The purpose of this study is to use a qualitative approach to get an understanding of what is expected of social workers targeted towards women managers in social services. Nine social workers were interviewed. The empirical data was then analyzed on the basis of gender theory. Respondents did not see their supervisor as a manager but more as a social worker with special tasks. Our empirical data indicates that there is a strong belief that men and women possess different properties.

Syftet var att genom journalgranskning kartlägga i vilken omfattning identifiering och dokumentation görs av förekomsten av avoidable factors hos skallskadade patienter, av sjuksköterskor på en neurointensivvårdsavdelning (NIVA), samt undersöka överensstämmelsen mellan dokumentation och monitorvärden rörande intrakraniellt tryck (ICP), cerebralt perfusionstryck (CPP), systoliskt blodtryck (SBT) och temperatur som registrerats via övervakningsutrustningen. Dokumentationen gjordes med ledning av en befintlig guideline. Urvalet var konsekutivt och studien innefattade 25 patienter. Antalet bedömningar i studien var totalt 2176 stycken. Vid 85 % av bedömningstillfällena dokumenterade sjuksköterskan i bedömningsformuläret.

Syftet för denna undersökning är att genom läromedelsanalys belysa hur läsförståelseaspekten behandlas inom SO- och NO-undervisningen. Datainsamlingen har bestått av textanalys av ett antal läromedel i SO och NO, avsedda för skolår 7-9, samt kompletterande intervjuer med några lärare som använder de aktuella läromedlen i sin undervisning. I jämförelsesyfte har sedan diskursanalysen använts som analysmetod.Resultatet visar att lärarstöd för läsförståelseundervisning, direkt riktat mot lärobokstexten, endast förekommer i SO-läromedlen och då främst i läromedlet för samhällskunskap. Intervjuerna visar, inom både SO och NO-diskursen, att kunskap om läsförståelseteorier är en viktig faktor för att läraren ska kunna undervisa eleverna om hur de ska förstå texten i respektive ämne.En slutsats som kan dras är att det behövs mer kunskap om läsförståelse hos lärare i alla ämnen och att ett samarbete om elevers läsning över ämnesgränserna bör eftersträvas..

Att dokumentera omvårdnad på ett omsorgsfullt sätt har en avgörande betydelse för omvårdnadens kvalitet, för utveckling av omvårdnad samt är en grund för kvalitetsutveckling inom omvårdnad. Det är sjuksköterskans skyldighet att föra en patientjournal, vilken ska innehålla observation, bedömning (omvårdnadsanamnes, status, mål), omvårdnadsdiagnostik, omvårdnadsordination, planering, genomförande och utvärdering av patientens omvårdnad. Omvårdnadsdokumentationen ska främja hälsa, förebygga sjukdom, återställa hälsa samt lindra lidande. Den bör också garantera att patientens värdighet inte i något avseende kränks. Genom att sjuksköterskans dokumentation avspeglar patientens väsen och innersta önskningar om hur denne vill bli vårdad kan man lindra patientens vårdlidande.

The focus of this research is to investigate how the client's emotions can affect the social worker and how the social worker manages these feelings in order to make the right decisions. We have used a qualitative approach in our investigation. We have interviewed six social workers at social welfare bureaux in southern Sweden. Our theories are ?Nai?ve Theory? and ?Affect Theory?.

The purpose of this study was to examine how social work professionals view their professional role and how they think about the concept of social work. I also wanted to investigate what they believe characterize a professional social work. For the purposes of this study, I chose a qualitative approach in which I interviewed five people linked to the social work. The theories which I have assumed in the analysis of the results are power theory, organization theory and professional theory. The results of this study show that the respondents believe that a professional social work is performed by someone who has training and experience in the field.

Social sustainability is often regarded as a solution to social problems in general. The study centers around Kinda municipality in the southern region of Östergötland and a few of its elder inhabitants. What meaning and substance social sustainability is contained with as well as the effects that are produced by these conceptualizations is explored and analyzed. The main purpose of this study was to establish to what extent undergraduate students use reference services, what knowledge they have about those services and what their views of them are.The survey took place at Lund University Library, UB1, the main library responsible for collections in social sciences, humanities, theology and law. A total of 476 undergraduate students were asked to fill in a questionnaire, 273 accepted. The study is quantitative and was carried out during the autumn semester, 1996.The results show that the service used most frequently by undergraduate students is the reference collection. The least used service is the Internet, more than 50 percent of the students never use Internet at the University Library. In general, students are very pleased with the service given by the reference librarians, and with the collection of reference books.

Sammanfattning Syftet med vår undersökning har varit att undersöka hur dokumentationerna ser ut och om barn är delaktiga i de dokumentationer som vi har sett på förskolor. Vårt syfte har också varit att se hur pedagoger går tillväga vid dokumentation och på vilka sätt pedagoger använder dokumentationer för vidare utvecklingsarbete. Våra frågeställningar har varit: Hur ser dokumentationer ut? Vad säger förskollärare om dokumentationer? Vad säger barn om dokumentationer? Vi har även ställt frågan på vilka sätt är barnen delaktiga i dokumentationerna? Vi har inte hittat så mycket aktuell forskning inom detta ämne. Vi har främst använt oss av studier gjorda av Hillevi Lenz Taguchi, Ann-Christine Vallberg Roth och Annika Månsson, Christina Wehner-Godée samt Elisabeth Arnér. Vi har genomfört kvalitativa intervjuer med förskollärare och barn.

The purpose of this study was to enlighten the views of male social work students on; the social work profession, social work status and their career options. Also, the study aimed at getting these students angles of approach on the fact that they, being men, are a minority group within the profession of social work. Some of the main questions were: Why does not social work as a profession seem to attract men? What about the status of the profession of social work? What were the thoughts of male social work students about this? What advantages or disadvantages did they recognise, being a minority in the profession? The method used in this study was doing separate interviews. All of the interviewed students were convinced that they had a better chance of getting a job.

In Sweden the social assistance from a historical perspective, has been a part of the social legislation, since the 18th century. In that time called poor relief. Through the centuries this has established the social assistance we have today. With focus on the child, we have attempted to illustrate how the social workers consider the child perspective when they are dealing with the social assistance. We wanted to get a view of how the social worker reasons about needs the children have and how they can see that the benefit has been provided for.

The aim of this study was to enlighten social workers experiences of social networks direct influence in Swedish social services, and in which ways those influences are manifested. Some of the issues that are being explored in this study are: The separation of the private sphere and professional duties; boundaries and dual relationships that occurs inside social networks; the use of social networks as a control-instrument in authority exercise towards clients; and social networks arising impact on social work. The empirical material was collected with nine qualitative interviews with social workers stationed at different social service departments in a Swedish municipality. Also one qualitative e-survey was sent out to, and answered by four social workers with a managerial position in the same municipality.The results reveal that several informants have experienced different problematic situations involving clients within the social networks. This study shows that the informants are very restrictive with what information (text and pictures) they publish on their facebook-profiles, because of their position of authority and the awareness of the possibility of always being watched.

This qualitative thesis aims to investigate how B2B companies can benefit from using social media as a means to communicate and build relations with their customers. The medtech industry has been chosen as the object of study.Through depth interviews with people in the medtech industry and social media experts, data has been collected in order to answer the questions of (1) how ready customers in the medtech industry are to receive information through social media and (2) how companies can build the best possible social media strategy.
