The focus of this research is to investigate how the client's emotions can affect the social worker and how the social worker manages these feelings in order to make the right decisions. We have used a qualitative approach in our investigation. We have interviewed six social workers at social welfare bureaux in southern Sweden. Our theories are ?Nai?ve Theory? and ?Affect Theory?.

Emotionella ansiktsuttryck är en viktig social kommunikationsledtråd. Kognitivt bearbetas uttryck olika beroende av det emotionella innehållet. Uppfattningen influeras av sociala kategorier med ibland negativt utfall. Detta stereotypinflytande har ofta sitt ursprung från omedvetna processer och kan påverkas genom priming. Även kontextuella faktorer (dofter) influerar på uppfattningar av ansiktsuttryck.

The purpose of this study was to examine how social work professionals view their professional role and how they think about the concept of social work. I also wanted to investigate what they believe characterize a professional social work. For the purposes of this study, I chose a qualitative approach in which I interviewed five people linked to the social work. The theories which I have assumed in the analysis of the results are power theory, organization theory and professional theory. The results of this study show that the respondents believe that a professional social work is performed by someone who has training and experience in the field.

Social sustainability is often regarded as a solution to social problems in general. In this study, on the contrary, social sustainability is conceived as a socially constructed concept and the result of a certain way of looking at the world, the human being and the ideal society. The study centers around Kinda municipality in the southern region of Östergötland and a few of its elder inhabitants. What meaning and substance social sustainability is contained with as well as the effects that are produced by these conceptualizations is explored and analyzed. Also, the study examines the encounter between political policy?s and judgments on the one hand and the experiences and preferences held by the municipality?s elder inhabitants on the other..

Introduktion: Långvarig smärta är ett stort hälsoproblem som drabbar kvinnor i större utsträckning än män. Hur den långvariga smärtan inverkar på det dagliga livet skiljer sig mellan män och kvinnor. Jämställdhet i vården utgår ifrån att kvinnor och män har dels lika och dels olika omvårdnadsbehov.Syfte: Att belysa könsskillnader i hur det dagliga livet påverkas av långvarig smärtaMetod: Litteraturstudie enligt modell av Polit och Beck. Sökningar gjordes i databaserna Cinahl, PubMed och PsychInfo samt manuell sökning som resulterade i 10 artiklar. Under bearbetningen identifierades koder som delades upp i kategorier med innehållsanalys utifrån Forsberg och Wengström.Resultat: Könsskillnader i inverkan på det dagliga livet påträffades.

Föreningsengagemang, sociala relationer och stress är ofta omnämnda tillsammans och relateras ofta till varandra. Eftersom befintlig forskning är begränsad vad gäller sambanden dem emellan, var det av intresse att undersöka dessa. Syftet med studien var att kartlägga föreningsengagemang bland högskolestudenter på en högskola i södra Sverige samt undersöka eventuella samband mellan föreningsengagemang, sociala relationer och stress. Metoden för studien var deduktiv med ett kvantitativt angreppssätt. Enkäter med frågor om föreningsengagemang, stress och sociala relationer genomfördes på 230 studenter.

Integration policies have failed to make diversity into anything more than occupying the same physical space. People of different cultural background still do not share their lives to any real extent. Attempts made within planning and landscape architecture to catalyst the integration process have mainly been focused on structural measures, such as residential policies. As for outdoor environments, non-verbal casual encounters in the shape of crossing paths are assumed to lie at the heart of urban social integration.The aim of the thesis is to question this assumption and, as the thesis will show, there is literature supporting this aim. Looking at the works of Gordon Allport, Lewis Coser and some of their followers, I find intercultural contact to require more complex ways of interaction in order to reduce prejudice and to generate tolerance and understanding.

Lagrådet utgör en del av den svenska normprövningen. Uppgiften det har är att förhandsgranska lagförslag, för att säkerställa att de till exempel inte strider mot någon av Sveriges grundlagar. I och med att Sverige är med i EU måste hänsyn även tas till de rättsakter som EU utfärdar. Ett direktiv är ett exempel på en sådan rättsakt. Dess innehåll är bindande för medlemsländerna men det är upp till medlemsländerna att själva genomföra direktivet i sin nationella lagstiftning.

The purpose of this study was to enlighten the views of male social work students on; the social work profession, social work status and their career options. Also, the study aimed at getting these students angles of approach on the fact that they, being men, are a minority group within the profession of social work. Some of the main questions were: Why does not social work as a profession seem to attract men? What about the status of the profession of social work? What were the thoughts of male social work students about this? What advantages or disadvantages did they recognise, being a minority in the profession? The method used in this study was doing separate interviews. All of the interviewed students were convinced that they had a better chance of getting a job.

Bakgrund: Depression ses som en del av ett bipolärt syndrom med depressiva och maniska eller hypomana sjukdomsepisoder eller som ett unipolärt syndrom endast med depressionsepisoder. Fysisk aktivitet definieras som kroppens rörelse skapad av skelettmuskulaturens sammandragning. Den leder till att kroppen gör sig av med energi och har kopplats till att minska depressionsrisken, öka välbefinnandet och bryta isoleringen. Att motivera äldre med depressionssjukdom till fysisk aktivitet är inte helt okomplicerat. Sjuksköterskan har en viktig roll i att integrera fysisk aktivitet i omvårdnaden för denna patientgrupp.

In Sweden the social assistance from a historical perspective, has been a part of the social legislation, since the 18th century. In that time called poor relief. Through the centuries this has established the social assistance we have today. With focus on the child, we have attempted to illustrate how the social workers consider the child perspective when they are dealing with the social assistance. We wanted to get a view of how the social worker reasons about needs the children have and how they can see that the benefit has been provided for.

The aim of this study was to enlighten social workers experiences of social networks direct influence in Swedish social services, and in which ways those influences are manifested. Some of the issues that are being explored in this study are: The separation of the private sphere and professional duties; boundaries and dual relationships that occurs inside social networks; the use of social networks as a control-instrument in authority exercise towards clients; and social networks arising impact on social work. The empirical material was collected with nine qualitative interviews with social workers stationed at different social service departments in a Swedish municipality. Also one qualitative e-survey was sent out to, and answered by four social workers with a managerial position in the same municipality.The results reveal that several informants have experienced different problematic situations involving clients within the social networks. This study shows that the informants are very restrictive with what information (text and pictures) they publish on their facebook-profiles, because of their position of authority and the awareness of the possibility of always being watched.

Today, social media is used mostly by people in their private life. However, companies are more and more tapping into the area of social media. To this date, mostly B2C companies have been successful in their social media strategies. This qualitative thesis aims to investigate how B2B companies can benefit from using social media as a means to communicate and build relations with their customers. The medtech industry has been chosen as the object of study.Through depth interviews with people in the medtech industry and social media experts, data has been collected in order to answer the questions of (1) how ready customers in the medtech industry are to receive information through social media and (2) how companies can build the best possible social media strategy.

Det har tidigare forskats på sambandet mellan tillfälliga anställningar och individers välbefinnande. Forskningen har däremot inte uppmärksammat om längden på den återstående avtalstiden har någon inverkan på de anställdas psykiska hälsa. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka om längden på den återstående kontraktstiden kan predicera fotbollsspelares psykiska hälsa. Studien kontrollerade även om ålder, föräldraskap och planer för framtiden kunde ha någon inverkan på spelares psykiska hälsa i relation till återstående kontraktstid. Detta undersöktes genom en enkätstudie där 101 professionella fotbollsspelare från fem svenska elitlag deltog.

Denna uppsats tar upp ämnet social konflikt i samband med Nordirlandskonflikten. Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka huruvida social konflikt kan verka främjande för samhället, samt att titta på de orsaker som gör att konflikten på Nordirland vidmakthålls. Detta har utförts genom en litteraturstudie av teorier utvecklade av Coser, Simmel och Merton.Slutsatser jag har dragit utifrån denna studie är bland annat att social konflikt i detta fall, parallellt med de nedbrytande faktorerna, också kan verka för en gynnande samhällsutveckling på vissa områden..
