This Thesis aims to explore how to integrate an IT-system for facilitating anorganizations work with Continous Impprovements.This is done here by examining and analyzing the process within a handful ofcompanies who seem to have been successful with their own implementations. Thestudy is focused on the implementation of one particular system, "System C2".Simliarities and differences between the companies, and the established rule of thumbfor these kind of activities are focused upon. This to emphasis how another actormight emulate some of the apparent success.Part of the core question is found in the title, since Continous Improvement is oftenseen as a relativly low-risk activity, is it then also possible to take a low-risk slow pathto the implementation of such a system in the entire organization?.
Diskursanalys på den Etiopiska regeringens nationala handlingsplan om bekämpning av ökenspridning
In this paper discourse analysis on the Ethiopian National Action Program (NAP) to combat desertification is made. The aim is to describe how the overall image/picture of desertification, its causes, and effects and of possible solutions are presented in the NAP. The result of this analysis shows that the main cause of desertification is human activities mainly due to the poorly developed socio-economic situation in the dryland areas. It is indicated that an excessive dependency of the rural population on the natural resources, particularly land, is the major cause of land degradation and this deterioration of land is said to have been caused by the rapid population growth, overgrazing, forest clearing as well as past government and institutional failures. In addition it is indicated that the effect of desertification usually involves ecological changes that sap land of its ability to sustain agriculture and human habitation, therefore the most serious threat to human welfare.

The purpose of this project has been to redesign an already existing cook-book. The title of the book (directly translated), ?Season in food ? the year around with herbs and spices?, contains what the headline imposes: spices, herbs and food. But when the author tries to entwine these parts and communicate it to the reader it is not working all to well due to a poor and inconsistent graphic design.I have followed the theories and values of information design when I redesigned the book layout with the intent to simplify the communication between author and reader. In the progress to make a complete dummie of the book I did multiple literature studies, book analysis, tests and a vast number of drafts.In this report I will describe the whole process from start to finish.

Ett snabbare mode med allt kortare produktlivscykler tvingar företagen att hitta nya sättatt interagera med sina kunder på för att skapa långvariga relationer. Nya aktörer pådistanshandelsmarknaden, både svenska och utländska, ökar konkurrenssituationen för debefintliga e-handlarna som utmanas både prismässigt och modemässigt. Konsumenternaär idag mer krävande och mer medvetna om pris och kvalitet, vilket gör attdistanshandelsföretagen pressas till förändrig för att locka kunder.Sociala medier har tagit allt större plats och genom word-of-mouth sprider privatpersonersina åsikter och erfarenheter kring produkter och företag. Företagen måste använda sig avden nya typen av marknadsföring för att på bästa möjliga sätt vara konkurrenskraftiga.Även webbshoppen, som inte bara fungerar som butik utan också sommarknadsföringskanal, påverkar kunden inför ett eventuellt köp.Idag produceras betydligt mer än vad som säljs, vilket skapar ett överskott av produktersom är svårt för företagen att göra sig av med. Slow-movers brukar reas ut, trots attföretagets image och status påverkas negativt.Med den här bakgrunden i åtanke, har vi i vår uppsats arbetat utefter syftet att undersökaoch analysera problemet för att finna möjligheter för Nelly att minska sina slow-movers.Vad kan producenterna erbjuda Nelly samt vad kan företaget i sin tur erbjuda kundernaför att lösa problemet?Våra intervjuer med anställda på företaget visar att de strävar efter att interagera mer medsina kunder, både genom communities och genom bloggar.

Today that number is about 70 % in Europe and North America, and in 2050 it is expected to be 86 % in the developed world and 67 % in the developing world (www, UN, 2009). In addition, the global population is expected to increase with 2.2 billion people until 2050. The connection between body, soul and social surroundings and their influence on health has, in the western world, been known for over a hundred years. The hospital social worker with tasks within the area of the psychosocial perspective is therefore now a part of Swedish healthcare. Yet both international as well as national research and literature show that social workers have a slow professionalizationprocess and difficulties describing their area of tasks and methods. This study aims to explore hospital social workers line of work, what they believe becomes help in their work with patients and put results in relation to professionalization in the medical environment. The results are problematized from perspectives like professionality, power and role.The study includes 86 hospital social workers at Sahlgrenska Universitetssjukhuset in Gothenburg Sweden and it contains both quantitative and qualitative parts.

An increased awareness about the global warming has created a demand for more information on how the climate is affected by different activities.This master thesis was initiated by Tricorona, a Swedish company that offers its customers analysis and calculation of their climate impact. Tricorona also supplies climate neutralisation with CERs, in accordance with the Kyoto protocol and controlled by the UN. This work demands updated emission factors for greenhouse gases. An emission factor gives information about the greenhouse gasintensity of a service or a product [kg CO2-eq./ functional unit].The purpose of this thesis is to examine how electricity, district heating, hotels, taxis, food and materials affect the climate and how emission factors for these areas can be calculated.This was done by reviewing and comparing different studies and by interviewing experts. The information was evaluated and recommendations on calculations and emission factors were made.The consumption of energy is the main source of greenhouse gas emissions for district heating, electricity, hotels, taxis and materials.
