A clean and affordable energy source for cooking is deficient in developing countries. People rely on fuels that contribute to environmental, social and health problems.Biogas is an alternative energy source and an increased investment in small-scale biogas production can in several developing countries be found. Several projects have started to use the technology in developing countries because of the benefits with biogas. Some cases in the establishment of biogas plants have succeeded and some have not. The study is a literature review supplemented by two field studies.

Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka den svenska regleringen på spelmarknaden inom Sveriges gränser. Dels vilket motiv som ligger bakom regleringen och vad det har fått för effekter på marknaden och samhället. Detta jämförs med om man skulle ha haft en helt oreglerad marknad med hjälp av grundläggande nationalekonomisk mikroekonomisk teori. Uppsatsens slutsatser är att regleringen motiveras främst av sociala skäl från statligt håll p g a av problemet med externa effekter, asymmetrisk information (konsumentsäkerhet) och ur omfördelningssynpunkt. Ett oreglerat tillstånd av marknaden har ett osäkert utfall vad gäller de externa effekterna men de skulle säkerligen öka.

The primary purpose of this essay is to study and describe what student?s self experiences of the media coverage of social work. The theoretical perspectives applied to analyse the empirical data are social constructionism, roles, and construction. The method of this study is qualitative and based on ten personal interviews. The material has been analysed by condensed meaning units and three themes have been used, the media coverage of social work, the relationship between social workers and media and the influence media coverage has on the students.The results given from these interviews show that the majority of the interviewed group considers the media coverage of social work as negative.

The aim of this master thesis is to create an understanding of what it can be like to grow older as a homosexual man in Sweden today. The study has an intersectional and queer theoretical approach and is based on eight in depth interviews with men who are aged between 68 and 82 years old. In the analysis I deal with the problem of how sexuality can be inter- preted with the experience of aging. Central to the analysis is the criticism of norms connected to age, sexuality, social- and family life and gay culture.The results show that the norm-breaking sexual orientation of the men affects their life path in terms of how to organize social life, where friends often replace the traditional family. New ways of forming relationships and living their lives imply other obligations rather than the traditional for significant others, which was shown to influence the expectations and outcome of old age in terms of care and support.

For the past decades, culture has been given a role as a factor for local and regional development. But what is meant by development and in what ways culture can be of importance in this aspect can be unclear. This thesis examines the perception of the role for local and regional development of one specific cultural place and network ? the cultural cooperative Not Quite in Fengersfors, Sweden. I study the way the role as developer is expressed and interpreted in the discourse of the cultural workers who are members of the network and in the discourse of public cultural policy in the region Västra Götaland and in Åmål municipality.

Metod: Vi har för var och en av de tre utvalda bankerna utfört en simulering baserad utifrånderas rekommendationer. Hänsyn har tagits till individers olika riskbenägenhet samt en begränsad tidshorisont.

The intention with this study is to investigate how schools are affected by state and municipal documents when they organize the education for children with special needs. The study is based on following questions.How do decisions on state and municipal level of politics affect the decisions that the principals make concerning organization, and do the school leaders think that the decisions are made on the right level of liability?What is the relationship between economic decisions and pedagogical decisions?What decides whether the schools have children with special needs integrated in their ordinary classes, or if they receive segregated remedial courses, and what are the views on an equivalent education?The study is conducted through interviews with principals of three schools, one politician on municipal level and one special education teacher. The interviews are linked to an historic background as well as current studies and discourses. The study shows that there are contradictions between state, municipality and school goals.

Det är också att se vad aktieprisbeteendet på ex-dagen kan säga om utvecklingen av marknadens effektivitet.Frågeställning: Går det att finna en signifikant skillnad mellan prisfallet på ex-dagen och storleken på utdelningen efter justering för indexrörelser? Vad kan man utifrån aktieprisets beteende på ex-dagen säga om utvecklingen av marknadens effektivitet?Tillvägagångssätt: Vi har använt oss av en kvantitativ datainsamling och gjort hypotesprövningar för att kunna dra slutsatser. Materialet är hämtat från databaserna Datastream och Ecowin.Slutsatser: Det går att för vissa år finna en signifikant skillnad mellan aktieprisfallet och utdelningens storlek. Av de tolv år vi undersökt har det visat sig att det för fem år kan sägas att prisfallet varit signifikant lägre än utdelningsbeloppet.

SYFTE: Huvudsyftet med denna studie är att undersöka om det är möjligt att utnyttja marknadens osäkerhet inför kvartalsrapporter. METOD: Metodmässigt bygger vår studie på sekundärdata, med fokus på Ericssons historiska slutkurser på aktier och optioner. Vi har prognostiserat den implicita volatiliteten inför kvartalsrapporter för att sedan utforma lämpliga deltaneutrala optionsstrategier som vi testar på nästkommande år. TEORI: Vi utgår från tidigare studier om att den implicita volatiliteten stiger inför kvartalsrapporter vilket vi vill testa. Dessutom testas teorin om svag marknadseffektivitet.

Sammanfattning Hur utvecklas kursen vid en nyintroduktion i jämförelse med Affärsvärldens generalindex (AFGX)? Uppsatsen redovisar utvecklingen för 57 aktier vid introduktionsdagen, efter en dag, en vecka en månad, tre månader och ett år. Slutsatsen är att det finns skillnader, de är signifikanta efter en dag och efter ett år. Efter en dag har kursen i genomsnitt gått ner ett antal procentenheter och för AFGX var motsvarande genomsnitt svagt positivt. Efter ett år är skillnaden mycket stor med 94 % i avkastning för nyintroducerade aktier och 13,1 % i avkastning för AFGX.

Syftet med denna uppsats har varit att undersöka storbankernas etiska fonder. Samtliga fonder jämfördes med varandra och med marknaden för att undersöka hur dessa har presterat i avseende på risk och avkastning. Uppsatsen syftar även till att vägleda bland storbankernas etiska fonder, d.v.s. kunna erbjuda läsaren en bild av vilka fonder som kan vara intressanta ur ett placeringsperspektiv. The purpose of the study was to examine what possibilities and obstacles, according to the personnel and patients in a methadone treatment, exist in the patient's social rehabilitation. How does the methadone treatment encourage the patient's social rehabilitation, what possibilities/obstacles are there according to personnel and patients? What does the patient see as important aspects of his/her social rehabilitation and what importance does the methadone have on the treatment? The results show that there are difficulties for patients to rebuild their life, find employment, start new social networks and get by with everyday tasks. The support from friends and family will simplify the patient's social rehabilitation, otherwise they get isolated and alone. Patients feel that they are fighting for a successful treatment so that they can have a relationship with friends and families again.

Our purpose was to investigate if Swedish University educated social workers, living as active Christians, in any way might be influenced by Christian values. The main questions; Can Christian values be a factor in the choice of career to become a social worker? How does a personal belief in Christ impact the relationship towards the clients? Is Christian belief a support in the work? In this paper we used a qualitative method and interviewed eight persons, with a background as above, four of them employed by a church organisation and the other four working in the social sector. The result we present is that the eight Christian social workers Christian belief influenced their work very individually. How much this supported them was a choice about how official and open they wanted Christian values to be.

Our main aim with this study is to shed a light over the social workers opinions about what they believe will be the consequences of introducing Housing First in the city of Stockholm. We wanted to examine the social workers perceptions about how Housing First could change their client?s autonomy and justice. Therefor we accomplished five qualitative interviews with social workers. We analyzed our empirical material with the theoretical terms; justice, autonomy and intern role-conflict.
