uset to analyze the transcribed interviews. This study is based on nine interviews with five professionals in social services, three volunteers from the voluntary sector and one social worker who worked in a community based support group for abused older women. The result of this study shows that older women were often abused, by a relative they were dependent on, in their home.

The purpose of this essay has been to study the different discourses that are expressed in social welfare secretaries? assertions when they assess cases with elements of honour-related violence, intimidation and oppression. To do so I have used a discourse analysis theory and technique, based on three qualitative interviews with social welfare secretaries. The interviews were focused on vignettes, which were all fictitious cases with various elements of honour-related violence. One of the interviews was a focus groupinterview with four participants, while the other two interviews were individual.

The evolution of the media landscape and the introduction of social media have increased thenumber of communication channels tremendously during the last decade. These new channels have also made an impact on the information control, which has shifted focus from organisations to consumers. In order to communicate one coherent image in the numerous existing channels, organisations need to create strategies that take this into account and makes sure the same messages are communicated through all channels. One way to do this is to use integrated marketing communication (IMC). Since the social media is a relatively new phenomenon, there is no clear way of how to include social media into an IMC strategy.

This study examines the connection between social capital and urban and rural areas. The study divides the environments into two categories; metropolises and rural areas. Metropolises are defined as any of Swedens largest cities Stockholm, Gothenburg or Malmö. The study also examines if there is a difference between these groups in how high social trust they have to people living in the same areas as themselves versus people who live in other areas. The studie also focuses on the urbanization that the world is going through, where people move from rural areas into the cities for work and education.

Detta projekt och examensarbete har bestått av utveckling och rationalisering av befintlig metod vid montering och demontering av sidotätningsjärnen på utskovsluckor till Vattenfalls dammluckor. Nuvarande metod har byggt på tidskrävande, dyra och omständiga uppbyggnader av träställningar. Vi har istället valt att konstruera en justerbar arbetsplattform (typ skylift), som skall vara användbar på de flesta dammluckorna. Plattformarna sänks ner till befintligt luckben. En plattform består av stålplatta som skruvas fast på den vertikala betongväggen (monoliten) som finns i anslutning till dammluckan.

Our anticipated view is that SVT as a public service organization and TV4 as a commercial operator may have different motives with its use of social media.Material/Method: A qualitative method consisting of interviews by informants from SVT and TV4.Main results: Our result is that there isn?t any big difference between SVT and TV4 in the way they?re using social media.
