As commonly known, Social Media is a rapidly growing area. Since consumers to a great extent are present in Social Media, this new internet environment is increasing in relevance for consumer marketing. For controversial brands that are regulated in conventional marketing channels Social Media is an extra ordinary marketing opportunity, since Social Media is a legal grey area. More and more controversial brands are taking advantage of this opportunity, but the effects of these marketing activities are fairly unknown. Therefore there is an interest in examining the controversial brands marketing progression in Social Media.

In this study I have explored the profession sales people and how they use Social Media. I have also studied their needs for further education and how it can be addressed in Social Media, in order to learn how a B2B-company that educates in sales training can meet sales people in Social Media. It?s an empirical study based on individual interviews with a semi-structured interview template. Respondents were of mixed age, both men and women.

In recent years, more and more people have started to live double lives. Blogs, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter have created conditions so that we increasingly live virtual lives on the Internet. The gathering of people in this way entails both risks and opportunities for businesses. This study aims to explain how the phenomenon of Social Media has affected trade and service companies in a marketing and communication perspective. The idea for the essay came to us after we had observed how different behaviors in companies? concerning Social Media could vary a lot, and how we felt that this affected our personal view of the brands.

The aim of this essay was to deepen the knowledge of how child-protection-work is illustrated by massmedia. The essay takes it stand in discourse analysis to explain what image is displayed of social work concerning child-protection that is published in news media during 2007 in one of Sweden?s most read evening-papers. The result of the study is that social workers involved in child-protection-work often are categorized as either too zealous or too uncommitted, in the media. The result reflected the current discourse concerning how social workers do their duties in the modern society..

The purpose of this essay is to explore how Social Media affect the political orientation and commitment of youths. Three scientific questions highlight the purpose from different angles. The didactic perspective is discussed in the initial and closing discussion, and is analyzed in the corresponding chapter. Two methods are involved in the study; one survey and one interview with a focus group. The survey had a total of 98 respondents from four different classes, all in the first grade of upper secondary school.

Motivation is a key factor in sustaining a healthy and active lifestyle, and technology has afforded us new methods for attaining information concerning exercise and health. This paper aims to examine how Social Media can motivate individuals to obtain and maintain an active and healthy lifestyle, as well as identify which particular Social Media channels are preferred for this purpose. Both quantitative and qualitative methods were used as data collection in this research. The results of this report show that images and text shared on Social Media, as well as the communication therein, can function as motivation for individuals to commence and maintain a regular physical activity and health regimen. Additionally, an individual?s sharing of their own training and health routine is enough to motivate the person in question to sustain their training and health procedure.

The purpose of our study is to see how an organization, and also a administrative authority, communicates by using Social Media. The organization in this case is the Swedish Police, because of their paradoxical problem with confidentiality versus openness and transparency. The Police has over a hundred Facebook-accounts, where they try to have a open dialogue with their publics without breaking the law of secrecy. Our general purpose of the study is also to see what the pros and cons are of having a own media channel, instead of the traditional media and their often anticipation twists.The result of the study showed that the three different police precincts, which we investigated in our essay, are working in three different ways. The gap may affect their overall reputation and trust gained by their publics.

The study examines how Social Media can be used in a business-to-business context. To understand the communication conditions, factors has been identified that affects the choice of communication channels for different types of information transferred between parts. Furthermore, the study investigates the underlying reasons for why certain communication channels are chosen before others, in different situations. The study results are based on qualitative semi-structured interviews with employees in a small engineering consulting company. The investigation has focused on employee communication and choice of communication tools primarily in relation to the business relationship.

Social Media has today reached a level of maturity similar to the Internet in the beginning of the millennium. More and more people get involved both on a private and professional level and companies are starting to realize the need to keep up with the new online behavior of its target groups. The Investor Relations(IR) function has for a very long time been carried out by writing reports and press releases, but maybe as times change so will the tools needed to communicate the IR-issues for the companies? The purpose of this paper was to examine the views on and involvement in Social Media for IR-purposes at the four main banks in Sweden: Nordea, SEB, Handelsbanken and Swedbank. The study was carried out in the form of a qualitative case study in which the banks were analyzed separately with the help of Davids and Venkateshs TAM2-model(2000) and also analyzed against one another.
