The purpose of this essay was to see how the construction of elderly immigrants as a problem in healthcare and elderly care has been described in the relevant literature. In the course of doing so I tried to answer the following questions; What is said to be the expected problems or difficulties in work with eldely immigrants? How are the expected members of the problemgroup defined and identified? Whos perspective dominates the description of the problem, the users or the investigators? These questions were hard to answer and I had to conclude that the problem was not clearly defined; there was only an assumption of a problem. This, however, has not been a hindrance in the category of elderly immigrants being claimed to be a group with problems that need research and further investigation. The dominating perspective is that of the investigators as they are the ones who define and identify who is a part of the problemgroup..

The number of students in the program for pupils with intellectual disabilities has drastically increased over the last decades. Most of those pupils, but far from all, are attending special classes. Today approximately 22 % are attending classes in compulsory school. The purpose of this paper is, from a social psychological perspective, to increase the knowledge and understanding of how pupils with intellectual disabilities, partly or fully attending the compulsory main-stream school, experience their school-days. This paper is composed of two case studies for which the empiric material has been collected through interviews and observations.

This is a paper about the social services waiting rooms. Our aim with the study has been to:?Describe and problematize the physical environment in social services waiting rooms. A wider purpose is to lift the question about the waiting room as a significant part of peoples encounter with the social services.? To be able to achieve this purpose, we have used two questions: What does the physical waiting room environment look like in social services in Stockholms län? How can we understand and problematize the physical environment factors impact on people who visits these environments? We have observed and photographed ten waiting rooms in ten different social services in Stockholms län.

The purpose of this study was to examine how social services in Örebro working with young people vulnerable to honor- related violence and oppression. Further the purpose was to investigate recognition of guidelines that could act as support in the work with honor- related violence and oppression, and also however the work with these honor-related cases could have an emotional impact on the social worker. To answer these questions a qualitative study using interviews was performed with four social workers in Örebro. The results have been analyzed and interpreted in relation to previous research conducted in the field of honor research. Further three theoretical perspectives have been used in the interpretation of the results; implementation theory, sociology of emotion and coping.

Uppsatsen ger en retorisk analys av tidningsdebatten Ranelidfejden 2003. Fejden startade med skribenten Linda Skugges recension i Expressen av Björn Ranelids bok Kvinnan är det första könet. Inom kort publicerades artiklar i Dagens Nyheter och Svenska Dagbladet som ifrågasatte Skugges kompetens som kritiker. Uppsatsen undersöker dessa artiklar och hur de argumenterar för att upprätthålla respektive bryta mot de normer som finns kring traditionell litteraturkritik. Detta görs genom att utgå från Kenneth Burkes dramatistiska analys inklusive ett genusperspektiv.

Denna studie handlar om hur några nyanlända elever upplever den svenska skolan och bemötandet av pedagogerna. Mer specifikt undersöks hur informanterna som är nyanlända och som har ett annat modersmål än svenska eller talar flera språk upplever mötet med det svenska språket, skolan och kulturen. I studien används en kvalitativ metod där jag valt att intervjua sex nyanlända elever, som har gått i skolan i 1-3 år i Sverige och som idag går i åk 6. Intervjuerna ägde rum på en skola där majoriteten av eleverna är flerspråkiga. Många elever har bott i Sverige under en lång period men många är nyligen inflyttade. Resultatet visar att de nyanlända eleverna upplevt svårigheter kring mötet med det svenska språket när det gällt bland annat meningsbyggnad, detta på grund av att det enligt informanterna är stora skillnader på grammatiken i det svenska språket jämfört med den grammatik de har i sina modersmål.

This study aims to investigate how and why teachers use social media to reach their students, and how they handle different levels of computer literacy among students.The purpose of this study is to investigate the experience of teachers using social media in their teaching. I have done interviews with two teachers, who use social media in different ways. One of the teachers makes her students publish their work on the Internet on wiki-spaces, and the other one use Facebook for discussions and teamwork. This report uses the pedagogy theories laid forth by Vygotskij as a vantage point to analyze the answers from the teachers. I have also looked at some of the published student texts on the Internet.This study concludes there are students who don?t have access to computers and Internet at home.

I detta arbete har åtta bilderböcker analyserats via en visuell textanalys. Arbetet har tagit sin teoretiska utgångspunkt i ett intersektionellt förhållningssätt och ett normkritiskt perspektiv. De sociala kategorier som legat till grund för den intersektionella ansatsen är diskrimineringsgrunderna som de benämns i läroplanen för förskolan; genus, klass, etnicitet, religion, funktionsförmåga samt sexualitet. Syftet med detta arbete var att göra en intersektionell analys av åtta populära bilderböcker ur ett normkritiskt perspektiv samt undersöka hur karaktärer konstrueras i text och bild utifrån nämnda sociala kategorier. Syftet var även att utifrån förekomsten av dessa kategorier analysera vilka normer och värderingar som förmedlas genom bilderboken.

The purpose of this essay was to examine whether there were any differences in social workers way of investigating boys and girls, age 13-15. The main questions we wanted to answer were; which were the factors that the social workers focused on? Did the investigations lead to a measure and if so, which one? How were risk and protection factors described and ana-lysed?To answer our questions we read and analyzed 22 reports, written by social workers 2004 at the department for teenagers and families at a social welfare service in Sweden. We came to the conclusion that there were some differences, but these were few and not extensive. Recreational activities was mentioned in a higher degree in the boys reports while health, housing conditions and network were mentioned more often in the girl´s reports.

Min utgångspunkt vid uppsatsens början var att ta reda på hur lärare uppfattar det pedagogiska ledarskapet och vad som är ett bra pedagogiskt ledarskap? Jag gjorde intervjuer med 8 lärare som var mellan 22 och 63 år. De har en geografisk spridning i Skåne med blandade erfarenheter - givetvis beroende på deras ålder. Introduction: The health for individuals with intellectual disabilities is asubject that is prioritized by the Swedish Institute for Public Health. Socialsupport has been proven to be important for health and quality of life. Despitethis fact there is no research available regarding the influence social support hason health and quality of life for people with intellectual disabilities in Sweden.Aim: To describe social support and the consequence of social support forhealth and quality of life for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Method:A litterature review of research in a defined area with a descriptive design.Systematic searches for articles were done in several databases and ultimately16 articles were chosen. Themes and categories were created with respect to theaim of this study during the analysis of the articles.

From an organizational standpoint social media has become a way for organizations to get closer to, and create a dialogue with, their environment. Swedish municipalities have began to use social media in their daily communication with the environment, but a problem has been raised about how public organizations should organize their social media when formal guidelines from the government are missing.Objective: The objective of this thesis is to examine how eight Swedish municipalities have organized their use of social media due to the lack of official guidance from the government, and also what difficulties that have occurred during this process.Method: The method used is qualitative with data collected through interviews with one respondent from each municipality.Results: The result show that the organizational solutions varies through each municipality but also the choice of social media. It has been important for municipalities to have someone in charge of the new communication tool since social media is a fast and communicative channel. Seven out of eight municipalities have already developed or are in process of developing their own formal guidelines on how to use social media.

I uppsatsen läggs ett intersektionellt perspektiv på konsthistorien. Det sker genom en belysning av det sydsvenska bonadsmåleriets undanskymda plats i allmänhet och de kvinnliga bonadsmålarnas osynliga roll i synnerhet.Uppsatsen består av fyra kapitel. I det första studerar jag den svenska konsthistorieskrivningen i tre historiografiska undersökningar: först en narrativ, sedan en kvantitativ och sist en komparativ diskussion av några historiografiska verk. Min huvudsakliga slutsats är att klassanalys lyser med sin frånvaro, ordet klass och framför allt arbetarklass nämns förhållandevis sällan. Genusstrukturer analyseras i varierande grad och på olika sätt medan etnicitet mest omnämns som en kanoniserad uteslutning.I det andra kapitlet introduceras först den sydsvenska bonadstraditionen.

Purpose: The purpose of the essay is; to explain and clarify how the company is acting to lead members in social media to achieve valuable external communication.
