The purpose of this paper was to examine social workers' experiences of integration of unaccompanied children. We aimed to study which factors in the individual and the community social workers experience affect the integration and how they, based on their understanding, work to promote integration. The essay has a phenomenological approach and focuses on the social workers' own experiences of the phenomenon. The empirical data was obtained from qualitative interviews conducted with five social workers, all administrators in cases involving unaccompanied children. The result shows that the social workers feel that the desire to integrate is the most important presumption that must be present in the unaccompanied children.

What Places Adolescents and Adults, Respectively, in Need of Social Assistance? A Qualitative Study of How Social Workers Whom Administrate Financial Assistance for Adolescents and Adults, Respectively, Describe Reasons Behind the Need of Social Assistance Amongst Their ClientsThe purpose of this essay was to study and compare how social workers whom administrate social assistance for adolescents and adults, respectively, describe reasons behind the need of social assistance amongst their clients. This was done due to the use of qualitative interviews with a total of six social workers. Of these six, three administrated social assistance for adolescents while the other three did the same for adults. Prior research of poverty attribution greatly inspired this essay.

Bakgrund: Vi har undersökt hur två skolor arbetar med rörelse. En skola som arbetar utifrån Bunkeflomodellen och en skola som inte arbetar kontinuerligt med rörelse. Syfte: Syftet med vår studie är att undersöka hur man kan befrämja fysisk aktivitet i skolan, eftersom dagens forskning visar att barn rör sig mindre och blir fetare. Utifrån syftet ställde vi oss följande frågeställningar: - Hur arbetar två skolor med rörelse för eleverna i åk 3-5? - Vilken är elevernas inställning till rörelse på dessa skolor? Metod: För att se hur två skolor arbetar med rörelse har vi intervjuat de pedagoger på skolorna som arbetar med rörelse.

The purpose with this essay was to study how the social work is shaped in the methadone programme and how the staffs treat and work with the social integration for the patients.We have studied the experience of a medical assisted treatment from two different treatment clinics and focused on their treatment programme. We have chosen to focus on the social aspect but we have also been taking part of the medical treatment - the methadone. In order to get a bigger picture of our problem area we also studied how Sweden's narcotic politic is constructed and how a narcotic life could look like before the entrance in the program. We describe this with the help of the theory about the narcotic carrer and the society's view on a normal living..

This thesis is a study of social movements and their possibilities to effect politics by infuencing values in society through framing. I've looked upon social movements from a functionalistic-structuralistic perspective, as if they were carriers of values from people that otherwise won't be represented in the political life. The values that the social movements are struggling for can affect both the opinion and the decision-makers since the social movements in an active way are trying ti influence the society. The thesis examines the political opportunities that social movements hav to mobilise and grow. I have looked at different factors that either improve or make the political opportunities worse.

Att vara fysiskt aktiv främjar hälsan på många sätt. Fysisk aktivitet förebygger förekomsten av hjärt- och kärlsjukdomar samt andra viktiga folksjukdomar. Fysisk aktivitet är starkt kopplat till lägre dödlighet, därav är det av stort intresse att vara fysiskt aktiv. Studiens syfte var att undersöka hälsoeffekterna av en 4-veckors högintensiv träningsintervention samt belysa dess genomförbarhet. Träningsinterventionen genomfördes på fysisk inaktiva individer.

Bakgrund: Personer som har en utvecklingsstörning är i hög grad utsatta för ohälsa där otillräcklig fysisk aktivitet är en bidragande orsak. Fysisk aktivitet på recept (FaR) är en effektiv metod för att främja fysisk aktivitet, men det saknas kunskap om hur den fungerar för personer som har en utvecklingsstörning.Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva erfarenheter hos sjukgymnaster inom habiliteringsverksamheter i Sverige av att använda FaR för vuxna personer som har en utvecklingsstörning på lindrig eller måttlig nivå samt hur tillvägagångssättet såg ut vid en förskrivning av FaR.Metod: Studiens design var explorativ med en kvalitativ ansats. Tolv intervjuer utfördes och materialet analyserades med kvalitativ innehållsanalys.Resultat: Analysen resulterade i tre kategorier och elva subkategorier. De tre kategorierna var Att ha rutiner för förskrivning, Att ta hänsyn till patientens förutsättningar inför en förskrivning och Att uppnå följsamhet. Informanternas beskrivning av tillgång till rutiner och struktur i arbetssättet varierade.

The purpose of this paper was to discuss stigma and stigmatisation in relation to social policy and social work. By discussing welfare systems in social policy I wanted to see if there could be any connection between social policy and stigma. I used case studies of hearing impaired adults to give examples of how the stigma processes work. By connecting the stigma and the social policy theories with the case studies I wanted to see how the social policy could affect the stigma processes or vice versa.In the paper the concept of stigma has been described and discussed, foremost using the theories of Erving Goffman. I have also discussed the welfare system and the connection between residual systems and stigma.

Corporate Social Responsiblity is today a well known concept in the business world. The concept contains responsibility and sustainability for those who chose to work with Corporate Social Responsibility and the three responsibility areas within the concept. Responsibility and sustainability is of importance, no matter what core business a corporation has. The responsibility goes both out from the corporation, to take care of the surrounding society and the environment. The responsibility also concerns the corporation interal, aiming for a sustainable work enivornment and good working conditions.

Aktivitet som terapeutiskt medium har varit centralt för att utveckla arbetsterapiprofessionen genom att använda aktivitet som mål och medel. Arbetsterapi är grundat på att engagemang i aktivitet är nödvändigt för hälsa och välmående. Trots detta har mycket av professionsutvecklingen lett till interventioner som inte är aktivitetsbaserade. Basal Kroppskännedom? (BK) och arbetsterapi har flera gemensamma grundantaganden.

I uppsatsen intervjuas: samordnare, metodutvecklare och boendestödjare om sin syn på social dokumentation och om hur arbetet går till på deras arbetsplats. Social dokumentation handlar om att dokumentera vid handläggning och vid genomförande inom verksamheter styrda enligt SoL, LSS, LVU och LVM. Uppsatsens syfte är att visa på olika sätt att se på den sociala dokumentationen inom fältet boendestöd och att exemplifiera vad social dokumentation kan vara. Resultatet visar att social dokumentation sker i ett sammanhang och variationen mellan olika boendestöd är stor. Uppsatsen exemplifierar olika aspekter av dokumentationen genom att beskriva dokumentationen med beslut, genomförandeplan, uppföljning av insats, förbättringsåtgärder och visa på den sociala dokumentationens potential..

Syftet med följande arbete är att undersöka vad fritidspedagoger från olika skolar anser om fysiska aktiviteters betydelse samt hur fritidspedagogerna arbetar med att främja och stödja elevernas fysiska utveckling på fritidshemmet. Arbetet ger en översikt av tidigare forskning om fysisk aktivitet och fritidshemmet. Med hjälp av kvalitativa intervjuer ville jag få reda på hur fritidspedagoger tänker kring fysiska aktiviteter betydelse för barn, hur fritidspedagoger arbetar med fysiska aktiviter på olika fritidshem och vad fritidspedagoger tycker om sitt nya uppdrag att komplettera skola när det gäller fysiska utveklingen. Sammanfattningsvis pekar resultatet på att alla intervjuade fritidspedagoger har gemensam uppfattning om vilken stor roll har fysiska aktiviter i barns utveckling och hälsa. Dock fanns det inte något målinriktat arbete med fysiska aktiviteter på fritidshem som undersöktes. Det visade sig att alla respondenter försöker planera och arbeta för att kunna bjuda barn som vistas på fritidshemmet på olika fysiska aktiviter så ofta så möjligt.

How do you do co-operation between government agencies? It is a wide spread view that there can be quite a few hitches in co-operation between agencies. In later years this idea has spread to the media where there has been negative coverage of the social service agencies. This generally applies to cases where children suffer because the right assistance takes too long to co-ordinate or does not get co-ordinated at all between schools, healthcare and social services. The social welfare law dictates that it is the social welfare office duty to co-ordinate the government agencies for the child?s best interest.

Our paper is targeting mainly students, but also all other people interested in social work with children. The purpose of our study was to investigate how the social workers experience and handle their work with children, who have been exposed to sexual abuse, and what kind of support and guidance the social workers are offered, in order to handle their working situation. We chose to perform a qualitative study, by the use of interviews, since we found it to be the most appropriate way to gather the information. Our conclusion is that the work with these issues is emotionally burdensome and requires a great commitment, however it is essential for the social workers to maintain a certain distance to their work, in order not to influence their personal lives. It is through experience and knowledge that the social workers learn how to handle their working situation. We also learned that although the work with sexual abuse against children gave birth to different emotions of the social worker, the social workers feel satisfaction with their work, by helping the exposed children. We hope that our paper will inspire and encourage to further studies in the area, since there is still much to be explored. .

 Den föreliggande studien är en gransknig av ett projekt som högskolan i Gävle tillsammans med Fjärran Höjderbadet har utfört under hösten 2008. Projektet gick ut på att personer med stillasittande arbeten skulle få hjälp med träningen av studenter som utbildade sig till personliga tränare. Uppsatsen bygger på två enkätundersökningar som utfördes på 27 stycken personer. Det var 14 stycken som fullföljde båda enkäterna vilket ger ett bortfall på 13 stycken. Undersökningsgruppen fick under en 8 veckors period prova på att ha en varsin personlig tränare till sitt förfogande.
