The purpose of this study was to examine how the needs of social assistance for people with substance abuse are assessed in accordance to The Swedish Social Services Act 4th chapter 1§. The purpose was also to examine how substance abuse is assessed as a social problem by social workers, how the municipal guidelines concerning social assistance for substance abuser were constructed in relation to the Social Service Act and finally how social workers made their assessments of the need of social assistance to people with substance abuse in relation to the legislation. The sample was made among the municipalities in the county of Stockholm. Municipal guidelines were studied in 18 municipalities by content analysis. A sample of 11 social workers was chosen from 5 municipalities.

This study focuses on the use of animals in social work from the perspective of social workers. The purpose of this study is to examine social workers? experiences of animal assisted social work and how social workers view the integration of animals in various fields of social work. The research is based on a qualitative method and four semi-structured interviews were conducted with social workers. The theories incorporated in the study are Attachment Theory and Sense of Coherence (SOC).The following results are presented: Social workers are considered to have a more comprehensive understanding of clients compared to their associates who do not hold a degree in Social Work.

Social competence is an effective weapon at all costs on today?s market. In many job ads we can see the words to be socially competent. In our report we have studied the subject?s social competence, relations, relationship marketing and personal networks and looked to the connection these subjects have to one another.

In the last couple of years changes in the legal systems treatment of young offenders has given the social worker more legal responsibility. In view of this, our purpose with this study was to examine how social workers and prosecutors apprehend the role of the social worker during the legal process. The study was delimited to look into the handling of young offenders between the ages of 15 and 18 years old. The questions we intended to look at were: How do the social workers reason when trying to see the need of a child within a legal context; Do prosecutors and social workers experience that they have different approaches when looking at young offenders, as a consequence of their different professions; What is the opinion among social workers considering the duty of the social services to administrate community service for young offenders; How do the social workers argue when determining whether or not a young offender has a "special need for care". These questions were answered through empirical studies where six social workers and two prosecutors were interviewed.

Inlandskommunerna är de kommuner som tar emot flest flyktingar per invånare. Mycket har forskats på temat integration men få studier har undersökt integration på mindre orter. Syftet med uppsatsen var att undersöka om kvotflyktingar över 18 år som bor i en liten kommun anser sig vara eller ha möjlighet att bli integrerade i den kommunen samt vad de anser att inegration är. Studien baserades på sex kvalitativa intervjuer med kvotflyktingar boende på två orter i en norrländsk inlandskommun. Teorier som använts i studien är KASAM samt teorier om integration.Resultatet visar att de som bodde i centralorten överlag var nöjda och kände sig integrerade medan de som bodde på den mindre orten tyckte att den var för liten och inte erbjöd tillräckliga integrationsmöjligheter.

En empirisk undersökning av lärares uppfattning av begreppet social kompetens med syftet att synliggöra lärares uppfattningar av social kompetesn smat hur de arbetar med social kompetens i skolan. Uppsatsen tydliggör också vilka faktorer som är viktiga för utvecklingen av soacialr och emotionellt lärande som ämne i skolan. Den empiriska undersökningen bygger på nio lärarintervjuer utförda i årskurserna 4-9, med tonvilkten lagd på de högre årskurserna. Resultatet av studierna är att begreppet och arbetet med att utveckla social kompetens hos eleverns ärkomplext. Det finns många faktorer som inverkar på resultatet.

IT (Informationsteknologi) används i dag mycket för att distribuera och förmedla information internt och externt. Ett bra verktyg för informationshantering är verksamhetens intranät. Arbetet handlar om användbarhet i små SharePoint-projekt. Med användbarhet omfattas faktorerna användarvänlighet, anpassning och användaracceptans. Små SharePoint-projekt (på under 300 timmar) innebär att det finns mindre resurser för att tillämpa användbarhet.Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka utvecklare inom SharePoint sina åsikter och förhållningssätt kring användbarhet, samt hur användbarhet bäst kan uppnås i små projekt med begränsade resurser.

The purpose of this study is to highlight the opportunities of using social media as a communicative tool to attract and engage customers on different social media platforms. In recent years social media has become an important way for business to communicate with people both national and global. The idea behind this thesis was found when we saw different approaches of how companies used social media as a marketing tool. Through a qualitative approach we did eight interviews with six different companies and two social media consults which have given us a basis of what companies really want to achieve with social media. With these interviews we were able to analyze and discuss the abilities to interact with people and how companies distribute content that engage users and increase their credibility to the company..

This essay focuses on two social workers talking about their working field in the prostitution area in a Swedish city. The study aims to investigate how the social workers talk about their field and clients that are in it through the use of narrative analysis. Furthermore we discuss the complications with qualitative interviews, narrative analysis from a feminist theoretical and methodological point of view. The study is based on an interview with the two social workers. The result reveals only tendencies rather than a general "truth".

The purpose of my study is to give a good picture of what social media really is and how companies can make use of it, in their marketing strategy. This study gives you a snapshot over todays situation in the area of social media marketing.I have interviewed four different persons, who I believe have a great competence and are highly qualified for this kind of study. All of the interviewed persons work with social media marketing at a daily basis.

Med anledning av den finansiella kris som råder och den påverkan den haft på börs- och räntekurser världen över ansåg vi det intressant och samtidigt relevant att undersöka hur försäkringsbolag påverkas av denna situation. Vi valde försäkringsbolag då de hanterar både sina egna och sina kunders risker samt förvaltar stora portföljer. Den nuvarande ekonomiska situationen var bakgrunden till att studien genomfördes. Uppsatsen syftade till att undersöka om, och i så fall hur, försäkringsbolag anpassar och förändrar sin riskhanteringsprocess och organisation under den finansiella kris som råder. En kvalitativ metod tillämpades, där intervjuer med tre inom Sverige väletablerade försäkringsbolag genomfördes.
