Arbetets syfte är att undersöka hur takträdgårdar kan fungera och gestaltas vid äldreboenden. Framställningen tar särskilt fasta på kunskap om utevistelsens positiva hälsoeffekter i relation till äldreboendens allt viktigare roll i staden. Studien presenterar idén om takträdgårdar som utemiljö för de äldre, och exemplifierar kunskaper om detta genom visioner och gestaltningsförslag för Brahem vård- och omsorgsboende i Stockholm. Grönområden i anslutning till bostaden ökar tillgängligheten för de boende och erbjuder utevistelse med naturrelaterade upplevelser. Satsningar på takträdgårdar kan utnyttja byggda konstruktioner och på lång sikt ge sociala, miljömässiga, estetiska och ekonomiska fördelar.

Swedish and international research indicate that many measures made by social services, concerning children and adolescents who are taken from their homes to an institution, are interrupted prematurely for different reasons. The word "breakdown" is used when a measure granted by the social service is broken before the projected time has passed. Research concerning how social service employees are influenced by measures being interrupted prematurely is very limited. The aim of this qualitative study is to examine how social service employees in Malmö are influenced by the premature interruption, "breakdown", of measures concerning children and adolescents who are taken from their homes to an institution. The theoretic basis for the study is Symbolic interactionism, especially the theory of Stefan Morén concerning conditions for change.The study is based on interviews with social employees, relevant material from research in this field and an examination of the theoretical basis.

Hemsidan ska även vara estetiskt tilltalande, där färgvalet visade sig ha påverkan för huruvida målgruppen etablerar förtroende eller inte. De nyanser som anses mest förtroendeingivande är blå och grön. Ljusstyrkan hos en färg som ger mest förtroende är mörka och ljusa färger.

Modeföretagens affärsidéer bygger idag på en hög konsumtion av plagg med korta livscykler och produkter skickas snabbt ut på marknaden. Detta är möjligt genom kapade ledtider och effektiviserade designprocesser, vilket i sin tur leder till låga priser. Denna effektiva verksamhet gör att delar i processerna måste prioriteras bort. En följd av detta är trendkänsliga plagg som är skapade för nuet. Plaggen är inte längre skapade att hålla en längre tid och fyller ett kortsiktigt behov hos kunden.

Målet med det här arbetet är att presentera ett förslag på en komponentbaserad design som skall användas för att lösa ett problem som finns hos företag som jobbar med flera affärssystems API-komponenter. Lösningen som uppnås är ett komponentbaserat gränssnitt som låter sig anpassas, underhållas och utökas av användare. Vår lösning beskriver hur en design ser ut som låter utvecklarna hos dessa företag arbeta mot ett komponentbaserat gränssnitt som programmatiskt ser identiskt ut oberoende mot vilket API-system utvecklaren arbetar mot eller med. Resultatet når vi genom att använda en blandad metodik, d.v.s. en metodik där både kvalitativa och kvantitativa metoder används.

This thesis examines young people's thoughts about their presence on social media. With asocial constructive approach the study focused on how young people think and act on socialmedia in relation to constructions of gender and normality. The analysis is based on fourgroup interviews with 13-year old boys and girls. The theoretical approach is based partly onsocial constructionism where discourses and ideas of normality are identified and analyzed.Erving Goffman's theory of social interaction was central to illustrate how young peoplepresents themselves based on the prevailing discourses. It is clear that they adjust theirrepresentations of themselves depending on the context.

The report contains three parts. The first part is a summary and overall presentation of thermalcracks and preventing measures against such cracks. Sit, Eat, Drink, Talk, Laugh ? Dining and Mixed Media, is an exploratory study of qualities in everyday life and challenges people to enjoy the qualities of mundanity. Seeking inspiration in ethnographic studies, field work was conducted in domestic settings, returning an extensive body of material to work from. The study challenges people to absorb the moment, reflect and enjoy, rather than pacing through a lifetime, with a constant focus on the future instead of the present. This work takes a starting point in food and dining as a social activity, where interactive sound and a reference to online social media is explored through two interventions.

This thesis examines the relationship between recognition of prior learning and the aim to increase social and ethnical diversity in higher education. Recognition of prior learning is a result of educational politics aiming to broaden social and ethnical recruitment to higher education. By examining if recognition of prior learning rather can, and shall, be seen as part of what Pierre Bourdieu calls educational social reproduction I try to question whether it fulfils education policy goals or not. My results show that persons responsible for recognition of prior learning rather recognise knowledge from prior educational institutions than knowledge gained outside the educational system. Considering this, recognition of prior learning does not quite live up to the aims.

Denna rapport redovisar utvecklingen av en tjänst för att lättare kunna söka praktikplats och praktikanter. Tjänsten utvecklades som ett eget projekt att senare kunna visas upp som ett förslag för intressenter av verktyg som detta. Utvecklingen har följt dagens principer för användbarhetsdesign och upplevelsedesign. Målet har under hela utvecklingsperioden varit att skapa något som speglar denna tids trender och applikationer för möten. Resultatet av detta projekt har landat i en hifi prototyp, grafisk profil samt konceptbeskrivning för hur tjänsten ska fungera och användas.

An individual's social capital consists largely of the social networks that may consist offamily, friends and acquaintances. The social network is of great significance on olderpeople's physical and mental health. Aim: The overall purpose is to examine the knowledgeof social network and the health of the elderly. Method: Litterature review, using threedifferent databases, CINAHL, PubMed and Scoupus for searching of articles, with differentcombinations of keywords. Results: Different types of social networks have both positive andnegative effects on health.

To accomplish this purpose, archaic societies and structures such as ancient Egypt and Hawaii will be examined to obtain a closer understanding of the building blocks which constitute a chiefdom or kingdom. Since Patrick V. Kirch (2010) recently redefined the Hawaiian archipelago as a kingdom this essay will examine if the same can be done with the chiefdom of Tonga since it have similarities to the Hawaiian social organization.To do this the essay will examine and describe both the geographical organization of the states and the social organization. Our thesis is conducted in collaboration with Draper Europe AB in Halmstad.The goal of the project has been to construct a baseline concept for the instaling of aprojector screen. Draper Europe AB, in the curent situation, have several kinds of fabrics and designs on their sceens and the cases they are in. Today if you select a screen you can´t chose the design and function of the sceens case.The arrangement of the components inside the cases was to be constructed so the assembler simply could move them to different cases. To make it even easier for the assembler and to save time, the desire of less component was mentioned. Another problem that needed to be solved was the mounting of the projectionscreen at the customer place.
