Syftet med min uppsats är att analysera på vilket sätt Nanni Moretti framställer mediekritik, vilken som är denna mediekritik, vilka teorier som möjligen kan spåras i denna mediekritik och vad som enligt Moretti blir den demokratiska konsekvensen av italiensk mediekultur. Jag kommer även att gå in på den filmstil han använder, vad som kan vara ursprunget till Morettis filmiska metod och hur detta används i formulerandet av Morettis mediekritik. Vilken är den mediekritik Nanni Moretti uttrycker implicit och explicit i Caro Diario och Aprile, och hur ställer han sig i förhållande till gamla mediekritiska teorier? På vilket sätt får hans filmstil en roll i mediekritiken och vari ligger denna filmstils ursprung?Resultatet av studien är att jag funnit tydliga spår från medieforskare som Jürgen Habermas, Pierre Bourdieu, Hans Magnus Enzensberger och Douglas Kellner i den kritik som av Moretti uttrycks genom filmerna. De teorier som dessa forskare formulerat, liksom äldre mediaforskning, kritiseras samtidigt av Moretti och han visar i sina filmer en metod att undkomma de demokratiska problem som en dominerande mediekultur innebär.

BACKGROUND: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a slow progressive disease affecting the family caregivers by limiting their lifestyle. Subsequently the situation can be experienced as stressful for both the afflicted and the relatives. To easier understand the needs of the caregivers of family members suffering from COPD have, it is important to get an insight into their experience of every-day life, so that medical staff can help, support and promote their health according to their needs. AIM: To illustrate caregivers? experiences of living with a family member suffering from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.

Syftet är att genom en textanalys undersöka hur konsthantverk används och tolkas som ideologiska och politiska budskap. Fokus ligger på fyra olika tematiker nämligen DIY ? Do ityourself, craftivism, välgörenhet och miljöfrågor. Frågeställningar som ska besvaras är hurkonsthantverk och slöjd framställs som ideologi i dag och hur man kan förstå den ideologiskarörelsen inom konsthantverk som en del av en historisk process.Tidigare forskning ger en bild av hur ämnet behandlats av olika forskare och en historiskttillbakablick på konsthantverkets roll i samhället.Analysen behandlar texter om nutida rörelser och ideologier inom hantverk och är struktureradefter de fyra tematikerna. DIY är den första vars vision är att uppmuntra den egna kreativaförmågan som ett motstånd mot dagens konsumtion och massproduktion.

Från början hade vi ställt in oss på att vi ville hitta ett nytt sätt på hur man kan designa IT-relaterade produkter med ungdomars välmående och hälsa i tanke. Detta visade sig inte vara den lättaste uppgift två interaktionsdesigners, utan någon som helst bakgrund eller insyn om människors välmående, kunde tänka sig. Efter mycket efterforskning både i böcker och på Internet började vi förstå att vi inte var ensamma i vårt mål att motverka att stress uppstår i relation till dagens informations teknik. Flera andra forskare med bakgrund inom sjukdomar, rehabilitering och medicin hade varit aktiva inom fältet men bara ett fåtal interaktionsdesigners innan oss hade försökt sig på något liknande. Vi fick mycket inspiration från deras tidigare projekt och vi har försökt använda oss utav deras kunskaper och resultat.

Enligt undersökningar konsumeras allt mer kläder i Sverige, samtidigt som konsumenters efterfrågan på mer hållbara och miljömedvetna produkter ökar. Det är företagens uppgift att uppmärksamma konsumenten om de bättre alternativ som finns, ur ett miljöperspektiv, och det är upp till dem att tydliggöra sin position på marknaden samt göra sig mer synliga. Slow fashion är ett begrepp som funnits i decennier, men som fått fäste de senaste åren. Det är ett mode som kan bana väg för framtidens textilbransch och med denna rapport undersöks hur man kan lyfta fram och uppmärksamma fler människor på att dessa alternativ av företag finns. Denna uppsats är en fallstudie av ett svenskt företag som närproducerar kläder.

Researchers at Karlstad University have developed a method for making paper ion conducting. The reasearchers want to test this technique in various applications and produce products that make use of the ion-conducting paper. Hopefully this will drive the development forward and result in new applications for the ion-conducting paper.This study was to test the possibility of manufacturing a gas sensor of conducting paper along with electrodes of conductive polymers printed on the paper. By comparing the paper sensor with an electrochemical cell in which the electrodes of conductive polymer replaces electrodes of metal and ion-conductive paper replaces the liquid electrolyte in the electrochemical cell, it was hoped that it would be possible to measure the oxidation and reduction reactions that a gas could introduce at the electrodes.It was shown that it is possible to measure a potential difference in the range of 0.3 V to 0.5 V between the electrodes when exposing an electrode to 100% oxygen. The reaction that takes place is relatively slow and the reaction rate is partly due to the distance between the electrodes.Since the sensor can measure oxidation and reduction reactions it is possible that, in further development of a sensor, the sensor can be made ??into a versatile sensor with more applications than gas measurement as there are many more ways to oxidize or reduce the electrodes than by exposure to oxygen.During the study there have been discussions and meetings held with various companies in the sensor industry to be able to specify what the market demands of a sensor made ??of paper and the requirements that must be placed on the sensor for it to be interesting for the companies..

The aim of this thesis is to examine whether law reforms in the detailed planning process can be an aspect that gets in conflict with the citizens rights to participate in the Swedish planning through dialogue, and how five chosen municipalities are working with citizen participation. To be able to answer the aim of the thesis a literature study and five semi-structured interviews was performed in purpose to get wide-ranging information from municipal officials working with detailed planning handling. Law changes that aims to make the detailed planning process more efficient has been implemented partly to satisfy the needs of dwellings since the detailed planning process among master builders seems to be slow and inefficient, which to the them means higher costs. The requirement on having a detailed planning program was taken away when the new planning law was adopted year 2011. The planning program was including a moment of citizen dialogue. The case studied municipalities have not been affected in this law change arguing that it?s still possible to bring a program if needed.

The essay focuses on the blacklisted restriction of passive sales in the block exemption to Article 101 TFEU on vertical agreements. It confirms the authors' thesis that the distinction between active and passive sales do not cause any problems in the theory, but that the reality shows the opposite. The analysis further shows that more detailed guidelines probably would not solve the problem but rather it is the objectives behind the rules and practice that causes confusion.The essay questiones whether the changes in the new guidelines for the block exemption also involves a change in the Commission's approach to the restrictions on passive sales when the same purposes as before lies behind the rules, where the goal of an integrated market is the most important. The impact of the so called "economic approach" within practice since the 1990s, when it was first introduced, suggests that changes are slow. The essay requests a greater openness to the fact that the realization of a single market and the desire to move closer to the commercial reality of companies collide.One proposed solution is given, where the rules would be designed so that 'absolute territorial protection' is prohibited, contractually and de facto, and that it is left open for companies to determine if their actions lead to this.

The number of female officers employed in the Armed Forces is low. Of the total proportion officers, female stand for 4.8 %. The Armed Forces are currently working actively to level out the distribution. This paper is intended to create a better understanding of the slow increase in female officers in the Swedish Armed Forces. The study is qualitative and the results from the data collection have been based partly on a text analysis, partly on a theme-based group interview in which three themes have been discussed.

Bakgrund för studien är ett intresse för filmens förmåga att spegla ett samhälle och ge uttryck för olika hegemoniska ideologier. Sverige är ett litet land med en liten, till stora delar statssubventionerad, filmindustri och det är därför intressant att se vilken ideologi som uttrycks i de filmer som belönas med Guldbaggar och därmed framhävs som filmer av god kvalitet.Syftet är att genom analys av tre utvalda prisbelönta filmer försöka ge exempel på hur i Sverige rådande hegemoni och dess ideologi avspeglas i svensk film.Frågeställningen lyder: går det att spåra några trender i uttryck av ideologi och hegemoni i studiet av En kärlekshistoria (1970 - Roy Andersson), Pelle Erövraren (Bille August) och Lilja 4-ever (2002 - Lukas Moodysson).Studiens utförande har skett i formen av en innehållsanalys av filmerna med fokusering på deras tema och stil.Studiens resultat pekar på att det finns ett intresse bland dagens svenska filmmakare att skildra och kritisera sin samtid i större utsträckning än vad 1980-talets regissörer gjorde, något som dagens film verkar ha gemensamt med 1960- och 1970-talsfilmen. The aim of this research is to examine the Göteborg International Film Festival Fund (GIFFF, 1998?2011) as a part of the festival's overall operations, to provide answers to questions about if/how the Fund can be understood as an expression of the festival's fundamental values, and how the Fund can be recognized within the festival's strategic development. The GIFFF is also discussed in relation to contemporary academic studies that interpret Western film funds for the developing countries ? such as Hubert Bals Fund and Fond Sud Cinéma ? as an expression of Eurocentrism.The investigation is based on the contemporary film festival research, previous academic studies on Göteborg International Film Festival, the festival?s printed material ? such as programs and press releases ? as well as interviews with the former festival director Gunnar Bergdahl, who initiated the Fund, and festival editor Ulf Sigvardson, who ran the Fund during its final years of existence.The conclusions are: The Fund's objectives ? such as to support filmmakers and film schools in the developing countries, and also to screen their films at the festival ? can be seen as a broader interpretation of the vision that was determined by the festival founders, that the festival should be a platform for independent filmmaking and also help screen the films that otherwise would not reach the Swedish audience. Also, the Fund was a significant part of the festival's expansion strategies during the 1990s.

The purpose of this thesis work was to develop an automatic fault detection system for surveillance of bearing temperature in hydropower turbines. The parameters used except the bearing temperature were cooling water temperature and cooling water flow. A simple static model based on data sampled every minute was developed to estimate the bearing temperature. Then a detector for detection of change in bearing temperature based on the CUSUM-algorithm was designed. Since the amount of data was very small the developed model was too uncertain to be used in a working system.The designed fault detection system showed to work well for the available data.

The reindeer are kept in extensive pasture systems where the conditions are similar to thosefor wild reindeer. Since the reindeer have special demands on their pasture, it is difficult tokeep them in intensive production systems where they cannot graze selectively. Too manyreindeer on a small area will also facilitate spread of diseases. A selection program forreindeer needs special qualifications according to several different reasons. The purpose withthis literature review is to summarize the factors needed for a reindeer selection program andthe problems and possibilities included.Reindeer grazing right has a special meaning to the Sami and are reserved for them accordingto immemorial rights.

This paper aims to investigate the terms and conditions of a lesbian gaze and a lesbian spectatorship from a feminist and queer theoretical point of view. The empirical material consists of three paintings by the American artist Romaine Brooks (1874-1970).  Brooks was based in Paris in the early 20th century where she was surrounded by a group of intellectual and usually cross-dressing lesbians. The women within this context are the ones depicted in Brooks? paintings and this makes her one of the first artists in modernity to openly portray lesbian and cross-dressing women.

The process of drug discovery is very slow and expensive. There is a need for reliable in silico methods; however the performance of these methods differs.This work presents a targeted study on how the drug discovery methods used in OpenEye?s tools ROCS, EON and FRED perform on targets with small ligands. It was examined if 12 compounds (markers) somewhat similar to AMP could be detected by ROCS in a random data set comprised of 1000 compounds. It was also examined if EON could find any electrostatic similarities between the queries and the markers.
