The purpose with this essay is to examine different roles of leadership in the working environment by interviewing ex-students that have taken their degree from Halmstad Högskola and its construction program. How do these ex-students handle to be in a position of power in their everday life and how do they handle decision making? Do they find that the education they have recieved in any way has helped them in regard for leadership or do they rather conclude that further education in the area of leadership would be beneficial? These are the questions that I set out to shed some light over in this essay. This study consists of one part theory and one empirical part. The empirical part was accomplished by interviewing ex-students from Halmstad Högskola and this part was later compiled with relevant theories on the subject which were obtained from books , internet and various databases.The results from the interviews show that the general point of view is that the subjects containing leadership in their education hasn't really helped them.

Project Safe Sleeping Position (SSP) contains all parts in a product development phase. The project comprises the whole cycle from idea to a complete product where all aspects are included. The scope is to develop an innovative solution for a common known problem and work with all parts within the man-machine-way. The result is an inflatable product which secures a child in the correct way for the seatbelt to work properly in the rearseat of a car. Ergonomics, technical extent, usability, design, construction, product solutions and market potential are some of all parts witch the project includes.

Status handlar om en persons position i en hierarki inom en viss grupp. Det är inte en egenskap utan något som uppstår i relationen mellan människor. Syftet med denna studie var att kartlägga eventuella skillnader vad gäller hur människor attribuerar kvinnors och mäns statusbeteende. Med hjälp av en egenframtagen enkät samlades data in från 57 studenter vid Psykologiska institutionen, Stockholms universitet. Data analyserades med hjälp av en variansanalys.

Middle managers in social care find themselves in a middle position. The middle management position involves demands from several interested parties. The demands affect and generate feelings both within themselves and within others and the middle managers have to deal with them all.The aim of this study was to investigate the social care middle manager?s personal experiences of emotions in work.We have completed interviews with four middle managers who are assigned to carry out social care. When doing the interviews we used an interview guide divided into different interview areas.

This paper focuses on traditional clothing enterprise IT strategies. The purpose was to investigate the correlation between traditional clothing companies IT strategies and their brand. In a market where the competition is high it has become more important that the company targets a customer segment. To reach their targeted customers the company builds their brand with different corporate strategies. This segmentation is necessary because of the high exposure to competition, and a well-established brand could be a prerequisite for profitability.  In today?s market, IT has a major impact on the clothing business.

This thesis aims to study brand change, which can be of interest since a brand during its lifetime can be expected to meet a lifecycle consisting of five phases; innovation, introduction, growth, maturity and recession. In order to avoid the recession phase and the sales decline that follows there is a need for a change of the brand.In order to study brand change, theoretical framework is compared to two real world cases that have gone through an active change.The conceptions of positioning, repositioning and revitalization are clarified. Positioning deals with how brands are located in customer?s minds as well as on the real market. Repositioning implies a change of the current position and is also often a move towards a new market segment.

Lyhördhet och dialog är något som eleverna upplever är viktigt för att ett inflytande ska fungera mellan dem och läraren. Trots att de är unga är viljan stor att bli behandlad som en medmänniska och skapa ett trivsamt klimat. De äldre eleverna känner ett förtroende för sin lärare, de anser att de kan diskutera direkt med denne. Medan de yngre eleverna tar hjälp via sina föräldrar, där de får föra barnets talan. Inflytandet sker mestadels under formella former och då gällande detaljfrågor.

This study is mostly based on previous research, which includes Sub-national actor?s attitudes and regional action towards the European Union. The purpose of the study is to investigate if four Swedish municipalities in Värmland operate internationally towards the European Union and deepen an understanding of their actions. The main research question is: - How can we increase our understanding of municipal action against the European Union? The research questions of this study are answered through qualitative method and semi-structured interviews were conducted.

För att Securitas AB skall kunna behålla sin position i Norrköping Flygplats är det viktigt att de effektiviserar sin bemanning och scheman. Detta krävs för att kunna uppnå kostnadsreduceringar som skall i sin tur ge dem konkurrensfördelar för att behålla sin position vid årliga upphandlingar som sker mellan kommun och flygplats. För att effektivisera sin bemanning och scheman skall teoretiska delar användas för att styra grupper och verksamheten bättre, teoretiska delarna är i form av schemaläggningsprinciper.Vid en effektivisering av verksamheten skall en optimeringsmodell användas med flera funktioner som möjliggör en heltäckande optimeringslösning för att generera den mest kostnadseffektivaste bemanningen för schemaläggningen. Ett tekniskt system som ett informationssystem skall även strukturera Securitas arbete effektivare med en bättre bokföring över de anställda samt underlätta tillämpningen av ett standardiserat arbetssätt. Vikten av ett standardiserat arbetssätt behandlas mycket inom LEAN-filosofin och anses viktig i detta fall för att få de teoretiska delarna och informationssystemet att fungera ihop.

This thesis have been performed at Sweco Position in Jönköping. The work was split into two, where one part included an investigation regarding the possibility of developing a cross-platform GIS (geographic information system) with HTML5 and CSS3. A prototype would also be developed within this part.The second part included development of a cross-platform GIS for a client to Sweco Position. The client operates in the forest sector and had already an existing solution, with many problems. The client required an application with delimited functionality and which was not bound to a specific hardware.As the client users often were located in areas with limited Internet access, one additional requirement was that there would be some offline support.The students handle subjects within development of GIS, for example map projections, map services and mapping libraries.The application came to be developed in HTML5 and ASP.net.

Like virtue ethics virtue epistemological accounts changes the focus from the object to the agent, i.e. from knowledge to intellectual virtue.

He became a popular violinist who later developed his own style. He used the potential of the violin to its extreme and explored new possibilities on the instrument.

I uppsatsen undersöks om kärnämneslärare upplever skillnader, och i så fall vilka skillnader, i sin undervisning beroende på om de undervisar i klasser från studieförberedande eller yrkesförberedande program. Det undersöks även vad lärare anser vara orsaken till dessa skillnader.  Inledningsvis ges bakgrunden till den gymnasieskola vi har i dag, med en kort sammanfattning av den kommande reformen GY 2011. Därefter följer en redovisning av tidigare forskning. Materialet har tillkommit genom ett enkätutskick till 60 stycken kärnämneslärare som undervisar i Akurserna i ämnena svenska, engelska, matematik, samhällskunskap och idrott&hälsa. Det har sammanställts, analyserats och redovisats huvudsakligen kvantitativt, men med kvalitativa inslag.

The objective of this study was trying to understand bullying focusing on the bully. The questions at issue were: What can contribute in the making of a bully? What are the benefits and losses in bullying? What are the former bullies? thoughts on bullying, now in comparison to in their youth. This was investigated with a qualitative approach from a former bullys perspective, hence three former bullies were interviewed. The result was presented in themes and was then analysed from a social psychological and social constructionist perspective.

Fastighetsmäklare och värderare är de som bedömer fastighetens marknadsvärde. Fastighetsmarknaden utgörs av potentiella köpare vilka är de aktörer som i slutändan avgör marknadsvärdet. De egenskaper på fastigheten de potentiella köparna efterfrågar, samt deras anledning till köpet, bör således vara vad fastighetsmäklare samt värderare prioriterar högt vid värderingen. Syftet med studien är att undersöka om skillnader förekommer i värderingssätt av en bebyggd skogsfastighet, mellan fastighetsmäklare med olika inriktning. Studien fokuserar på att belysa eventuella skillnader vid användning av olika värdepåverkande faktorer.Undersökningen har utförts genom kvalitativa intervjuer med fastighetsmäklare samt värderare verksamma i Värmlands län.
