Distribuerade Kontrollsystem för Smarta Elnät Baserat på Raspberry Pi
Artikelns fokus ligger på smarta elnät och specifikt den distribuerade kontrollen av dem. Syftet med projektet var skapa hårdvaran och mjukvaran till ett distribuerat informations- och kontrollsystem för att kunna styra lasterna till en liten elnätsmodell, ICS byn (Industrial Information and Control Systems). Speciellt så skulle det undersökas om det var möjligt att skapa ett fungerande kontrollsystem med billiga kommersiella produkter, Raspberry Pi:s och Arduinos. Projektets resultat kommer sedan att användas för ett fortsatt utvecklingsarbete på ICS.För att skapa det distribuerade kontrollsystemet så användes JACK Intelligent Agents, en utvecklings miljö för multiagent system baserat åa Java. Rapporten tar upp de olika hårdvarukomponenterna Arduino, en mikrokontroller och Raspberry Pi, en linuxbaserad dator och transistorkretsarna som har byggts för att kunna driva de elektromekaniska brytarna i byn från Arduinon.

The design of the building envelope affects the energy consumption of a building. As the energy requirements for new buildings are becoming more demanding, the performance of the building envelope must be improved. Energy efficiency and durability are important attributes to consider.This report includes investigations of the building envelope, moisture and passive solar energy. It is based on the analysis of two different buildings with different designs. These buildings stand as reference for two of the companies who are working on a new, climate smart, residential area in Uppsala, Sweden.Studies and analyses on energy consumption and moisture transportation were made.
Produktivitetsstudie Brobyggnad
The development of productivity in the construction industry has long been at a steady state compared to the manufacturing industry. Studies have shown that, amongst other things, waste on construction sites can reach up to one third of the total production cost. This has been observed from different aspects, and change is forthcoming.This thesis aims to provide a foundation for an increased productivity at production sites of building bridges. It is primarily based on a field study at Skanska, at a bridge construction site near Grängesberg. Via continuous interviews with the whole production crew, construction workers and management, information on interference and possibilities of improvement at the work site has been documented.
Den urbaniserade Umeälven : Vattenkraftverken som utsträckt urbanisering
This paper examines the power producing dams along the Ume-river as an integral part of and a result from the urbanization process in Sweden during industrial capitalism. The aim of the paper is to contribute to the knowledge of the urbanization process in Sweden in general and of its traces along the Ume river in the county of Västerbotten in particular. The paper applies the theory of concentrated urbanization and extended urbanization put forward by Neil Brenner and Christian Schmid (2015) and argues that the building of power producing dams along the Ume-river is part of an extended urbanization process. This becomes particularly evident when examining the vast physical structures that is the dams, situated in an otherwise remote and sparsely populated area. These vast physical structures are also very well connected to a nation wide electric grid that has connections to bordering countries as well.

Fodder to ruminants within agroforestry systems in Rwanda - species and management
Rwanda is one of the poorest countries in the world and about 70-80 % of the population lives in rural areas. The land is strongly affected by land erosion which makes it difficult for the agriculture and food production. Agroforestry is a system where tree plantation is combined with livestock- and crop production. The system provides soil fertilization and binds the soil together. Some of the trees used in agroforestry systems are also used as fodder.

Avsikten med projektet har varit att hitta skillnader i APD- och logistikplaner i samband med väderskyddat byggande gentemot traditionellt byggande där väderskydd inte används. Spelar APD-planen en viktig roll när det gäller väderskydd? Kan man effektivisera byggandet med en smart APD- och logistikplan? Med hjälp av litteratur och fallstudier är detta frågor som vi ska försöka besvara. Använd litteratur består av forskarrapporter och tidigare examensarbeten. Projektet består av fallstudier där tre platschefer intervjuats.
Elanslutning av fartyg i hamn : en studie om förutsättningar och konsekvenser för Köpings och Västerås hamn
The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the possibilities for shore side electricity in the ports of Västerås and Köping. A technical solution to connect the vessels to the local grid is suggested and the investigation is also aiming at an understanding of how the environment is affected by the use of shore side electricity. Furthermore, the costs of shore side electricity are considered.The maximum power demand of a vessel visiting the ports today is relatively small, but the ships visiting the ports in the future might have a larger power demand. The suggested dimension for the system is 5 MW and the result shows that the shore side electricity requires the power distribution to the ports to be expanded. The most useful solution in the ports is to connect the ships with 12 kV from a connection box in a pit at the quay.The investigation of the costs shows that it is cheaper for the ships to use electricity compared to the marine fuel.

I denna uppsats studeras hur en 15-årig pojke med dyskinetisk Cerebral Pares och dysartri använder ett kommunikationshjälpmedel med förformulerade fraser i samband med tre besök i butik. Bakgrunden till studien utgörs av ett interventionsprojekt vars syfte var att låta pojken öva på användandet av sitt hjälpmedel samt använda det i olika servicesituationer, dvs. att handla, gå på café eller motsvarande. Pojkens kommunikationshjälpmedel är en pratapparat i form av en bärbar dator med mjukvaran The Grid installerad vilken bland annat innehåller en ordprediktionsfunktion, en funktion att formulera fraser i förväg, samt en talsyntes. Uppsatsens material består av interventionsprojektets inledande och avslutande inspelningar i butik.
Analys av systemfaktorers påverkan på tillförlitligheten i distributionsnät
In this master thesis outage statistics covering tree years from two distribution grids are analyzed with the purpose to deduce which factors yield outages. The statistics are extensive therefore allowing in-depth analysis of both customer and system related factors. From this starting point and as a model of explanation energy not supplied is studied as the consequence and the measurement of the inconvenience caused by outages. Different methods for calculating energy not supplied are developed and studied and put in comparison to the method used in Network Performance Assessment Model, which is the Swedish frame work for regulating electricity distribution.Analysis of the outage statistics show a relation between the type category of customer and outages that can be deduced to the variance and the density associated with that customer category. Prioritization of different customer categories is elevated also in this aspect.

Utvärdering av labpilot - flödesbatteri : Experimentell studie
Results have shown that flow batteries may be a solution in the future as an effective and environmental friendly method to an energy storage system (ESS). The technology is reliable and has a high efficiency that comes with low energy losses and a long lifetime. The range of possible fields is suitable for cutting energy peaks in the power grid, by always have a ready and available energy storage that balances the production. By comparing the advantages of flow batteries with conventional batteries it is mainly the fact that they can conserve energy for a long time without being self-discharged thanks to that the storage capacity is in principle endless and limited by the size of the electrolytes tanks that makes them a great energy storage system. The batteries won?t take any damage or decrease in performance when charging or discharging it or if you exhausts it to 100 % and leave it discharged for a long time.

The purpose with this essay is to study how a micro enterprise builds a brand. This because the current situation makes it difficult to stand out from the vast amount of marketing messages available in the market without having an extensive marketing campaign. Small companies do not have the opportunity to put a lot of recourses as money into marketing as the large companies do. Neither do they afford to repair a brand failure.Brand building is a process that constantly is in progress in a company, large or small. To make this process concrete we have chosen to study the four factors; brand awareness, perceived quality, brand associations and brand loyalty.
