Det a?r av stor vikt att va?rdpersonalen arbetar fo?rebyggande fo?r att motverka uppkomsten av trycksa?r samt att i god tid uppta?cka om ett trycksa?r har uppsta?tt.Syftet med denna studie var att underso?ka trycksa?rsincidens efter la?ngvarig neurokirurgisk kirurgi, identifiera vart trycksa?ren uppsta?r och om de kunde kopplas till riskfaktorer.Metoden som valdes var en kvantitativ prospektiv kohortstudiedesign fo?r att resultatet skulle kunna anva?ndas i den peroperativa och postoperativa omva?rdnaden. Hudkostymen inspekterades tva? ga?nger postoperativt pa? tjugoen patienter.Resultatet visade att 76 % av studiedeltagarna hade trycksa?r efter operation och det vanligaste fo?rekommande omra?det var ha?larna.

They are used for weeds (herbicides), insects (insecticides), and fungi (fungicides) and as growth retarders.Many horticulture workers get in touch with plants, treated with PPPs and many of these don?t use any protective equipment.The aim of this project is to illustrate the work environment hazards for staff working with greenhouse pot plants, after they have been sprayed.The method used was observations of the operations for packing plants. I studied the operations and took notes of how operations were performed and what protective equipment they used. I also took photos and asked questions.A literature study completed the observations.

The theoretical starting-point has been John B Thompson?s theory of the mediated publicity and John Corner´s theory of political persona and spheres of action. Various DN news texts, in all 38 articles, have been examined by content analysis from 25th of august to the 4th of November.

The purpose of this study is to see if articles from the newspaper Aftonbladet's antiracist campaign ?We like different!? reproduces racism through its language.The method that is used is discourse analysis, more specific Chantal Laclau och Ernesto Mouffes discourse theory. The theories the study relies on are race, racism, framing, racism in news, binary oppositions, stereotypes, whiteness and orientalism.Two discourses were found in the material, ?We like different? and ?We like the same?.

ABSTRACTPressure ulcers are a serious health damage that causes great suffering, prolonged hospital stays and increased health care costs. Patients undergoing surgery are at high risk of developing pressure ulcers and it is the operating theatre nurse responsibility to protect against health damage through nursing. There are little research made in the area of perioperative pressure ulcer prevention. In order to investigate perioperative pressure ulcer preventive care measures that are described in the litterature and to answer the question how the operating theater nurse can protect the patient, a pilot study of a systematic literature review was carried out. Data base searches were conducted in PubMed and Cinahl from where ten articles were selected and examined for their quality and content.

Strålbehandling är i dag en vanlig behandlingsmetod för cancer. Strålskador i form av hudkomplikationer är så gott som ofrånkomligt och drabbar ett stort antal patienter. Dessa hudkomplikationer är ofta till stort besvär och obehag för patienten. Än idag finns oklarheter kring hur dessa hudkomplikationer bäst förebyggs och lindras. Syftet med uppsatsen var att beskriva sjuksköterskans omvårdnadsåtgärder för prevention och symtomlindring av hudkomplikationer, samt vilka andra faktorer utöver strålbehandling som påverkar uppkomst av hudkomplikationer.

Virulent strains of Staphylococcus hyicus produce exfoliative toxins and cause a potentially fatal Skin disease in piglets known as exudative epidermitis. Vaccines and antimicrobials are used to control the disease. Antimicrobial resistance and the prevalence of several different toxin genes and toxigenic strains make it problematic. The aim of this literature study was to identify potential differences between countries and between healthy and diseased pigs regarding antimicrobial resistance and toxin-producing strains. Great differences could influence vaccine production, treatment strategies and surveillance programs.
