The aim of this study was to examine how two integrating social enterprises relate to and combines social, ecological and economic sustainability and how they work with sustainable development in the field of social work. The study has been focusing on three questions: What are the values underpinning ?Macken? and ?Vägen uts? approach to sustainable development? What motivates these companies to work with ecological sustainability in the creation of new jobs? How do these companies combine social, ecological and economic sustainability? To answer our questions we have been interviewing nine employees through semi-structured interviews combined with observations and this study was analysed through a symbolic perspective. The conclusion of this study showed that these companies worked with specific themes to reach social sustainability. Recurring themes in the study was empowerment, recovery and the employee?s own experience of exclusion.

The purpose of this thesis was to increase our understanding of how the social service in Sweden deals with reported incidents of addiction to medicines. Another purpose was to point out the different opinions concerning addiction to medicines amongst actors as well as possible ways to handle the problem.We have conducted a quantitative and qualitative e-mail survey targeting all communities in Sweden, with the ambition of gaining further knowledge about the role and responsibility of the social service concerning reports of addiction to medicines. Two quantitative questions were one asked about how many clients requested/were reported for needing help with their drug abuse alone, and the second question about how many clients needing help for drug abuse as a part of a wider addiction.The survey revealed that the social services judge their role/responsibility differently; some take the main responsibility while others think that drug abuse is created by the general health care and should be handled by this organization as well. In relation to the estimated amount of drug addicts in Sweden only a small part are in contact with the social service..

Kvinnomisshandel är idag ett etablerat samhällsproblem. Också i massmedia får detta problem stor uppmärksamhet. När kvinnomisshandel diskuteras kan det kännas som om kvinnan skuldbeläggs. Den kvinna som stannar kvar hos våldsmannen kanske inte får förståelse ifrån omgivningen lika lätt som den som bryter upp? Syftet med uppsatsen är att få en större förståelse om varför en del kvinnor inte lämnar en man som slår henne.

Studier om engagemang i extrema och radikala grupper har begränsats till en grupp åt gången. Djupare psykologisk förståelse för fenomenet har efterfrågats. Syftet med föreliggande studie var att utforska likheter mellan föredetta medlemmar av olika radikala och extrema grupper, beträffande faktorer bidragande till anslutning, kontinuitet och urkoppling, samt hur processen bakom anslutning, kontinuitet och urkoppling kan förklaras med hjälp av social identitetsteori (Tajfel & Turner, 1986). Intervjumaterialet (N=7) analyserades med en blandning av induktiv och deduktiv tematisk analys. Anslutning associeras med utanförskap, dysfunktionella familjeförhållanden, emotionell belastning och manipulation.

The purpose of the study is to explore how social workers work with youths that seek financial assistance and what importance gender plays in this process. The participants were six female social workers that work with financial assistance. They were interviewed and had to reflect over a case, where the client where either male or female. The results was analyzed and compared in relation to social constructive theory and gender theory. The study shows that social workers work in two parallel processes, when they decide about financial assistance and other help benefits, the formal and the intuitive.

The purpose of this essay was to see how the construction of elderly immigrants as a problem in healthcare and elderly care has been described in the relevant literature. In the course of doing so I tried to answer the following questions; What is said to be the expected problems or difficulties in work with eldely immigrants? How are the expected members of the problemgroup defined and identified? Whos perspective dominates the description of the problem, the users or the investigators? These questions were hard to answer and I had to conclude that the problem was not clearly defined; there was only an assumption of a problem. This, however, has not been a hindrance in the category of elderly immigrants being claimed to be a group with problems that need research and further investigation. The dominating perspective is that of the investigators as they are the ones who define and identify who is a part of the problemgroup..

This is a paper about the social services waiting rooms. Our aim with the study has been to:?Describe and problematize the physical environment in social services waiting rooms. A wider purpose is to lift the question about the waiting room as a significant part of peoples encounter with the social services.? To be able to achieve this purpose, we have used two questions: What does the physical waiting room environment look like in social services in Stockholms län? How can we understand and problematize the physical environment factors impact on people who visits these environments? We have observed and photographed ten waiting rooms in ten different social services in Stockholms län.

The purpose of this study was to examine how social services in Örebro working with young people vulnerable to honor- related violence and oppression. Further the purpose was to investigate recognition of guidelines that could act as support in the work with honor- related violence and oppression, and also however the work with these honor-related cases could have an emotional impact on the social worker. To answer these questions a qualitative study using interviews was performed with four social workers in Örebro. The results have been analyzed and interpreted in relation to previous research conducted in the field of honor research. Further three theoretical perspectives have been used in the interpretation of the results; implementation theory, sociology of emotion and coping.

Syftet med den här studien är att få ta del av några lärares erfarenhet av att arbeta med flickor som har ADHD, i en pedagogisk kontext. I bakgrunden sker en övergripande genomgång av tidigare forskning och litteratur, som i många fall pekar åt ett och samma håll. Flickor med ADHD upptäcks inte i lika stor utsträckning som pojkar, förmodligen på grund av att de har ett annat beteende och att lärare behöver bli bättre på att se dessa flickor. För att kunna styrka undersökningen tillförlitlighet sker en noggrann redovisning utav metoden som använts i denna studie, vilket innebär att om någon annan skulle göra om samma studie så skulle de komma fram till ett liknande resultat. Den visar också på varför intervjuer är det bästa instrumentet för detta undersökningssyfte.

CEEQUAL är ett brittiskt hållbarhetsklassningssystem utvecklat för anläggningsbranschen. CEEQUAL bedömer och ger utmärkelser till infrastruktur- och anläggningsprojekt som hanterat miljö- och hållbarhetsfrågor över lagstadgade krav.Denna rapport undersöker och jämför arbetsgången enligt CEEQUALs manual och arbetsgången enligt Trafikverkets planeringsprocess. Vidare redovisas resultaten från en workshop samt intervjuer med anställda på NCC, Ramböll, Skanska, Trafikverket och WSP.Huvudsyftet med studien är att utvärdera CEEQUALs lämplighet som verktyg för Trafikverkets miljö- och hållbarhetsarbete.Resultatet från intervjuer, workshop och litteraturstudier har analyserats och rationaliserats ur Trafikverkets perspektiv.Slutsatser som dras i rapporten är bland annat:CEEQUAL behöver hårdare krav samt en anpassning till den svenska marknaden för att bli ett effektivt verktyg att använda i Sverige.Trafikverket rekommenderas avvakta vidare CEEQUALmärkning till dess ovannämnda anpassning genomförts.Trafikverket rekommenderas vidare att försöka satsa på Whole Team Award vid ombyggnationen av Trafikplats Roslags-Näsby. Detta för att sedan göra en utförlig jämförelse med Trafikplats Viggbyholm, en trafikplats längs samma vägsträcka som även den genomgår en ombyggnation, dock utan CEEQUALmärkning.Den i skrivande stund rimligaste förhållningen till CEEQUAL för Trafikverket är att arbeta med de delar CEEQUAL tar upp som Sverige får som sämst betyg i och försöka integrera dessa i Trafikverkets egna miljö- och hållbarhetsarbete..
